Det nyligen ombyggda och återinredda huset ligger på 25 hektar av fastigheter inbäddat mot basen av Ramapo Mountains i Harriman State Park. Fastigheten har damm och bergsutsikt som glädjer användarna med bra djurliv och naturskådning. Vandringsleder ligger bakom fastigheten och har några väldigt populära spårhuvud inom några miles.

College Friends Reunion

The property was beautiful. Even though it rained we were so happy to look out the large windows and see the wildlife!The house was clean and everything we needed was there (including menus for ordering in food).

Pleasant place to stay and even look out the window

The property has a sunroom off the kitchen that overlooks the pond and flowing stream. We ate our meals there as we looked at ducks landing on the pond, a wild turkey walking by and a young Fox that played around the pond for over an hour.We came to see my sister-in-law and brought her back to the house to enjoy the view and pleasant surroundings.We were thrilled with the experience. I even videoed the Fox and sent it to the owner.

Tucked away treasure

Very convenient location with a beautiful view of a small pond and stream. Very comfortable accommodations - great beds and sitting areas. Enjoyed the extra snacks and water upon arrival. My kids enjoyed exploring outside. Very good and easy conversations with the owner. Thank you!

Wonderful Family Visit

Beautiful family escape

Beautiful stay - we were able to be with family and enjoy the place - home cooked meals, smores on the patio, watching beavers, deer and black bears (!!) from the breakfast table. Just what the dr ordered!

West Point Trip

We enjoyed waking up to the deer and "Billy" the Heron in the mornings who had come to visit the pond daily. The house was clean and tidy and had everything we needed for our family to enjoy some time together while being close enough to visit West Point.

American Dream Mall weekend

This property was in a great location to restaurants along Rt 17, along with all the great shopping and adventures at the American Dream Mall. Our family had a wonderful time exploring the area.

Great place to stay

We stayed here for my husband’s West Point college reunion. Sparkling clean home, great location. We arrived in the evening and so appreciated the basket of snacks left by the owner. We’d definitely stay here again.

Outstanding property!

If you’re looking for the perfect place to stay in the Suffern area, look no further! Beautiful pond and stream seen from the dining area and back patio. Deer, geese and other wildlife to see. Comfortable beds, nice kitchen, close to town, yet private. The owner was accessible and helpful.

Wedding get away!

This place was beautiful! I was very hesitant about booking in Vrbo since i had issues in the past! This house was beautiful! Clean and comfortable! I can't say enough nice things about it! John provided us a clean, well kept home. We appreciated him, the view of the lake, and the comfort of the home. Thanks John, we wouldn’t mind staying there again. We had a great time in the Suffern home, it was close to places where we wanted to be and it felt cozy and safe there..

Relaxing Respite

This property was a perfect setting for evening "down time" after busy days of family activities. We appreciateed the the secluded feel yet convenient location. The common spaces were great for interaction and conversation, while the sleeping rooms allowed for privacy. It was a lovely place to stay.

Beautiful area and cozy home

The property was pretty and this home was very comfortable. Clean and full of everything you need for a comfortable stay. There aren’t many hotels in this part of Rockland and even if there were I would definitely stay here instead.

Great escape

Quaint, very comfortable home in a beautiful setting on a pond with wildlife. Was perfect for my family of five home was well stocked and really enjoyed making s’mores on the fire pit only negative was there were numerous ladybugs in the home. Not sure if it was due to time of year or window AC units not being sealed to window completely. We plan to return again next year

NY getaway

Everything was neat and tidy. The home had everything we needed. We saw multiple deer and even a bear on the property! There was plenty of hiking nearby and it was conveniently located to everyplace we needed to go. Checkin/checkout was smooth and easy. We would love to stay here again in the future.

Beautiful home and property

Everything was great. It was easy to find and the home is great. The view of the pond is breathtaking. When I woke up on my final morning there and bear was bathing in the pond. It was AMAZING!

Hello, I am the forth generation of my family to live in this area. I am an avid hiker, naturalist, wildlife enthusiast, and truly enjoy all the things outdoors.

Varför värden valde detta boende

This property is part of my family's original farm purchased in the late 1800's. My parents built the house their selves in the 1950s (hence the name Cynthia's place). It is an absolute gem of a location and I want to share it with others who also appreciate nature and wildlife.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

The secluded location has fantastic views of the mountain and pond in the back yard on the 25 acre estate. Everyday provides for something new to see: the blue heron fishing at the pond, hawks circling over head, turkeys traveling through the back yard, deer at dusk or dawn, or just the clouds floating over the mountain.
