En bit av förändring rådde mig av Vrbo: Vrbo hämtar nu skatt från Wisconsin State och Sauk County på 0,055% ... JAG FÖR NU ATT SAMMANFATTA .07% BORGET AV MERRIMAC RUM SKATT FRÅN DIG PÅ ANKOMST ... KONTANT ELLER KONTROLL.
Skatterna är endast på rumspriset ... per natt.
Tyvärr måste jag göra det här ... känns klumpig, men jag måste betala den lokala rumsskatten.

Enhet 4 ligger på en tak av ek och björkträd - kaffe på balkongen i sällskap med löv och grenar över två våningar från marken! Enhet 4 är ett av åtta bostadsrätter i en byggnad inbäddad bland en mogen björk / ekskog med glimtar över Lake Wisconsin-dalen. Avslappnad, nyckfull, ljus inredning. Italienska keramiska golv i badkar och kök. Ny regndusch. Braskaminsats i den ursprungliga, vackra stenpisen. Liten eldstad utanför för lugna sommar- och höstavs; eller hjärtligt folk som steker s'mores på vintern.
Härliga, oljade teakträ laminatgolv LR och Hall - matta sovrum. Du kan komma att du vilar på en kuddehylsa broderad av min korniska mormor; eller snugglade under en täcke gjord av rutor av mäns kostymmaterial; eller hitta blyerts ritningar skickade från skyttegraven från WWI från morfar Pengelly (Tom) till mormor Pengelly (Olivia) i Cornwall.
Prata om ... små överraskningar överallt.
OCH ... och hela basfiol för böcker!

Djurlivssyn - hjortar, kalkon, tvättbjörn, uggla och fåglar av alla slag flyger över eller går genom dessa anmärkningsvärda omgivningar. Underbar jorduppgång och jorduppsättningar. Jag tror att träden här uppe pratar.

Parfrey's officiella ingång till Glen ligger 20 minuters promenad bort. Devil's Lake ligger 10 minuters resa. Devil's Head Ski / Golf Resort ligger 200 meter längs Bluff Road. Pittoreska Merrimac GRATIS färja (säsongsöppen). Cascade Mountain Ski / Snowboarding eller Wollersheim Winery / Sauk City - 20-minuters resa. Attraktion anteckningsbok finns i enheten.

Det finns flera nya destillerier under uppbyggnad i Baraboo ... och Vintage Brewery är uppe och går i närliggande Sauk City / Prairie du Sac-området.

Noise restriction after 10p. There are several resident families amongst our 8 condos...the condo underneath #4 has owner visits once or so a month.
NO NO NO NO SMOKING EVER! Even on the balcony - smoke travels. Find spots closer to the forest surrounding us.

End of summer get-away
This was a lovely place to stay. So close to many things to do in the area yet nice and quiet here. The host was very helpful and provided suggestions for things to do in the area as well.

The house is much cuter than the pictures - that's kind of rare! Lots of details in the decors and designs - many interesting little things you can explore and look at. Very roomy for a 4-people stay. Super quiet and cozy. Very closed to Devils' Lake which was why we were there!

Fantasic, cozy condo!
If you are looking for a private, unique and very clean condo, this is the place for you. My family had a wonderful time. Coffee on the balcony, comfortable beds and cozy furniture. We highly recommend!

Tree house stay
I loved staying at Rocky Glen. The condo had everything you need, including a well stocked kitchen. It was like staying in a treehouse. Lesleigh was a wonderful host and I enjoyed all the family history in the condo.

Lovely, relaxing place to stay!
Lovely condo so close to some of WI's most beautiful state parks and trails! The condo was fully stocked and beautifully decorated. This place was the perfect home away from home! Lesleigh was a wonderful host! We would definitely stay again!

Great time!
We stayed here for easy access to Devils Lake and the Dells. It worked great for what we needed and we enjoyed the peace and quiet it provided for the brief times we were there. We had our 4 children with us. I was concerned about our 3 and 4 year old not messing with all the decor. It was a bit of a challenge, but Lesleigh seemed very laid back and my older children enjoyed exploring all the interesting books and art.

Relaxing Comfortable Stay
A friend and I wanted to have a relaxing weekend trip to the Devil's Lake area. This was the perfect landing spot. Lesleigh is the perfect, helpful host with a very comfortable condo. The setting is beautiful and peaceful (except for the exceptional thunderstorm). It was everything that we were looking for. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

Best host, with the loveliest place
From the host’s greeting to the CDs and books to the treetop view to the artwork the condo is a lovely seclusion from the daily grind. Everything is set up for a warm and thoughtful retreat. This was our second visit, and not our last.

Fantastic extended weekend getaway!
Lesleigh's place was centrally located for all the activities we planned to do. I had read several reviews before booking and we are so happy we chose this condo tucked in the woods and scenic bluffs of Devils Lake. We went hiking in the state park, fishing in Lake Wisconsin, Lake Delton and along the Wisconsin river in the Dells. Lesleigh was an attentive host who provided many suggestions for area marina's/ restaurants (we loved them all). We even toured the Circus Museum. Her home is beautifully decorated and clean with ample space and a lovely wrap around deck to enjoy our morning coffee or evening wine. All in all it was a fabulous stay and we will definitely be back again (hopefully to ski this winter)!

Family get away
Fishing and hiking around Devils lake area with family. Lesleigh was a terrific hostess and greeted us upon arrival. Also was very responsive during our stay. The condo is well kept and well furnished. Beautiful area with a lush forest surrounding and close to so many natural attractions. Would stay here again without hesitation.

Outstanding accommodations and service
The condo was just as charming as the photos indicated, and there was no noise from the other units. The host went way above-and-beyond in accommodating us, even to the point of shipping to us clothing that we had left behind. Best short-term rental experience we've had.

Wonderfully relaxing!
We so enjoyed our stay! Lesleigh kindly met us at the door and showed us around. The place is set among trees on a hill. Perfect for relaxing out on the deck or looking out the windows at the nature all around! We plan to come again!

Relaxing stay
Amazing condo in the woods! Lesleigh was a great host and very responsive. The apartment was well decorated, super clean, and had everything we needed. I liked having a fire after a hike on a cold winter day. The closeness to Parfrey’s Glen and Devil’s Lake was a huge plus.

We’ve stayed here multiple times! Lesleigh’s place is like home away from home and conveniently located for skiing/snowboarding at Devil’s Head Resort. She is flexible with check-in time and was easy to reach when we needed her.

Nice, Quiet Getaway
This place was great! Very nice, comfortable and cozy. The host was very responsive and helpful. There are a lot of things to do in the area, so plenty to keep you busy (hiking, skiing, breweries, etc.).

Me comfy in the living room - fireplace blazing nearby and watching something wonderful on PBS...probably the Dicken's series...what teriffic tear-jerkers!

Varför värden valde detta boende

How could I NOT have fallen in love with this place!? (I didn't mean to...it was a first project for me/my chef brother.) Although not a skiier or golfer, I AM a walker and I just step out the door and I'm nearly in the woods...AND stepping out on the balcony puts you eye--level with tree tops. Only squirrels, cranes, turkey vultures, racoons, and lovely little birds get a better view.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

Peace - to watch the trees 'converse' with each other - the neverending changes framed by each window to the forest - the very occasional concert (Los Lobos a several several years ago) or fireworks from Devil's Head Resort on New Year's Eve - sitting around the firepit on a summer or fall evening - the water from a quartzite well in the basement (it bypasses the water softening system otherwise required for the building) - staying up the nights male owls joust in the air above our parking lot (I always think of the Quiddich field from Harry Potter.)
