Anglebury is perfect for a smaller family. With a double and a single bedroom, this ground-floor cottage combines modern furnishings with timeless charm. The L-shaped living area is lit by large windows. The well-equipped kitchen beckons culinary adventures. The tiled bathroom features a shower over the bath. While Anglebury lacks direct garden access, guests can enjoy communal gardens, enhancing the natural beauty of this retreat.
The space
Certified 4-Star Gold by VisitEngland, Anglebury is a perfect cottage for a smaller family and a dog. It sleeps three with one double and one single bedroom. It has a modern style of furnishing with tiled floors throughout, yet maintains all the character of a cottage.

The cottage is situated on the ground floor with Wellbridge cottage above. The large windows in the L-shaped living area give it a very light and spacious feel. The kitchen area is well equipped and offers everything that you would need in a holiday cottage.

There is a large dining table and plenty of seating around the smart television and contemporary electric fire.

The double bedroom with views over the courtyard has a flat screen TV and the second bedroom can be used as a single or home for a cot. The bathroom has a shower over the bath, hand wash basin, w/c and is tiled throughout.

The cottage overlooks the courtyard and as such doesn’t have direct access to a garden but guests are more than welcome to use the communal gardens and hot tubs around the site.
Other things to note
Experience the best of countryside living at our charming retreat. Guests are welcome to pick fresh vegetables from our kitchen garden and collect eggs from our rescue hens.

Let your doggie off the lead in our dedicated on-site dog walking area.

Entertain the family with a games room, pool table, and a playroom filled with books and toys for the little ones. Step outside to our outdoor play cabin, trampoline, and adventure playground, ensuring hours of fun.

Show the kids where vegetables come from, and cook up a storm with whatever you pick, fresh from our Kitchen Garden.

Relax in shared hot tubs, surrounded by nature's beauty. Immerse yourself in miles of forest walks through Thorncombe Woods and Puddletown Forest right at our doorstep. It's a truly memorable escape for everyone.

The courtyard conversion of historical farm buildings originally constructed by the father of author Thomas Hardy offers 16 individual cottages, each with their own character and charm. The family friendly 6 acre grounds offer so much space to roam and play, we have own cottage garden where guests can pick their own fruit and veg as well as our flock of very friendly hens that provide fresh eggs for guests to enjoy - help with feeding them is also very appreciated!
