Unfortunately we encountered a few problems. The cottage is described as rustic and I understand that description but that shouldnât mean the place smells damp and musty everywhere. There was black mould on the walls, the curtains were mouldy and dirty and the carpets felt damp. The cleaners had put wet/damp sheets on the duvets making some of the beds feel damp. The shower had apparently been fixed the day before but was freezing cold, the diy person didnât answer when I tried to call. There was hot water to use in the sink. On a positive note there is every possible utensil, glass and crockery item you could want, the oven, fridge and microwave were all clean and worked well. There was also a washing machine.With a little tlc to address the musty smell, a couple of new single mattresses and cleaners who used some common sense it would be ok. Not a place I would return to though. It is explained that it is very remote and I wouldnât attempt the track in a low car, be prepared to carry everything a short distance up the track from where you can park and across the grassy hill and down steps to the front of the cottage.
