Great Location - has a lot of potential

The location of this property was excellent. Decor was great. Im not sure if maybe I missed it on the listing but my oh my there were a lot of stairs to reach the room!! Walls a bit think and unfortunatley the ceiling fan only works if the light is on so got quite hot and stuffy through the night (we stayed for a weekend in April - might be more of an issue come the hight of summer)

Extremely poor communication

I had asked a question about my room almost immediately after I booked it that never got answered. I was expecting to receive information about exactly how to check in a day before I arrived, but instead, I received that information maybe an hour beforehand, which led to some anxiety about whether they were ghosting me and whether I'd need to find last-minute alternative lodging in a foreign city. I had questions about how to turn on the overhead fan, which they answered hours later, once I'd already figured out that the overhead fan did not work and that the busted fan in the closet was what I'd have to make do with in my hot room. Overall, it was a perfectly ok but not fancy room, but the extremely poor communication with the host made it an anxiety-inducing and frustrating stay. I would not recommend this place.
