Visthuset, historical cottage at Långnäs Manor

Our cottage, called Visthuset by Långnäs Herrgård (Långnäs Manor), is an old larder from the 19th century. In early 2000s it was renovated and used as permanent residence for some years. Since then it has been a self-catered holiday rental for up to 4 persons.

The cottage is situated by the lake Stor-Gösken, roughly 200 meters from Hofors Golf Club first tee and Hofors Padel. Hofors and surrounding areas offer many possibilities for sport and sightseeing. Please see our guidebooks.

The cottage consists of two floors. The bottom floor has a kitchen and dining area, including a wood stove, as well as a small bathroom with shower, toilet, and sink. The kitchen has basic necessities.

The top floor has a room with a Euro king-sized bed (160 x 200 cm), a chaise lounge couch, a lounge table, and a smart TV. Outside this room, right next to the stairs, there is a sleeping alcove with two smaller single beds (85 x 185 cm). A door enables some privacy between the two sleeping areas.

The cottage has a deck with table, chairs, parasol, and a grill. Guests are also welcome to use our garden. (Please note that our dog often runs loose on the property. Please let us know if this would cause you any discomfort and we will try to avoid this during your stay.)

Guests have the entire cottage and the deck at their disposal.

Vehicles can be parked just outside the cottage.

Please note the following:

1) Textiles are not included in the price. Guests need to either bring their own bed linen and towels or rent them from us for 125 SEK/person.

2) Cleaning is not included in the price. Guests need to either clean the cottage themselves before check-out or purchase a cleaning service for 1 050 SEK. Cleaning equipment and materials are provided by us for those who wish to clean themselves. In case of insufficient cleaning, guests may be charged for cleaning costs afterwards.

3) The stairs between floors are open without handrails.

As a guest staying at Långnäs Herrgård you can buy discounted green fee tickets to Hofors Golf Club. Senior: 50 SEK discount. Junior: 25 SEK discount. When you book accommodation with us, please let us know if you would like to use this discount.
