Head off for a day of adrenaline-fuelled fun at Rock and Rapid Adventures (11.5 miles) to try your hand at kayaking, climbing or abseiling. Alternatively, make a beeline for the wonderful Quince Honey Farm (12 miles) or head to Exmoor Zoo (12 miles). Go on long walks exploring the enchanting moors and visit the ancient Tarr Steps beauty spot (9 miles). The coastal towns of Lynton and Lynmouth, home to the Valley of the Rocks and a cliffside funicular railway, are within 20 miles. In the evening, return to this retreat to share a sociable al fresco dinner in the secluded garden. From the driveway, head straight to this lovely cottage and you’ll be greeted by an inviting hallway. To your right, you’ll find a sleek galley-style kitchen complete with everything you need to cook up a sumptuous meal for everyone. Continuing down the hallway, you’ll find a spacious open-plan lounge/dining area that boasts uninterrupted country views. When it’s time to eat, rustle up some dinner in the sleek kitchen and then gather everyone to eat at the elegant dining table. Afterwards, head back to the lounge area to catch up on your favourite TV shows. At the end of the day, there are four beautifully-styled bedrooms waiting for you. You’ll find one twin room and a king-size bedroom down the hallway, as well as two more double bedrooms just three steps up. Completing the layout, you’ll find two modern bathrooms – one with a shower cubicle and the other one with a bath. In the evening, return to this retreat to share a sociable al fresco dinner in the secluded garden directly next to the cottage and stargaze under the clear dark sky.
