Chose this property because it was everything need for 6 guys in the same room and everyone and own bed with acquitted amount of restrooms. Pricing was fair. Owners were very friendly and pleasant to deal with.

The stay was better than expected. After reading the reviews before traveling, I became extremely nervous about staying at the hotel. After findingboutbwebdisntbhave access to the family fun zone, we were a bit upset, BUT we still had access to the indoor pool, outdoor pool, and arcade so It didn’t matter. I think they should take the pictures down for the family fun park because it’s misleading. The communication with the reservation people was really really slow but they responded eventually. The room was really clean, overall we had a good stay.

Locked out!

We were locked out of our room for a few hours each day. The room wasnt cleaned properly, sliding glass door was dirty, table was dirty, dirty dish cloth. Not enough towels. Front desk people rude and unhelpful. Parking passes were not given to us. The parking deck was full, with only one vehicle able to pass through.

Disappointing!

The condo was well stocked clean and organized. We kept having issues with the smoke detectors going off everytime we opened the oven! The pool was a major upset for us. Our eyes burned as soon as we entered the room from the chlorine. The pool was nothing more than an oversized kiddy pool being only 3 feet deep and overfilled with screaming kids our entire stay. Then to say the least the hot tubes were roped off and out of order. The pool and hot tubes was a major reason for booking at Sand Dunes. All 8 of us were upset . We did however get to watch people next door enjoy their indoor pool :(

Roaches

We noticed multiple issues when we arrived with the room. Pictures do not show the paint peeling, missing door for the washer and dryer, and balcony door knob being broken. Not to mention that the furniture on the deck being broken. We said we can deal with all of that we mopped the floors twice and said we can make do. When we went to get in bed on the first night all of the sheets had sand all over them so we washed all of the bedding. We made do until the night before last when we found multiple roaches. Baby roaches all the way up to huge roaches. We we contacted them to tell them they said that they spray but they are a problem and offered to spray while we were there. We were utterly disappointed and shocked that they were that ok with roaches but by all of the different sizes that we saw it doesn’t seem as if they have ever sprayed for them or took any steps to prevent them. Do not recommend.

Upon entering the condo we noticed stuff all over the walls and on the carpet, maybe spaghetti sauce...idk. My nieces bedding had spaghetti sauce, or whatever it was on it, the shower curtains we mildewed, the dishes were dirty, the coffee maker was dirty. I wonder where the cleaning fee you pay really goes... After a day of doing dishes and using the kitchen faucet we needed something in the kitchen so we searched the cabinets and looked under the sink to find water an inch thick and a bucket over flowing with water. The faucet leaked and poured water in to the bucket every time you used it. The fact that there is an outlet for the dishwasher under the sink and near all this water is a safety issue and needs to be addressed. I contacted the the number left for you when there is an issue with no response, then tried the email left with no response also. I wasn't even given a heads up that the faucet leaked and I should keep an eye on the bucket. Obviously someone knows it leaks if a bucket is kept there. The only good thing about the place was the balcony, the location of the unit, the washer and dryer in the unit and the ice maker is right across the hall...

Disappointing Days in the Sun

In Myrtle Beach for a week with Girlfriends. Pictures of the condo we're fairly accurate. Could not see the condition of the master bath, walls & furniture. We were welcomed by roaches in the kitchen and one bedroom.No one responded to our request for service. A chair in LR was dirty & needed cleaning. MB bathroom was very small & in need of repairs. Had to close the door to open the drawers of the vanity. The biggest problem is how dirty the tile floors were throughout. When I called the customer service manager, she told me the floors should have been steam cleaned. Housekeeping dropped off clean linens we had requested because some beds had been slept in but no one took care of the flooring or roaches. Upon arrival, I went into the master BR to unpack and removed my shoes. When I later put my shoes back, the bottom of my feet were black! The other guests experienced the same problem. Needless to say, we had to wear socks or shoes inside the unit since no one came to take care of the floors. The other issue,which is not the owners fault,was the condition of the Trash Room on our floor. The stench was awful and gnats or some other bug was flying around. Went to another floor and it was the same. In closing, we enjoyed the beach, activities, shopping, choice of restaurants and being with great friends. But the memories we made are diminished by the condition of the condo.

It was a good location

The room needs updates, one of the beds was broken, the paint was peeling/chipping, one of the balcony doors was very hard to open. I asked for beach view and got entrance parking lot with some beach view. I didn't think it was worth the money it cost to stay there. Was very expensive.
