Nyligen färdigställt i slutet av 2017, är detta vackra bergshem ett verkligt fynd bland Tahoe Donner semesterbostäder. Beläget på en härlig tomt och med öppet utrymme, hittar du det enkelt att koppla av i den långsammare bergslivet.

Gå in på huvudniv��n där du hittar ett stort rum med en djup sektion och schäslong, stor väggmonterad tv, som vetter mot tr��dgårdsskogen. Ta en vandring på en spår som går igenom trädgården eller släde ner den milda bakgårds sluttningen. Det intilliggande gourmetköket är öppet mot det stora rummet och öppen spis, vilket gör att hela gruppen kan samlas.

Hemmet har tre sovrum (två ensuite), alla med helt nya madrasser och sängkläder. Våningssalen är bekvämt belägen på bottenvåningen, med befälhavaren (och sin egen TV) och juniormästaren ligger på övervåningen för extra integritet.

Året runt, avsluta dagen med en varm choklad vid spisen, eller med en blötläggning i den privata badtunnan, stirra på skogen eller på stjärnorna.

Great Tahoe Donner Spot

Contemporary Retreat at Tahoe Donner was a perfect rental. The kitchen was well appointed. Everything worked as intended. The layout easily accommodated all of us. Super dog friendly as well. Would totally stay here again.

We didn't want to leave!

The Contemporary Retreat in Tahoe Donner is a fantastic cabin. It looks great in the photos, but they don't do it justice. It's very well-appointed - everything you need is at your fingertips. We loved the open space out back and the hot tub. Great spot, thanks for the stay!

Great winter rental

This well equipped modern house was great for our new year ski trip. Nice & comfortable house for our group of 2 adults and 3 kids. Fireplace pumped out some good heat to warm the great room and the hot tub was perfect on the cold nights. We stayed during a big winter storm, and the snow plow came overnight and cleared the driveway to make sure we could get out in the morning. The property in the back was perfect for the kids to build a snow trail for sledding. I suggest bringing your own pillows, as theirs are like sand bags, but that's a minor complaint. Btw - being bear aware even during the winter is no joke, during our 1st night there, the neighbor forgot to close his garage door, and 3 bears were feasting on the garbage in the garage. We were able to get the resident's attention, and he was able to chase them off. It created some excitement. This house is close to to all the amenities central Truckee, Sugar Bowl, Northstar, and Squaw.

Much more than expected

Stayed here 4 nights with my daughters & granddaughters for our annual “girls only” get away. The house is beautiful & very accommodating for all of us. The young adults could watch tv until late and the noise wasn't heard in any bedroom. The kitchen was well stocked, the hot tub was amazing (a wonderful morning routine), the private beach provided us with a whole day of entertainment as well as the local bike and hiking trails. Everything was clean and well maintained, and the folks at Tahoe Getaways were great. We'll be back!

Perfect Place!

The house is ideally located, both spacious and cozy, clean and wonderfully renovated, nicely furnished and tastefully decorated. It provides both privacy -- with well-spaced bedrooms each with their own bath-- and a lovely, comfortable common space. Big picture windows look out onto trees, providing a secluded feeling. The hot tub was a fantastic bonus and clean as a whistle. I loved this house!

I loved staying at this house in Tahoe Donner. The house is so well done and comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay minus the power outage. Of course, I know this can't be helped but better preparing the house with flashlights and backup portable generators would have really helped. Also, sending out messages to your guests to let them know the estimated time for power restoration and asking if your guests are in need of anything, would have been really beneficial. I was packing up to go home because I couldn't stay without heat for the night, just as I had my last bag pack the power came back on. I called Tahoe Getaways several times to ask for help but received no callback. A protocol should be put in place for such events. Thanks very much for your consideration.

Nice house with all the amenities and nice upgrades. Just a few things that caught our attention and suggestions: 1. The ability to get hot water is terrible, you have to run faucets for over 5 min. This is just not acceptable, especially in a serious drought year. We actually grabbed buckets at the store to collect water. In a newer house this shouldn't be the case. 2. The circuit breaker on the microwave was tripped a handful of times. No excessive load in the house so couldn't figure out why. 3. The sink plunger in the upstairs master bath does not work (right side) and the left side is just missing. This really should be fixed. My husband wears contacts and it's nice to have this there. 4. The interconnection of the fireplace and the main house thermostat is not great, especially when it gets cold. We have a gas fireplace in our home and it's on a separate thermostat. We also have one at our house in Deer Valley which is on a separate thermostat and it is so much better, especially when it gets really cold. 5. Lack of a closet in the master upstairs bedroom was odd. I'd install hooks on the wall behind the door. I would not want to put my ski clothes or other nice things in the bathroom which gets damp. 6. It would be nice to have a small gas firepit on the back deck. I'd also install some fun party lights off the back deck,it's very dark at night out there, especially when hot tubbing.

Another wonderful stay!

This is our second time returning to this wonderful property! We love the layout of this home, the awesome hot tub on the deck with snow play and sledding slopes outside, and the spacious bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms upstairs. Great customer service as well. They text you directly to make sure you have everything you need! You can tell that the owners take great pride and care in this home. We look forward to coming back!

Two Small for Six People

The house is well located and well furnished but is just too small for 4 adults, 2 children and a dog. The house is a lot smaller than pictured on the website. The photos show a spacious dining area that is actually very cramped up against the sofa so the bench wasn't used at all. The kitchen is open and functional except there is no pantry or food storage so the counters are completely covered. The sink in the queen bath needs to be cleaned out and the garbage disposal sounds like it has a screw loose.

Best snow retreat ever!

It's not easy to find a comfortable vacation house for a family of five and the dog, but this retreat had every amenity one could ask for, including an amazing hot tub right outside the back door. There is a hill for sledding in the backyard and easily accessible trails everywhere. It was easy to cook at home and there were great eats in town as well. So spacious, with plenty of room to play games and snuggle up by the fire. With slopes just a few minutes away, we have never felt so spoiled. We would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for the ultimate snow retreat.

Perfect mountain retreat with kids and dogs. Open space for snow play/off-leash dog play out the back door, close proximity to dog-friendly xc skiing at Royal Gorge and Tahoe Donner, and quick access to dog-friendly mellow ski touring in Sunrise Bowl. House is impeccably appointed yet dog proof. Wonderful family spot.

Already planning our next trip back!

Loved this home and Truckee! Everything was perfect from the contemporary accommodations throughout the home to the most beautiful backyard to be among the trees in. Clean and so cozy! Tahoe Getaways was so timely in their communications with us and everyone was so nice to work with! We will be back!

Fantastic property and stay!

Fantastic home in great neighborhood! Location perfect... just close enough to everything we wanted to do! Loved being able to return after busy day of outdoor activities to a place that felt entirely our own. Kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need to plan and prepare your own meals, and all appliances are spotlessly clean, modern and function perfectly. Very comfortable beds, everything immaculately clean and easy to use. Excellent wifi, innumerable entertainment options when winding down at the end of the day. Modern, immaculately clean and well functioning hot tub. Hot tub on back porch overlooks very private feeling large lot, a great place to supervise younger children whilst unwinding at the end of the day in style. No complaints, will definitely be returning in the future!

Spacious and Modern Tahoe Retreat

We absolutely loved staying here in early October! The home is located in a quiet neighborhood, but super close to all the shopping & dining in downtown Truckee. Great location! The home is very clean and well-appointed with everything you could need. We loved playing board games and watching movies in the open living room with the modern gas fireplace roaring (so convenient to flick a switch instead of building a fire)! Plenty of room to spread out too. I brought some work with me and enjoyed lounging on the comfy chaise in a cozy corner by the fire while I worked. Took numerous walks around the neighborhood and enjoyed the crisp air and beautiful trees. The home also felt very private. I would recommend staying here...we'll be back!

Needs better cleaning

The water in the hot tub was yellow. The lid to open it was extremely heavy and that was after the bar was fixed. The lid fills with water plus it is the winter lid. The home needed a good vacuuming and wipe down when we arrived. Dust bunnies crumbs and hair on the kitchen floor and trash cans with no liners put in and trash on floor behind trash can in bathroom. Spent the first 2 hours cleaning. The sheets had dog hair all over them as did the sofa and it was clear the duvet cover had not been washed. This was my 3rd year in a row staying here and it needs better cleaning especially during Covid. I loved this property so much because I saw minimal bugs and webs but this time was different. Webs all around the house and we couldn't even sit on chairs outside. We spent minimal time as possible in the cabin due to these reasons. I suggest stepping up the cleaning crew or have more than one person cleaning the cabin Becca corners are being cut.

Contemporary Donner

This is the second time we stayed here so obviously we enjoyed the location and the rental. Just wanted to say that the WiFi and television never really worked and we decided not to waste time trying to trouble shoot it. If changes are made it would be nice to connect to ones own Apple TV for instance. Thanks for a great retreat in Tahoe.

The Perfect Spot

When traveling with young kids and a dog it can be tough to find a place that lets you relax like home. This house was perfect! It was minimalist enough to keep curious hands and paws at bay. But also had all the essentials and a touch more (ie dog bed, dog toys, sleds, heaters, etc) We had plenty of snow when we were there! The property has a hill just behind the house that the kids could sled on and a walking trail as well for snowshoeing. Downtown is only 10 minutes away. The house was clean and did not smell. The bedrooms were quiet and the beds were very comfortable. We all slept well! We would love to stay here again!

beautiful home

This home was really wonderful on a very quiet flat street. It was clean and roomy. The only reason why I wouldn't give it a 5 star is that the amenities such as paper towels and foil wrap were not there. If I am on vacation for a weekend, I don't want to purchase those items when I have spent over $1,000 for two nights. Otherwise very nice home.
