Vi välkomnar dig "till barnen i Neptunus" i byn Arromanches och 30 meter från havet i ett lugnt och ljust hus. För din semester kan du njuta av havet vid dina fötter och närhet till affärer.

Vårt 100 m2 utrymme är designat för en familj på upp till 6 personer eller för flera par vuxna. Huset har 3 sovrum med eget badrum, inklusive en svit med en fantastisk utsikt över havet och den konstgjorda hamnen i Arromanches.

Vi har ägnat mycket uppmärksamhet åt detaljerna och stämningen i detta fritidshus: försiktig dekoration i nyanser av vitt och taupe, amerikansk mat, stort ljust vardagsrum, hemmabio, stereo, söderläge gård med grill, ... och lite mer tänkt av ägaren.

Adorable home!

Adorable home! Well stocked except no laundry detergent- a small but necessary convenience i believe the host should supply especially when the town is barely open to find it ourselves. Natalie originally told us we could check out early afternoon but sent us a message at 10pm the night before removing the late check out. We were lucky enough to get the message before we went to sleep but it was very inconvenient timing.

Great location

Perfect location for visiting the Normandie coast sites. Beach is visible - mere steps away shops and museums walkable. Quiet neighborhood (at least in the off season). Comfortable beds. I would not describe as luxury but the price per night is fair for the condition of the accommodations. Would stay again.

joli gite tres bien équipé. proche des plages du debarquement.. cet endroit est tres cocoon on s y sent très bien et spacieux. vraiment j'ai passé un bel anniversaire dans un endroit tres dympathique avec mes grands enfants et le plus le petit feu de bois.

Cold rainy and beautiful

Great location, wonderful loved home. Hostess was thoughtful. Just a few ideas…. we went in January the whole town was closed. So if you go that time of year in the off season make sure you have car. Bayuex is a 20 minute drive.

November at the Beach

The town was a ghost town with a majority of the commerce and many homes shut for the season. But that meant no lines at the few places that were open. Our visit’s focus was the D Day history and we found those areas open and welcoming.

We originally had a hard time finding the place but host was gracious and kind and helped us. We went in November and lots of things were closed nearby but it is a fabulous property.

Ideally located close to Gold Beach and in the center of the D-Day landing beaches and battle sites that need to be visited. Was very good value for money but the toilets/bathroom locations were a little challenging. Overall a great place to stay.

The Room with a View

Sp happy we stayed here for our visit to the beaches of Normandy. We only stayed a few nights but could easily have spent a week here. This place is huge and could accommodate way more than just the 3 of us. Plenty of bathrooms and full washer and dryer on-site. Parking for us was not a problem. Location was right in the heart of Gold Beach with an amazing view of the ruins of Mulberry B. You are so close to the beach you can hear the waves crashing. This makes for great sleeping if you like that. Communication with the host was efficient even though we never met her in person. The special gift she left was a very nice touch and much appreciated. We are already planning our next trip with friends.

A welcoming lovely town and great apartment.

Our communication with the property manager was excellent, she made sure that we had all the information needed in advance and responded to any questions immediately. The property was in a great location for seeing the d- day sights.

Parfait !

Zauberhafte Lokation

Die Bilder geben das wieder, was einen erwartet und das war toll. Wir waren mit 4 Erwachsenen um die Mitte 50 herum für 9 Tage hier im Urlaub. Zwischen einem Souvenirshop und einem Lokal gelangt man über einen kleinen Eingang auf den Innenhof. Dieser ist teils überdacht und wir haben dort jeden Tag Frühstück und teilweise auch Abendessen genossen. Die Einrichtung der Zimmer entspricht den Bildern und hat uns sehr angesprochen. Bäder und Toiletten sind voneinander getrennt. Jedes Schlafzimmer hat ein Bad. Im ersten Stock und in der Hochparterre sind jeweils die WC's. Die Küche hat alle erforderlichen Gerätschaften. Besteck und Geschirr haben wir vor dem Gebrauch einmal in den Geschirrspüler gegeben. Vieles war belegt. Wir haben das auf das doch raue Klima zurückgeführt. Das Haus ist komplett unterkellert, wobei die Kellerräume lediglich von dem Innenhof aus 3-4 Stufen nach unten gehen. Hier finden sich Kajaks und Fahrräder als auch Waschmaschine und Trockner. Die Keller sind alle feucht und riechen auch nach Keller was dem Umstand geschuldet ist, dass das Haus eine so tolle Nähe zum Strand hat, der keine 40 Meter entfernt ist. Der Kellergeruch ist uns auch beim Öffnen des Hauses aufgefallen, war jedoch nach einem anständigen Durchlüften nahezu weg. Gelegentlicher vorhandener Kellergeruch im Haus hat uns nicht gestört. Die Lage ist einfach genial. 40 Meter zum Strand heißt natürlich, dass wir jeden Tag hier Baden waren. Der Strand ist bei Ebbe sicherlich über 300 Meter trocken gefallen, vielfach auch mehr und bietet dann Platz für ausgiebige Spaziergänge. Ausflüge in die Umgebung kann man jeden Tag woanders hin machen. Kultur und Geschichte sind allgegenwärtig - besonders empfehlenswert ist dabei Bayeux. Genauso kann man auch "nur" einen Strandtag verleben. Der Bäcker ist keine 100 Meter entfernt und hat leckere Backwaren. Der Supermarkt mit allem Nötigen findet sich gut 300 Meter entfernt, wer mehr braucht, fährt nach Bayeux. Kostenfrei Parken kann man auf einem Parkplatz im westlichen Teil der Rue des Frères Victor, knapp 5 min zu Fuß von dem Haus. Der Kontakt zur Vermieterin Nathalie hat sich als offen und unterstützend gezeigt. Vielen Dank dafür. Fazit: Tolles Ferienhaus mit einer tollen Lage. Gerne wieder

Mooi, compleet verblijf midden in Arromanches op 30m afstand van Gold Beach.

We hebben heel erg genoten van deze complete vakantiewoning. Het ontbrak ons aan niets. De ligging kan niet beter, in het centrum van Arromanches, 30 m van Gold Beach aan de kunstmatige invasie haven aangelegd door de geallieerden. Verder heel centraal om alle andere invasiestranden met bijbehorende musea te bezoeken. Kortom deze sfeervolle vakantiewoning is zeker een aanrader!

Perfect locatio

Very good communication before the holiday. Easy to find once details sent and the house could not be in a better location for a family holiday on a fantastic and safe sandy beach just 30 metres from the home and superb for exploring D Day sites on both sides of Arromanches. Also nearby are Bayeux, Caen and Honfleur. 45 minutes by car to Caen (Ouisterham) ferry terminal and 75 minutes to Cherbourg. We went out via Caen and returned via Cherbourg to/from Portsmouth on excellent Britanny Ferries. The house comes with everything imaginable for families. 2 twin rooms and one double which has 2 cots as well. PlUS a great view out to the Mulberry piers and spectacular sunsets and sun rises. We found French prices to be very reasonable and the cost of living is much lower than UK in supermarkets, tourist attractions and fuel. Countryside and villages are timeless and very attractive and driving extremely easy and sensible. No speeding and very empty roads. All in all, we were delighted with the entire holiday and would recommend this accommodation without reservation for families and adults but perhaps with one proviso! There are three sets of very steep narrow stairs- one from garden entrance to living room and kitchen and a second from living area to the two twin rooms, both sets of which everyone has to use. The third flight is tricky with a sharp corner to reach the double room on top floor which of course is optional. Not a problem at all for normally fit people and well worth the effort to reach the top floor but just be aware of the existence of these three sets of stairs. Enjoy!! We did and hope you will. Lovely place to stay and in heart of Arromanches for shops, cafes and restaurants.

D-day beaches.

Despite a shaky start we enjoyed our D-Day beaches holiday. We arrived to find the cleaner half way through preparing the property for our arrival. She wasn’t expecting us until the following day. This was a matter of poor communication between her and the host, but once this had been relayed to Nathalie (the host) the problem was resolved quickly. We feel we were mislead by the listing on the VRBO website as the property was advertised as having 3 bathrooms. This is not entirely correct as none of the bathrooms included a toilet. Essential when there are 3 couples sharing a property! There were 2 toilets in the property, one on the middle floor and another oddly off the kitchen. Had this been clear on the VRBO website we would not have considered booking. A floor plan of all properties on this site should be compulsory. We were disappointed in the general condition of the house. We found the approach to the house to be difficult to find and unattractive with a refuse bin that was full in the doorway. It would be beneficial to give detailed directions and maybe a map from the main road as you cannot get a vehicle into the actual road where the property is situated as there is a no entry sign. It was tired and felt grubby and there was a dreadful smell of drains. It would benefit from a deep clean and a general tidy up in the courtyard which felt neglected and unloved. Cleaning products in the kitchen should also be supplied. The dishwasher tablets were rationed to approximately 6 and there was nothing to clean work surfaces with. We have stayed in other properties where basic cleaning products are available and if it is to be kept at a decent standard these are essential. It should also be pointed out that parking can be difficult at peak times. From June to September there are restrictions in the road around the corner only allowing parking for 1 hour 30 minutes. There are public car parks but they come at a very high cost.
