Beautiful view and perfect location

Perfect location for us to stay between my daughter in Holland and daughter in Grand Rapids and attending a wedding in Allegan. The view was grand and minutes to the beach and downtown Saugatuck. Very spacious. We will definitely stay again.

Saugatuck House

Enjoyed our stay - property was spacious - lots of seating and big bedrooms. Great location close to chain ferry, oval beach, and mt. baldheaded. Lots of steps but didn't bother us. Would stay here again for sure.

25th annual sisters trip

First… we fell in love with Saugatuck! The location of Denise’s house was very convenient (wish the ferry stayed open past Labor Day but we had no problem without it!) The house was perfect for us! Very clean and well stocked. Plenty of seating and bedrooms very comfortable! Thank you Denise

Great for family, very comfortable

Was in town for a wedding, stayed here with family including 7 adults and 2 toddlers. It fit us all well. Well stocked kitchen and everything comfortable. Would stay again. Accommodating owner was easy to work with.

Saugatuck girls trip

Good location, very clean and roomy. Very comfortable beds. The home is well equipped. The bathrooms are a bit outdated and could use privacy doors within the bathrooms. Denise was responsive and gave good recommendations. Overall a great location and a very good place to stay.

Great location and view!

It was really nice waking up to a picturesque view of the Kalamazoo River just steps from the Mt Baldy Steps and the Saugatuck Chain Ferry so we could visit the historic district and all the cute shops and restaurants without having to drive. Spacious house with great amenities!

Tulip festival

Great visit for tulip festival. Property was clean and well appointed. Enjoyed the deck and views of river. Plenty of room for 6 adults. Close to oval beach too. Property owner was very helpful and responsive.

Great Place on the Active Side of Kalamazoo River

A great place for our Family of 5! A short drive away from Oval Beach, and walking distance to Mt Baldhead and the chain ferry made this an ideal location. Inside, we found a fully stocked kitchen and plenty of room to lounge in the comfy living room as well as a large dining area. The balcony is the signature spot to enjoy a cup of coffee or a meal and take in the great views of Lake Kalamazoo. The deco is modern and fun. There were plenty of towels as well as bathroom products. The 4 beds were comfy with nice linens and pillows. Outside is a Weber grill in working order and a large fire pit-- a nice touch with included firewood. The only wrinkle was a goofy parking set up in front, which was easier to pull into and a challenge to pull out due to a blind curve on Park.

Nice top floor of a house, great neighbor renters. Watched 4th of fireworks from the front patio. Family lives in Saugatuck so very convenient. The chain ferry was a fun way to get to town.

I would highly recommend this place, especially if you have a larger group. We have 12 girls and rented the studio for extra space. The view was great, the host was very responsive, and the beds were SO comfy!! We will be back.

Great place with great space

Very nice home with great space to spread out and gather comfortably. It was equipped with everything we needed and was conveniently located. Denise was easy to get a hold of and quick to respond. The only complaint we had was that the water heater didnt seem to have the capacity for everyone to get a warm shower after a day at the beach. Would stay here again.

Great get-away spot for family!

We had a great time in Saugatuck as always. This home is just drive into Saugatuck or Douglas. It has a beautiful view of the lake. The inside is very nice and has great accommodations. The pictures made it seem like it was two level and had a patio with couch and fire pit BUT you only get that if you rent out the studio also I guess so you only get one balcony area to sit which is fine but felt like close quarters with another group right below us.

Relaxing stay in Saugatuck

The 4bedrooms are so spacious and the living areas (living room, dining, kitchen) are so inviting to hang out with family and friends together. While I've stayed at many rentals, I was impressed by the small touches available here - enough paper towels, detergent, TVs in the rooms, smart thermostat, fully stocked cooking supplies in the kitchen, etc. We could easily have just brought ourselves and clothes and been set! Also, we spent a lot of time on the deck, which had a view of the river. Those made for some relaxing mornings and sunset evenings. The owner was also very easy to reach and communicate with. Five stars all around!

Weekend Wedding

Had a great stay at this spacious and well equipped Saugatuck home. Located two minutes from the chain ferry to go into Saugatuck with a great patio view of the Kzoo River and the endless boat traffic. We grilled one night and was pleasantly surprised that the grill was clean and had a plenty of gas in the tank (both a rarity at VRBO). The kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed (plates, silverware, pans, spices, etc…) Temps hit 90 degrees and the A/C worked great. Communication with Denise was outstanding. This property is a no brainer to book with either a larger family or group of friends.

Lovely home

The house was in a great location with a beautiful view of the river. The kitchen was well stocked but the wine fridge and Kuerig didn’t work. The furniture was comfortable. The only complaint would be that there weren’t full sets of good towels. Other than that it was a good place for our family vacation!

The property was in a great location with access to the beach and local shops and restaurants. There was a small issue with cleanliness. Some dishes in the cabinets were dirty. Also there was not enough toilet paper provided. Last thing: not sure why we had to clean towels and sheets when we paid for a cleaning service . Overall, we had a very nice time.

Misleading Description of property

The house is listed as beautifully remodeled, well-kept property and very clean. This is an absolutely misleading description - the only remodeled area is perhaps the spacious living room. Bathrooms were old with old style shower faucets (I can provide pictures). The house was not clean; sticky spots were all over the countertop, dishwasher and dining room table (pictures are available). In addition, there was a water leak from the ceiling of the living room that ended up filling a whole bucket over the night. The owner was responsive and offered to reimburse us for the $250 cleaning cost, but what about the inconvenience? Overall the house was functional, but the price was too high for what it has to offer. We used VRBO in the past and the house descriptions were usually accurate and reliable. This one was misleading. We are very disappointed! Not sure we will use VRBO in the future! We expect some compensation for the disillusion and the inconvenience we experienced.

This is a multiple unit home

This trip was a group of friends that live all over the country and we could all be in one place to celebrate the 4th of July. It worked for what we needed and the host was very sweet and responsive. The location is fantastic and the view was very nice. However, a couple of key things need to be pointed out. First, the description does say that you can add on a studio and a one bedroom. This particular listing only includes the upstairs, not the whole house like in the listing picture. It was a bit confusing to me. Secondly, There was only 1 bath towel per person and no spare towels at all. There was no detergent to clean them in the event of getting dirty, or to start the washer at checkout. They also had names of hotels on the tags. Lastly, the privacy in the bathrooms. Two of the bathrooms require you to go into a bedroom. The third is similar has a sliding door blocking off the bedroom. But I don't think it locked. The master bedroom bathroom door had glass so you can see right in, as does the study. To me, not an ideal setup for 8 or 9 people.
