Need full disclosure

Let me just say the owners were very nice and quick to answer any questions- came out when we had door issues. The property is very run down in general and construction had all but one elevator down.

Old furniture and fixtures. Furniture needs to be replaced, as it is worn and stained. Need to clean under furniture... couch under was nasty. Picture misleading... thought it was ocean view. For short stay it will do as it was economical. I loved orange beach itself. .

Right On The Beach

Very short walk from the room to the beach. 3 pools. Short drive to restaurants, shopping and the State Park Pier. Room was clean and comfortable.

Not really up to standards

Sugar Beach itself is outstanding. It's our favorite place to stay in OBA. I've stayed in several different units here; this is my least favorite. The unit was dirty, specifically the twin bed room and the smaller bathroom. There was a used vape and candy wrappers under the twin beds. The smaller bathroom shower was gross. I cleaned myself instead of reaching out to the property manager. I asked her a question prior to our arrival (no response other than the automated response set to be sent). I feel like it's probably a fluke but that was our experience.

Incorrect listing on sleeping 6

SHOULD NOT BE advertised as sleeping 6 the fold out couch mattress needs replaced, it is not even an option to sleep on. It’s a mat that has springs coming through. We had to go out and buy an air mattress that we slept on the whole week . Closet door was not on the hinders and about fell on my year old grandson, shower in master bathroom is so incredibly small if your over 5 foot and 100 lbs you can’t turn around in it . Floor was dirty , filter in furnace looks like it had not been changed in many months .

Alabama vacation

The location was great, with an easy access to the beach. Very nice to have a washer dryer in the unit. The back bathroom has a very tiny shower, difficult for grown man.

Vacation visiting friends

Overall very good place and location. Only steps from the beach. Had a couple issues with condo owner responded quickly to take care if. Security guards also very accommodating. Only complaint is condo needs some improvements. Example: *Sliding door and screen very difficult to open *Master bedroom bath shower door needs to be replaced water goes all over floor *Main bathroom toilet does not flush properly *Also looks like black mold around showers *Vents should be cleaned might avoid the floors from getting wet went using dryer Even with these issues I would definitely stay again, this is my second time at Sugar Beach

Great location but needs remodel

This was an awesome location and communication with property manager was great - let us in early but was very disappointed when actually saw inside. The tub had mold/mildew and so did the very small shower in main bedroom. Shower curtain needs replacing and fan in smaller bedroom did not work. However, air conditioning worked great and water was hot. Just needs a remodel to update everything.

Awesome location steps from beach

We had a great time here, however we had plumbing issues with both toilets not flushing until several attempts the entire stay. We didn't bother reaching out to owners because we were busy enjoying the beach and pools downstairs and just made best of it. We attempted to use sofa sleeper and instantly canceled idea, it was terrible and could only feel springs so maybe should be replaced or just not advertised at all. The queen mattress was okay but very hard and a little uncomfortable. Also was hard to sleep in because its so bright in morning with type of window coverings on sliding door. Despite these few things we still had a great trip. This unit is very conveniently located with close parking and a quick trip up 1 flight of steps.

A little miss leading

Room was nice but facility was gross. Parking was very bad but we were there during 4th of July and it was busy. I would suggest bringing towels. There are not mere enough and the ones there are stained and worn out. The fan in the second bedroom didn’t work. The facility is very loud at night. It also doesn’t have curtains on sliding doors in bedroom. It lets in light and not very private. That being said the condo itself was clean when we got it. It’s pretty basic but still nice. In my opinion it’s a little overpriced.

Close access to the beach

Loved having one flight of stairs to go up and was very close to beach and pool. Condo could use some updating, but we would stay there again.

Great Getaway!

The property is just as described, conveniently located on the beach side of the Highway. Sugar Beach condos are great-smaller property and well-maintained with super friendly staff. The unit is also clean, well-maintained and affordable-perfect for our family of 4 to spend our vacation! The owner was communicative , friendly and answered all of our questions. Definitely recommend and would stay here again!

First property was not cleaned and caught on fire. We had to relocate.

Property was not ready for occupancy. Then caught on fire! We had to relocate. We were promised credits for our inconvenience. That was over a month ago and we received nothing that we were promised. We spent the bulk of Friday night moving from one condo to the next. Promised were made and not kept. Very dissappointed...We are in our 70's!!!
