Wiseman Cottage är ett 2 våningar, 4 sovrum hus byggt 1930 och totalrenoverat under de senaste fyra åren. Det är den fjärde semesterbostaden i Fayetteville som ägs och förvaltas av Bill och Sally Wells under Mountain Vacation Properties Banner. Wiseman Avenue, där huset ligger namngavs efter Doc Wisemans far. Huset har många vackra arkitektoniska funktioner som trägolv, inbyggda skåp och fasade glasdörrar. De senaste renoveringarna inkluderade komplett ombyggnad av köket och badrummen. Huset rymmer upp till 11 personer. Sovrum nr 1 ligger på bottenvåningen och innehåller en fullstor säng och en dubbelsäng. De återstående sovrummen ligger på andra våningen. Sovrum # 2 har en full storlek säng. Sovrum nr 3 har två enkelsängar och sovrum # 4 har en queen size-säng och ett master bad. Det andra badrummet ligger också på andra våningen. Det finns ett halvt badrum på första våningen. Bakgården är inhägnad och huset är husdjursvänligt. Parkering finns i uppfarten för upp till 6 fordon. Ingen parkering är tillåten på gatan. Huset direkt bakom Wiseman Cottage är en av våra andra semesterbostäder (The McGrath House # 707475). Om du har en större grupp kan du hyra båda husen. McGrath House är ett hus med 4 sovrum och rymmer upp till 12. Wiseman Cottage ligger 1. 5 kvarter från centrum av Fayetteville centrum och ligger nära parker, shopping, restauranger och vandrings- / cykelleder. Fayetteville Elementary School ligger direkt tvärs över gatan och har en stor lekplats och en fotbollsplan. De flesta av Fayettevilles unika butiker och restauranger ligger inom gångavstånd (1 till 3 kvarter). Den nya Fayetteville Recreation Trail passerar direkt framför huset och tar dig till den 200 tunnland stora Gaines-fastigheten i en riktning eller till New River Gorge Town Park Trailhead i den andra riktningen. Gaines-fastigheten ägs av vårt systerföretag, Cascade Properties, och gästerna på Wiseman Cottage är gratis att vandra / cykla på fastigheten. Town Park Trailhead ger dig tillgång till miles av spår inom och utanför parken. New River Gorge Bridge och Bridge Walk-attraktionen ligger bara 1 km bort och alla utomhusäventyrsutrustning ligger inom 4-7 miles. Wiseman Cottage och de andra husen i Mountain Vacation Properties-familjen erbjuder den bästa kombinationen av lyxigt boende, utmärkt läge och prisvärdhet i New River Gorge Region.

This was a great place to stay for my family's week-long summer vacation exploring the New River Gorge. Our group (7 adults and one dog) fit in the house comfortably. We loved the backyard and the easy walk into downtown Fayetteville. We'd definitely stay here again!

Great House in a great location

The house was sparkling clean and just as described. The backyard was huge, fenced and great for kids and adults. We loved the evenings on the patio. The house was located on a quiet street, but only a couple blocks to a great bakeries, coffee shops and restaurants. The area was filled with hikes and adventures. Fun for All!

Beautiful, comfortable house in the cool town of Fayetteville

The house is easy to find, pretty inside and out. Very comfortable to hang out in, great kitchen for cooking. Amazing back yard for our pup. Only a couple block walk to shops and restaurants and a short drive to the Canyon Rim Visitor Center. The owner was very responsive. Overall an excellent experience and stay.

This house was very clean and well appointed. The owner was very accommodating and gave us everything we needed regarding information about the area. The kitchen and supplies were all well stocked. The house was easy to find and is close to everything in downtown Fayetteville. It was an easy check in and check out process. We were very happy with our stay.

Absolutely Lovely

Do yourself a favor and book this house. It’s spacious, beautifully decorated and comfortable for a big group. The kitchen is well stocked but if you don’t want to cook there are several restaurants within walking distance. It’s a short drive to rafting outfits and other outdoor activities. The owners are absolutely fantastic and stopped by to drop off some delicious freshly baked poppy seed bread. Plenty of hot water for showers, comfortable beds and soft towels. We’re hoping to return next year to raft the Gaulley and will absolutely be back!

Absolutely a wonderful stay

The house was very comfortable, beatuiful, spacious and roomie. We were able to check in a little earlier than expected without any issues. Our fary children enjoyed the fenced in yard. Our kids enjoyed walking into down town, which is lovely and quaint. The house was close to everywhere we wanted to visit, not to mention blocks away from Biscuit World. This was my first trip to West Virginia and am very glad I found this home to stay in. I highly recommend this property. The entire family enjoyed the stay. House was fully ready for our family, including our cookout. The favorite part was the AMAZING Poopy seed bread that welcomed us. AMAZING!!!

Wonderful Stay!

We enjoyed our stay in Fayetteville. The home was spacious for our group of 7 including a large fenced in yard which our dog loved. We were walking distance to all the shops and restaurants in the downtown area and a short drive to New River Gorge National Park. William was a friendly and helpful host. I would recommend this property to anyone visiting the area.

Sisters Weekend

We have been coming to Fayetteville off and on since 2007 for our sisters weekends. We absolutely fell in love with the Wiseman House and plan to come back here every year. There are 6 of us, and it’s been hard to find something in our price range where we can all have a bed!! And it’s really centrally located too! Can’t wait to return next year.

Girls Run Trip

We stayed at the Wiseman Cottage for the 50km New River Gorge Trail festival race, and it was the perfect place! Super close to the start/finish in Fayetteville Park and close to plenty of restaurants as well. Everything was very clean and well kept!

Cleanest property we've ever stayed in!

Great property: super clean and perfect location! This house doesn't look too fancy from the outside but Don't be fooled! It's lovely inside and the back yard...it's amazing! It's beautiful, relaxing, and great for an evening cook out. Host pays attention to details, for example, provides dog bowls for dog food & water. There are towels to wipe a wet dog off, etc. Yard is fully enclosed & HUGE. There's a dog park right across the street and, again, it doesn't look like much but you'll meet the friendliest people! Great little town for seeing the National Park, rafting, and enjoying some good food. Highly recommend. Thanks Bill for sharing your property with us! We had a great time!

My wife Sally grew up in Fayetteville. I (Bill) am from Pittsburgh and got here as soon as I could. I am a mining engineer and recently semi-retired where I work 2 days per week. Sally spends much of her time looking after our vacation rental properties. We started out in the vacation rental business in 2013 when we bought and renovated Sally's parents home where she grew up. We love Fayetteville and the surrounding area and we enjoy many of the outdoor recreation opportunities here like hiking, rafting, biking and cross country skiing. I am also the President of the New River Gorge Trail Alliance, a 501C3 non profit organization that is dedicated to creating a long distance trail network in the six counties surrounding the New River Gorge.

Varför värden valde detta boende

The Wiseman Cottage is located in a great neighborhood in downtown Fayetteville. It has beautiful architectural features and was well built, well maintained and recently renovated. Sally knew the Wisemans and always loved the house. It is located directly behind one of our other vacation rental properties, the McGrath House (#707475), and groups with up to 23 people can reserve both properties. Fayetteville has many unique restaurants, bars and shops and this house is within easy walking distance (1 to 3 blocks) to most of them. It is also close to the local trails, playgrounds, town parks and the New River Gorge National Park. The New River Gorge Trail Alliance regional trail network passes directly in front of the house. The former Fayetteville Elementary School dog park and football field are directly across the street. The 200 acre Gaines Property is a two minute walk from the house and the New River Gorge Town Park trailhead is only 1/2 mile away. The New River Gorge Bridge itself is 1.5 miles from the house and all of the outdoor adventure outfitters are located between 4 and 7 miles away.
