Problems with the door key

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Good experience regarding the facilities but with a lack of support during a serious problem. We stayed for2 hours during the night trying to enter in the apartment without a support in the resort, and without a solution from the online support. We were able to enter in the apartment only jumping from our neighboor which helped us after seeing 6 people standing for 2 hours during the night in front of the apartmenr. We only received a new code in the morning without explanations about the cause of the problem. Wer slept for only 5 hours and we were forcedto leave at 10 AM without any considerations abourt he problem we were faced.

Baseball tournament trip

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: There was water damage in the living room in two corners of the room. There was unfinished repair of water damage in the guest bathroom on the shower . There were several rusty vent covers in the guest bathroom. The master bed was very comfortable. There weren’t any hand towels in the vacation rental and it was missing bedding for the pull out couch, but we spoke with the property manager and she made sure that we had hand towels and bedding.

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Over all my visit was... unsatisfactory .Normal nuances such as showers with low water pressure, stains on upholstery, and damaged appliances. The biggest issue was checking out. The room passcode changed 15 min before checkout and a random staff member came in the room and took photos of the unused bed. Proceeded to walk around the room describing issues with the cleaning staff and taking photos. All while my wife and I are attempting to grab our last few things before checkout.Over all unsatisfactory.

The owners need to throw out the couch and replace. Unit needs a major update. We’ll be back but not in this unit.

Deep Cleaning

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The room we stayed in needs a deep cleaning. The curtains in the LR were very dirty. The tracks of the sliding door were black with dirt and the door was extremely hard to slide open/close. The furniture had stains on it. The master bath’s shower curtain liner was dirty and moldy. The 2nd bathroom shower was dirty as well. Even though we were careful to not leave food out, I still saw a few bugs in the kitchen through the week. The lazy river/pool area had people’s beer can thrown down along the side, which stayed there several days so the maintenance crew doesn’t seem to be cleaning the whole area. There needs to be someone skimming the lazy river because there was so much debris from the trees/plants that when I took off my swimsuit in my room it made a mess on the floor. I do not think that the amount we paid for the room was worth it. I will not be paying to stay here again. (As a side note, I do not agree with the armband policy. If I want to have someone come visit me for the day and swim, go to the beach, etc. I should be able to do so without having to scramble for extra armbands.)

Room unacceptable

Room smelled like mold, sofa bed was broken, and electrical sockets were broke in many places. And they had to come fix dishwasher. Everything in this room was cheap as possible. Many other condos on this property where done well however this one is horrible

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Staff at Destin West were awesome. Our condo was clean and very well stocked. Only issue is the living room furniture. Hide a bed was broken and we had to stack pillows and comforters in it to be able to sit on it so we didnt sink to the floor. Otherwise our stay was very enjoyable.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit needs some maintenance work. The toilet runs, the air filter had not been changed in months it was so dirty you couldn’t see the filter. The front door on the inside has metal stripping coming off and the sliding door to the balcony is so hard to shut that sometimes you can’t close it all the way. I would not recommend this unit to anyone. I’ve stayed in several units at Destin West and I have never had any issues.

Condo unit needs repairs!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love Destin West and have stayed at these condos before. This condo unit sandpiper 405 is in a great location, unfortunately it had many issues! The dryer was broken and did not dry clothes. The sofa bed was broken and springs missing. My daughter fell through the bed the first night. The ice maker in the freezer did not work. Decor was old and dusty. Shower curtain was old and moldy. The bathtub did not drain well. I could go on and on. The management company was nice and understanding of the dryer situation and brought us fresh bath towels to use since we could not wash and dry them every night. We were there for a softball tournament so I was planning to wash and dry uniforms and sweaty clothes every night. The management company did offer some compensation for the inconvenience. I would not have booked this condo unit had I known these issues before our stay!

Nice place but over priced.

It had a 1992 coffee pot, that had had a 1985 lid on the pot ( didn't fit). Patio furniture was worn out and cheap. The pullout sofa mattress was ****. Was like sleeping on a worn out shoe. Falling through the frame. Was not worth the price i paid. Maybe $2000 for a week.

Great location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, our stay was nice. The kids loved the lazy river, the pool, and swimming and searching for hermit crabs on the bay side. The location was convenient for us because we were there for a week for my son’s World Series tournament in Destin. We saved some money by packing some food to cook. The stove and oven worked great. It heated up quickly. The dishes and cups were not that clean but I ran it through the dish washer. There were dishwasher powder left for us. The washer and dryer was very loud. It sounded like a lawn mower next to my ear. So if you need to do laundry, don’t do it at night when you’re sleeping. We didn’t get any laundry detergent or any extra trash bags. Thankfully I brought my own. The couch had stains on it and when we sat down, it sunk like the springs were broken. The whole unit could use some deep cleaning. The walls were dirty. The side of the fridge was dirty. The decorated palm trees were dusty, I think all those decorations are not necessary. It just seemed cluttered. Our view from the balcony was great! We were facing the lazy pool and we could see part of the bay. There were many thunderstorms that came through in the evening and I was able to record lightening strikes from the balcony. I would not mind staying at the same unit if they would put a little more effort into cleaning.

The unit is not as clean and well kept as say 4-5 years ago. The unit was fairly clean but in need to some TLC (eg. Paint, carpet) and some of the dishes were dirty in the cabinets.

The room was horrible it was not only not clean but sofa and chairs were soiled and the room smelle

The room was dirty and smelled like urine the sofa and chairs were soiled. We did get back the cleaning fees but we were still charged for the night and moved the next day. I think we should receive a refund for the first night as were we unable to sleep in the room and could.not find another place to stay that night. The second room was much better but there was a cleaning issue there so my wife asked for new sheets and towels and she changed out everything to make it comfortable for are stay.

It was a great vacation. Fun for the whole family. Kids and adults can both enjoy this retreat! 6 pools and 5 min walk to the beach. Can’t beat it!

Last minute get away

Property and resort very nice. Much to offer. Unable to enjoy to the fullest due to weather so plan to return. Didn’t complete online registration due to short timeline before departure and think it would be helpful to do next time. Front desk clerk was rude. Overall very good experience!
