Excellent with one suggested improvement

Suggestion: Provide instructions for using TV. Service is by TCL which does not appear to have the usual streaming services or major networks. We called the host for assistance, as wanted to watch NHL hockey play-offs but did not receive a call back.

Spacious

Location is good; enjoyed our stay. Ad is a little misleading ... it gives a price for the unit and says it sleeps 8, but doesn't tell you it charges extra for if you do have eight people. With a few inexpensive upgrades, this would make the property even more attractive, e.g. property can host eight, but dining table only has four chairs. Dishes in kitchen are plastic?/corelle? and mismatched and there are not eight of anything, i.e. wine glasses, water glasses, bowls, etc. Wouldn't cost much to add matching dishes (set of eight) and cutlery for eight. Appreciated that host provided coffee, sugar, etc. and lots of towels, toilet paper, etc. Comfortable beds and nice linens. Small repairs could be made, e.g. wall lamp in one of the bedrooms was not attached and came loose when we attempted to turn it on. All in all, enjoyed our stay, but the property could be made much more appealing with a few minor upgrades.

Conveniently located close to waterfront.

Property is easy to access and located within a very short walk of the waterfront. The backyard was a nice place to relax and cool down on a very humid evening. The unit was well equipped and the beds very comfortable. It is located very close to a street and could get quite noisy on a busy evening.

Great stay

Had a great experience in shawns property. Staying here while working in the area. All the amenities we needed were in the property. Nice kitchen for cooking suppers and making lunches for work. Will return when working in the area. Shawn was great at communicating and to see if there was anything we needed!

lovely location

We stayed in Sept 2019, no problems with anything, the town is lovely especially the waterfront which is yards away. Charlottes restaurant is superb ( Booking Advised ) Boxing Rock brewery is new and great. My only surprise was nothing to do with house but how early the bars, and restaurants close, could be because it was a little late in the year. Sadly a hurricane hit and really messed up the town but its nice to see how quickly the local works clean up.

Great home in a perfect location!

We really enjoyed this charming house - in the perfect spot to walk to stores, restaurants, coffee shops, historic sites and the water! Shawn is a great host! We couldn’t have asked for a better start to our travels in Nova Scotia!
