Vår familj har varit i Pentwater i över 100 år, och vi renoverar detta historiska hem mitt i hjärtat av Pentwater med familjer och speciella behov i åtanke. Allt har renoverats med sikte på modern funktionalitet och historisk charm. När det gäller plats är det ett 1/2 kvarter från centrum och en lätt promenad till stranden (eller ta tillbaka vägen upp i sanddynerna till Mt Baldy). Dess stora bakslag säkerställer lugn och ro även om den ligger i hjärtat av byn.

Det finns gott om parkering utanför gatan förutom parkering på gatan. Verandaen är platsen för att fånga morgonsolen med ditt kaffe. Bakdäcken är enorm med utrymme för alla för privata kvällar utomhus. Bakgården har eldstaden för s'mores på natten samt en extra uteplats. Sidgården har en badminton / boccie bollplan.

När det gäller inredningen har huset SIX sovrum (alla överensstämmer - inga ombyggda garderober), så det finns plats för flera generationer - två ned och fyra upp. Det finns också några utdragbara soffor om det finns fler stora barn än du kan räkna. Det finns också ett badrum på varje nivå.

Vi har renoverat huset med morföräldrar och alla med särskilda behov i åtanke. Hela första våningen är helt ADA-kompatibel - uppfyller alla kommersiella kodkrav. En ramp leder från handikappparkeringen i baksidan till däck. Övergången från däck till hus är nästan sömlös. Det finns inga golvhöjdskillnader på hela första våningen (två sovrum). Sovrummen har breda dörrar, och sovrummet har eget badrum. Badrummet har en 5'x5 "helkaklat inbyggt duschområde. Köket har utformats med rullstolar i åtanke: rulla under spis, rulla diskbänken, väggskåpet, rullstols-vänliga sittplatser och ADA-kompatibla apparater i hela. Även picknickbordet på däck är byggt för rullstolsaccess.

Bottenvåningen är en öppen planlösning, med kök, matsal och vardagsrum som strömmar in i varandra och direkt ut på bakdäcket genom de franska dörrarna. 65 "TV ger gott om visning för alla, och en andra TV i övervåningen vardagsrummet är perfekt för att sekvestrera barnen.

Great beach town vacation

This home was just what was needed for our family of 6 adults and two young children; and two dogs. Enough space for us to all be together both inside and on the lovely back deck. The home was warm and welcoming with games available, kitchen with everything we needed, and very comfortable beds. The best time together!

Annual Summer Trip

We have been coming to Pentwater for years and this has been by far our favorite house that we have rented. The location is perfect for walking to the beach and downtown. The house has a fenced in yard, which is awesome to have for the dogs (especially since most of the rentals don’t allow dogs). There are lots of beds and did not feel overcrowded at all. The house also has a second fridge, which was great to have with our large group. Definitely recommend staying here. We cannot wait to come back next summer!!

Great house!

We needed a house with several bedrooms plus a fenced yard for the dogs. This house got the bill. It’s been updated and if you are wheel chair bound, this house accomodates. It’s a block from downtown Pentwater and 4 blocks from Lake Michigan and a beautiful beach. Our teens loved the town- there are lots of shops and restaurants. Fun things to do within a 20 minute drive I.e. horse back riding, go carts, mini golf and fine buggies. Farmers market is twice a week. Great family area!!

Pentwater Vacation 2023

Don’t think it had been occupied for a while. Grill was quite dirty. No garbage bags or extra toilet paper. Location was nice. Lots of plates, silverware, cups and glasses. Not many sharp knives or serving bowls for a house that large. We were a little disappointed for what we paid.

Close to town and Beach!

Perfect location! Less than a block to cute downtown Pentwater, and an easy walk to the beach. Free beach parking with park pass license plate for seniors or if you have chairs etc. Be aware this is a dog friendly home ( although we had no dog) but very clean inside with no sign or smell of dog. Yard is very kid friendly with plenty of space for soccer games and water balloon fights. Front porch and back deck were nice for morning coffee and afternoon drinks. Furnishings are older but comfortable. It would have been nice to have a couple of beach chairs available, but wood for the fire pit , and bags of local coffee and s’more fixings was a nice perk. All and all, a great space for our 3 generation, 5 adults and 5 kids vacation. We will add it to the list for possible stays in the future.

Pentwater vacation.

Property was very handicap accessible. We were so happy to find a vacation rental that could accommodate my son and his power chair. We had a wonderful time and would recommend it to anyone who needs an ADA compliant home or just a very spacious place to vacation. Our host was very accommodating and quick to respond to any questions or concerns that we had.

Nearly Perfect

I could write a long review but with so many good things to say I will touch on just a few. The home is beautiful and worked very well for us, including my mom who spends most of her time in a wheelchair. Kitchen, bedrooms and beds, living areas are all large and comfortable. The ramp to/from the deck was such a blessing so we could take mom with us on walks, downtown, and to the beach. (ramp does get a bit slippery after heavy rain). The firepit was great for us to gather around at night. The proximity to downtown, and the beach is amazing. Thank you to Kyra and Patricia for making this a wonderful place to stay.

Excellent home for family vacation

Location, Location, Location!

This home away from home is situated on the Main Street in Pentwater. Step out the front door and you can walk to the local shops, grab a bite to eat, or have an ice cream treat. The beach is a short walk too! The home is very spacious and offers many bedrooms for multi-generational families. The back deck is also large so we could enjoy grilling out and playing games. The backyard is fenced in so our dog could run and play.

Great Location

We loved our stay here and hope to be back. It was so nice to have an accessible house so my dad could enjoy the vacation as well, he was even able to make it down to the beach. Great location to walk all over Pentwater.

Great home and location!

My family had an excellent stay at this property. I honestly think the pictures don't do it justice. We had someone who is disabled in our group and the accessibility was a key factor in our decision to rent this house. The bathroom was excellent and it was easy to get in and out of the house via the ramp. Because he has a few accessibility aids, we did have to shift some furniture out of the way so he could move safety, but nothing significant. We loved the location. It was a quick 1/4 mile to the beach, and the beach had an accessible table and beach wheelchair. Definitely a great and relaxing week, and I would highly recommend this house. Thanks again.

Multi generation vacation

Owner responsive to questions and helpful with suggestions. Plenty of room for us to spread out. The 3 year olds loved racing up and down the ramp. Ice cream shop was 1 block away. Beach an easy walk even for the toddlers. Took advantage of the fire pit several nights. propane grill made outdoor cooking easy after we spent some time cleaning the accumulation of grease. The fenced yard gave extra security with the little grand babies. Would rebook in the future

Family Wedding Gathering

Plenty of room and great location to downtown Pentwater. The kitchen, dining area, and living room are open to each other so we all could be together. The two bathrooms was not an issue for our 10 adult, two children & dog stay. Fenced in yard was great for our dog. Weather didn't permit us to be outside much but the fire pit did look inviting.

Family Getaway

Really liked this property

Great location, very spacious, well equipped kitchen and baths, very clean, nice deck and backyard with table and chairs. Nice to have bedrooms on both levels for those who like to sleep longer. Thank you so much for sharing your house with us!

I have spent part of every year in Pentwater, but now I live with my husband and seven children in the Upper Peninsula, where I like to fly fish, raise chickens and rabbits, and spend as much time as possible outdoors.

My family has been in Pentwater for over a hundred years, and we still have plenty of relatives there. We bring our family back each year now that we live in Marquette in the UP, and we want to share our love of this village. We bought this house to continue the family traditions! It is a registered historic house that nonetheless has been updated for maximum comfort, including for those with disabilities.

The sheer number of bedrooms when combined with the ADA compliant first floor and the kid-friendly touches mean that this house has been renovated with families of all types in mind. We want you to enjoy it as much as we do and use it as your base to explore the area. Spend mornings on the front port, afternoons in the yard, dinners on the deck, and evenings around the fire pit.
