Denna nybyggda walkout-lägenhet ligger bara några meter från Spring Creek's förtrollande ljud och ensamhet. Stora framfönster ger bra ljus och synlighet för bäcken, pilen, naturskön bro, tallar och de omgivande bergen. Det verkar inte som om du är på en lägre nivå. Bra internet och celltjänst är tillgängligt. Mycket öppen planlösning i rundan gör det bra för familjens utrymme som accentueras av den naturliga baren i tallskogen och guldskiffer för höstskiffer. Ligger tre mil söder om charmiga Hill City, är gästerna bara en kort promenad från Mickelson Trail, 15 minuter från Mount Rushmore och Sylvan Lake, 10 minuter från Custer, 30 minuter från Rapid City och mindre än en timme från Deadwood och vintern idrottsområden nära Lead.

Detta är en rymlig, fullt möblerad walkout-lägenhet med stora fönster och en stor privat uteplats där den gurglande bäcken, ängen och natursköna tallar bjuder in till utforskning. Hjortar, kalkoner och chipmunks är ofta besökare. Bekken har fångbar regnbåge.

Denna cirkelformade struktur är ett "Mandala" -kit hem och passar vackert in i denna alpina sluttning. De mysiga möblerna och den naturliga eldstaden i Black Hills skiffer hjälper dig att koppla av efter en dag och njuta av de historiska platserna och oförglömliga äventyr som finns i överflöd i South Hills i South Dakota.

It was a nice place. Good location.

Overall nice place to stay. No air conditioning but at night it cooled off well. Faster Internet and a smart TV would be awesome. Not sure if a different time of year would have produced fish in the creek, none while we were there.Good central area for the activities we did. We would stay there again.

Pleasant cabin

We have stayed at this cabin twice. We love the location. It's pretty private other than the neighbors up the way. Unfortunately, we have not seen fish in the creek. Nonetheless it's still a pleasant get away. The first time we stayed the landscaping was done very well. This time the weeds were quite tall and a bit of a nuisance. I'm sure we'll be back for round three :)

This is a perfect location if you want to be in the middle of the Black Hills. Very close to Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Iron Mountain Road, Needles Highway, Custer and just 3 miles to Hill City. Very quiet and well off the road. The space is roomy and there's a collection of DVD's to watch and books to read. Nice patio, Washer Dryer, well appointed kitchen and parking right outside the door.

Perfect getaway

We loved the proximity Hideaway was to all the things on our list to see and do. We could leave out early in the morning and explore, come back for a nap, and then go out again. Hideaway was very peaceful at night. We enjoyed sitting outside and listening to birds and watching wildlife. We saw deer, a groundhog, rabbits, birds, and a chipmunk. The manager responded to questions and this place was exactly as advertised. Would definitely recommend.

Incredible Property and Great Location

I know it’s common to say “I would stay here again” in a review, but I would actually go out of my way to stay here if I found myself in the Black Hills again. It literally had everything we needed for our 5 days in the Black Hills. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed for the days we decided to cook, and it is extremely easy to access all the tourist sites from it. We were 13 minutes from Mount Rushmore, a beautiful 20 minute drive to Sylvan Lake, 30 minutes to Wind Cave and Jewel Cave and as near to the Needles Scenic Highway as you can get. There were games for the kids to play and movies to watch, but we were so busy with everything that there was no do that we didn’t have much time for that. You won’t regret staying here.

Awesome property

It was perfect for spending a couple days with my adult daughter. We hiked up to the castle creek dam (Deerfield lake) and fished our way back down to the trailhead Location was ideal

Great Anniversary Getaway

My wife and I stayed here for our 15th anniversary and it was a great place to get away and reconnect. The setting is beautiful and there is plenty to do. It really was a blessing.

Lovely place to stay!

This was the perfect spot for my family. Kids enjoyed the creek and we ate meals outside. Layout was perfect. Furniture was comfortable. Kitchen and bathroom had everything we needed.

Having grown up in the southern Black Hills (Edgemont), I have looked for years for a vacation home location closer to my roots. When this undeveloped piece of land on the banks of Spring Creek became available, I jumped at the opportunity to build my dream retreat in the Hills. I selected a Mandala kit home (see mandala.com) as the structure to build as it fit beautifully on the upslope adjacent to the creek. My plan has always been to make a separate apartment space on the lower level that I could offer as a vacation rental so I might be able to offset the expenses of this second home. My wife and I have four lovely daughters all of whom are out of the nest. We all enjoy the outdoors and traveling. We have used B&B's, AirBnbs, and VRBO's ourselves many times and embrace this mode of lodging as much more engaging and better value than a generic, boring hotel room. We are excited that you are considering a visit to the Black Hills. Highmark is centrally located to easily access most of the popular parks, monuments, and attractions. After the day's activities Highmark offers a beautifully secluded creekside location to unwind and absorb the sounds, smells, and sights of our cherished locale.

This is the only Mandala Home in the Black Hills. Its unique round shape allows an interesting open floor plan where the family can converse, eat, play, and reconnect. The natural materials of wood and slate create a comfortable and cozy environment. There is a large flagstone patio with a bistro table and chairs from which you can enjoy morning coffee and the musical sounds of Spring Creek.
