Rymligt hus med 3 bäddar / 2 badkar ligger ovanför den mäktiga floden Uncompahgre. Ta en promenad ner vid floden eller över till Ridgway State Park mindre än en halv mil bort. Staden Ridgway ligger 3 mil bort, där butiker och restauranger finns i överflöd. Telluride är bekvämt 45 minuter bort och Ouray ligger bara 10 minuter till dess varma källor och äventyr!
Den här egenskapen är ett utmärkt basläger för många aktiviteter, särskilt jakt under hösten. Bekväm åtkomst till enheterna 62 och 65. Gott om parkering för trailers, atv's, utv's, etc.
Gott om vilda djur att titta på vid fastigheten. Skalliga örnar anländer i slutet av september / början av oktober för höstlaxen som körs från Ridgway-reservoaren uppför floden Uncompahgre. A decent home in a great location. Although the house is definitely older, the accommodation was fine for our needs. Beds were comfortable and and the home had everything we needed, plus it was 3 mins from a grocery store. Scenery was amazing and it was awesome being close to the river, even if it was a short hike down the hill. The interior could definitely use some updating and deep cleaning. Many items didn't work or weren't available. No working hot tub, refrigerator water dispenser and ice were inoperable and there were a few light bulbs out that I replaced myself. The tap water was not that great, so we bought spring water. Many faucets an the tub had significant hard water crust. Overall it was a good stay due to it's convenient location to Ridgway, Ouray, and Telluride, the great scenery and openness and the price we paid compared to others in the area.

wonderful views. Building needs significant improvements. Ice maker on refrigerator was not working, several light fixtures not functioning. Kitchen supplies were of poorer quality than other places we have stayed, and somewhat mismatched. Very warm when we stayed, and inability to open windows for cross ventilation made it uncomfortable. Handle on shower faucet was not working properly and made it difficult to control temperature.

Our experience at this property was very disappointing. The place was not clean when we arrived — the bathroom trash can still had trash in them, which set the tone right away. The listing features multiple photos of a jacuzzi, which was one of the main reasons we booked, but it turned out to be completely non-functional. This felt very misleading since it was highlighted twice in photos. On top of that, the host made us uncomfortable. He was aggressive in his communication when asked about the jacuzzi. He walked around the property with his dog off leash, which felt unsafe and intrusive.To make matters worse, the host expected us to clean but did not provide any cleaning supplies whatsoever. It was unreasonable to be asked to tidy and maintain the space without the basic tools to do so.He had a cleaning crew show up over an hour before check out, blasting music in the front yard while trying to finish up work. Overall, this property has potential but the stay did not match the listing, and we would not recommend this property to others. I would tell anyone considering this listing to look elsewhere and avoid the headache.

Beautiful views, responsive host. Slightly outdated home and trying to get a hot hot shower wasn’t possible. But the views of the home and location wise made up for it.

Incredible location - house needs some TLC

The location and local activities were perfect! The house was spacious and comfortable and had several nice features like newer flooring, lovely wood beams, lots of counter space, spectacular views, and ideally located near trails. The unit was advertised with a premier host rating so we expected a 4- or 5-star unit, but the cleanliness and maintenance of the unit were more like a 3-star facility. The backyard furniture was falling apart and unusable, and there was no grill (we used the host's personal grill - not a great location). The window screens were in bad repair and the screen door was broken (letting in all the flies). The refrigerator ice maker and water dispenser were broken. A number of light bulbs were burnt out. The master bed was on a platform that was too large for the mattress and difficult to get in and out of. The front room bed was extremely uncomfortable (but we were glad for the air mattress). There were no small, but nice personal touches such as tissues, shampoo, or lotion. The kitchen was not well organized, and it was hard to find things. There were a large amount of dead bugs in most of the light fixtures, and the living room furniture had not been vacuumed. The caulking on the windows and bathrooms was in bad repair. The condensation in the windows hinders the spectacular views. With a little elbow grease, updated décor & furniture (beds and patio), and TLC, this unit would live up to the premier rating and be worth the price.

Great location! The house is large enough for everyone to stretch out. Jay was quick to answer any questions and to give suggestions for hiking, biking etc.

Ridgway is the Right Way to Enjoy Colorado

The rustic cabin is located in a quiet rural subdivision just minutes from restaurants and hiking. The cabin sits on top a ridge. The views are amazing. Every day we would rush home to enjoy the tranquil patio. The mountains and river are breathless. Our 2 dogs loved the place. The host is very gracious and attentive.

Enjoyed Location

Good location outside of Ridgway. Bed mattresses could use updating, pretty worn out. Hot tube worked, not all jets were working. Spacious house, enjoyed the stay.

Property is in a great location for the area, easy to get to and comfortable size. Only area of improvement would be a bit more detail to the cleanliness of the house, but nothing that we couldn't take care of ourselves

All about location and the host!

From the beginning communication with our host was excellent. He was responsive to all inquiries and accessible by phone and text. When we had car trouble, he helped, he provided sleds, advice about the area and kept the hot tub spotless. House is well located for winter activities-skiing and sledding in Ouray and Telluride, hot springs in Ouray and Ridgway, community rec center in Montrose, Ouray Ice Park. Beautiful drive up Owl Creek Pass Rd, and million dollar highway if you are brave. Close to good restaurants and breweries but best to stock up on groceries in Montrose. Loved having the 'meadow' below the house-grandkids and dogs loved the freedom. House is large and well equipped for entertaining and fit our family of 7 well. We used two outdoor chairs to augment living room seating. Master bedroom bed was super comfy but might need mattress toppers for other two beds. Laundry room served as mud room which worked well with winter weather. Kitchen appliances in good working order and we loved the air fryer. Thanks Jay for a great CO experience!

What a view

We got to watch the fall colors come alive at this beautiful property. Jay is a great host and the dogs loved it. Bring coffee cups. . . . They were missing. The hot tub was a hit as was the wall of windows looking at the San Juan’s. Great internet too. Thanks Jay - we will be back.

wonderful views, close to the city but with space to breathe

Waking up, watching the sun come up at the lake every morning was wonderful. We saw a bald eagle on two of our three mornings and that alone was amazing. The deer around the property was special as well, to connect with nature all around. The house itself is not spectacular in the materialistic way. It's older, 'in need of a remodel' and new or cleaned carpet would be a bonus. The patio itself needs some work, as there are a few areas that are 'soft' or a bit in disrepair. Though many may have balked that this, it was oK for us. We don't care so much about bling, but new carpet and a more comfortable couch would be nice. We would stay here again - for the views, the quiet and the nature.
