Heaven on Earth !!

Everything from reservation, checkin, stay and checkout was perfect during our famiLy vacation. Thank you to the Wrights family for sharing your beautiful home with us See you again for sure!!!! Soooo relaxing perfect location . Feeding the Elk were the hit for the kids . You want to get away from all the hustle and bustle this is the place . Perfect Weekend Getaway!

This cabin is absolutely beautiful! It has the feel of a cozy cabin deep in the woods but is minutes from town. Perfect for a large family! Gorgeous and peaceful place!

Bobowski Family Reunion

We had four couples stay in the cabin and had four others visiting every day. It was wonderful space to enjoy each other inside and out. It was beautiful and very comfortable. It couldn't have been more perfect for our family. The Elk and Deer were an extra treat! Absolutely beautiful accommodations.

Exceptional Property

Wonderful house close to shopping, dining, and golf. All the amenities. Lots of elk and deer to view off of beautiful back deck. Very clean. Will definitely be back. Super nice host. Loved everything about our stay!

Beautiful Cabin!

We had an amazing Christmas Weekend at this beautiful cabin! Shannon went above and beyond decorating it for Christmas. We thought there might just be a Christmas tree but there was so much more. This was one of the best stocked VRBO’s we’ve stayed in. And we’ve stayed at several. Thank you for making our Christmas special and for the yummy treats you left us! We will definitely be back!!!

Perfect family vacation

I want to start by saying that Shannan is an incredible host. We had a personal issue just 3 days before checking in and he didn’t hesitate to work with us, thank you Shannan. He answered his phone immediately and helped us with everything we needed during our stay. The cabin is amazing. Truly like a second home instead of a rental property. Located in a wonderful neighborhood and great for the kids to play outside, in the huge covered deck or inside in the upstairs loft. We woke up with over 20 elks one morning just in front of our deck. The kids loved feeding them
. They were so closed we were able to touch their noses. There was lots of snow one day and we had no issues driving around the neighborhood even though we don’t have a 4x4 car. It’s a very relaxing place for adults, like a retreat but very close to downtown Ruidoso. Downtown Ruidoso is pretty cute. If you don’t plan to ski, skip this part
. Things to consider that are not related to the cabin but to Ski Apache specifically. They don’t have ski in ski out which makes the cabin a perfect option. You are really close to the bottom of the road that takes you to the ski lifts and then about 8 miles driving up the mountain. If you plan to ski, make sure you either have a 4x4 car or chains to go up the mountain. We couldn’t get up one day. Chains for our car were very expensive so we decided not to go. Also, check Ski Apache hours of operation. We didn’t realize they are closed during the week, they’re only opened during weekends starting January 2nd which is not what other resorts do and we didn’t know. Ski Apache doesn’t sell anything online but they have a store downtown a Ruidoso you might want to take advantage of. I recommend stopping by their shop in town to by lift tickets and rentals. The lines up at the mountain are very long (2 hours) and rentals are only available for 1 day. We made that mistake the first day. In conclusion, we had a wonderful stay and when we go back to Ruidoso we will be staying at the same place.

We had a small wedding in the yard and everything was absolutely perfect! The cabin was everything I dreamed of being for our special day. We couldn't have found a better spot or better hosts to communicate with during our stay. Now I feel they will always be a part of our family.

Everything in the house was operative, kitchen/cooking utensils was sufficiently stocked, had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Back porch was better than we imagined it could be. Great view of the stream and wildlife (elk, deer and even mustang horses) passing by every day we were there. A great place to stay, we felt right at home there.

Wonderful Cabin

The cabin was excellent. It was a perfect place for family to gather and relax. The host was the absolute best with communication. I highly recommend the place.Hopefully we will be back soon

Family getaway

Amazing!! Wow, everything and more as described... our host Shannan very attentive from the beginning of our stay to the end and our return home. This was the perfect getaway to celebrate our parents 67th wedding anniversary, very humbling and peacefull with the surrounding of nature, deer, ducks the stream in the back and this beautiful log home. We will definitely return for another experience and more memories....this home has everything and then some, no stone was left un turn for the creation and maintenance of this beauty....Thank you Shannan for this humbling experience!!great experience.

A lovely home

Shannan was our host. He communicated quickly, every time I had a problem. Someone left a review saying the photos of the house do not give it justice of how lovely the home is. My family had a fun time, very relaxing beautiful view. Everyone in my family totally loved this home. Definitely coming back when and if available. It has a nice play area upstairs for the kids. Highly recommend this place.

Amazing Get Away

This property is amazing in all aspects. Nothing was a fail here. The patio is/was my favorite. Just such a beautiful place. Kids enjoyed it so much and to top off the amazing time we had, it snowed for us and the little ones enjoyed snowball fights. To the owner who was always very attentive and checking in to make sure everything was ok, you are awesome.

It is a Spacious, Beautiful easily accessible Log Sided Cabin with a Relaxing Atmosphere, Clean, Comfortable and easy access to local attractions. the road is on a dead end street with no traffic and lots of room for kids to play and plenty of parking

The View from the Back Deck is Incredible and so relaxing, Sit in a rocking chair and listen to the water trickle by in Cedar Creek and watch for Deer & Elk that pass through on a regular basis, newly chip sealed road to Cabin, Place to park an RV if you like,
