The property was convenient to beaches and Hilo . It was 45 minutes from Volcanoes park . There was snorkel equipment to use . The washer and dryer was appreciated . There is not A/C . It was muggy when we were there , but the fans made it comfortable . The house was well equipped with towels for the beach . The kitchen was well equipped also. There were basic spices and condiments which was appreciated . The welcome note and fruit basket were a very kind touch . Would recommend for a nice stay .

This was probably the best well stocked vacation rental I’ve experienced. There were plenty of towels, pillows, bedding, and fans. Plus so many things to help you have an amazing trip to the beach, if you want. A little bit of a drive to get to but worth it to be near the coast and get to sit out and enjoy hearing the waves each day.

Delicious fruit bowl upon our arrival. Lovely garden setting with the pleasant chirps of frogs at night. Beautiful view from nearby cliffside walk.

The house was in a great location as we traveled all around the island. The hosts provided all necessary information, recommendations for sites and restaurants, and made sure we knew how to contact them if we needed them. The house had all we needed during our stay.

This was amazing! We’d done a week in Waikiki and wanted a few days somewhere quieter and with lots of nature. It felt like being in the Hawaiian countryside and was a great home base between Volcanoes NP, snorkeling, swimming, and a day trip to Kona. The house is nestled in a neighborhood of fruit trees, right by lava rock cliffs. At night you hear frogs and birds. Its quaint…we bought shortbread out of someone’s garage and Saturday coffee at the end of someone’s driveway! The house is comfortable and cool with plenty of fans and screened windows. The whole process of renting, checking in, and checking out was easy. I would love to return.

Wonderful stay again

This is our 2nd year staying here and we loved it just as much the 2nd time around. We have family in the area so it was a great home base to have them come visit (their house is tiny). Would stay again in a heartbeat.
