Byggdes 1976, Ă€r detta Frank Lloyd Wright-lĂ€rling utformade hem inbĂ€ddat i de rullande bergen i Wisconsin River Valley pĂ„ 30 hektar gammal lövskog och restaurerade inhemska prĂ€rie. Öppen planlösning vardagsrum, matsal och kök med höga 18 fot tak, takfönster och vintage vedspis. Glidande glasdörrar öppnas för ett 400 kvadratfot dĂ€ck som Ă€r suspenderat i trĂ€den och ser över dammen nedan. Nyligen ombyggda kök och badrum. Kök med gasutrymme, full storlek kylskĂ„p, mikrovĂ„gsugn, diskmaskin och lagret skafferi. Utomhusgasgrill. 2 sovrum, alla med en queen size-sĂ€ng och badrum. rymliga garderober, sĂ€ngklĂ€der och handdukar.
HalvvÀgs mellan Spring Green och Dodgeville. Cirka 12 miles till American Players Theatre, downtown Spring Green och Frank Lloyd Wrights Taliesin. 50 miles till Madison.

This was our second stay at the house. Everything was just as wonderful as our first stay. It’s impossible to feel stressed when you’re in this lovely house, surrounded by trees. Fortunately, it was cooler this trip so we were able to take advantage of the wonderful wood stove. Can’t wait til our next trip.

Have stayed here multiple times. Always welcoming, spotlessly clean, and peaceful. This is a special home, lovingly cared for, and we appreciate that we can enjoy the home, the surrounding wooded property, and the beautiful area. The drives to nearby towns and state parks are an added bonus. Even our dog never wants to leave this place!

Beautiful property in an amazing off the beaten path location. Very drivable to area attractions like downtown Spring Green and American Players Theater. Large deck with cute lights to enjoy the evenings, lots of vintage furnishings, and everything you'd need in the kitchen. Great stay!

Quiet rural retreat on wooded property, beautiful design and layout, beautiful surroundings. We came for the weekend to have a peaceful retreat and go to a couple plays at APT, and the house delivered in every way.

Beautiful place, well provisioned, quiet, convenient to Spring Green and APT, pet friendly (we had a couple of standard poodles that had a great time exploring), good beds and shower (essential!), and very easy communication with the host. Would happily stay here again.

We went for a weekend and stayed in this beautiful place. It is exquisitely decorated and has everything that you could possibly want. We saw shooting stars, as the night sky was perfectly dark without city lights. We were only a five minute drive to Spring Green for shopping and sightseeing. This felt both totally remote and convenient, and such a gorgeous house!!

Wonderful place out in nature to get away and unplug. Spent sunny days on the deck that felt like a treehouse and cool nights inside by the fireplace. The house was comfortable and well appointed.

Check in was easy. Everything we needed. Towels, bedding, dishes, pans, cooking oil, some spices, coffee pot, games, movies, books. Big windows by the patio, for awesome birdwatching and other critters. SO relaxing and beautiful!

Beautiful home in secluded location. Felt like we were communing with nature. Grab your groceries at a nearby town. You won’t want to leave once you get there. Very close to Taliesin

Clean and comfortable

This is the cleanest place i have been in since my Swedish grandmother's home. I am picky, and the cabin was immaculate. Everything one would want was anticipated. Gorgeous birds outside the main window. A perfect retreat.

This property has been in our family since 1975 when Gene and Elizabeth Stirling bought 30 woodland acres and hired Frank Lloyd Wright apprentice Frank Leach to build them this retirement/summer home. Elizabeth’s son Christopher, Phyllis’s husband, along with many local friends, helped with the construction. Once the house was completed Elizabeth filled it with furniture and dĂ©cor from her world travels. Her grandchildren came from all over the country to spend their summers here. Christopher built his own family home on the property,
up the hill, in 1979.
Over the years four generations have lived in this house at different times- including a Taliesin tour guide, Spring Green General Store owners, an editor of the Home News and an American Players Theatre actor. In 2012 Phyllis moved in following Christopher’s passing. She and her son and his wife- an Interior Designer- did extensive renovations to the bathrooms, kitchen and floors.
And now Phyllis welcomes her own children and grandchildren who travel cross-country to spend time here every summer.
We hope you enjoy our treasured family retreat as much as we have over the years.
