Welcome to our rustic, small cabin overlooking the lower Wisconsin River. We are close to many area attractions including Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin, House on the Rock, American Players Theater, Wisconsin Dells, and much more! Activities include canoeing, kayaking, hunting, fishing and shopping in quaint villages, visiting local wineries or just relaxing watching the river... Our cabin is easy to get to and close to area villages.

Please note, since we are sandwiched between the road and the river there is unfortunately heavy traffic noise at times.

Beautiful place

We enjoyed our time at the cabin! We had all the comforts if home. The property is close to a road but still felt very private and serene. The river views are gorgeous! The loft sleeping area was fine and the beds were so comfortable. The hosts are nice and available if needed.

Charming Cabin with Exceptional View

My husband and I came up for a quick visit to see my in-laws. I wish we could have spent more time at this cabin. It was adorable, it had all the necessary amenities. I loved the wood stove; it kept the cabin warm on chilly evenings. Staying right on the Wisconsin river was a bonus. I enjoyed sipping coffee on the porch and listening to the wind chimes. I saw from the guest book that many people who stay have returned multiple times since their first visit and I plan to come back, too! Highly recommend! The hosts were very accommodating and responsive.

Excellent experience

We stayed two nights and had a wonderful time. Rick took us up the river for a fantastic canoe float, and we loved relaxing on the clean, private, very comfortable property.

Rustic cabin

This little cabin was so clean, cozy and cute! The exposed wood throughout gave it that true cabin feel. The loft rooms did have a low ceiling height, but the beds were very comfortable and clean. Unfortunately it rained most of our weekend, but the outdoor space was amazing and right on the river. Wish we could have used the fire pit, but we’ll have to save that for next time!

Scenic Riverview!

The lot overlooks the Wisconsin River. Shaded front porch runs the length of the house. Between that and the trees along the riverbank, you have shade all day long if you want, or walk out in the sun for a while. The hosts were very helpful with everything, including finding places where I can do all my favorite vacation activities. Had a great time! The only problem was tearing myself away from the beautiful property to go and see the area. I will definitely return. One of my top 3 vacation spots ever. The pictures look great and inviting, but in person it's a dream come true.

Cabin in the Woods

Another wonderful stay at Sandy and Ricks cabin. The view of the river cannot be beat! The spacious front porch and cozy family room is so relaxing. Just what my husband and I needed!

40th anniversary

Cabin was great. All furniture was Comfy. Loved the front porch and view of the river. Enjoyed watching all the birds at the bird feeder. Would highly recommend staying here!

Perfect weekend

The cabin and our stay could not have been any better than it was! Sandy met us Friday night and showed us around. The cabin was clean, nicely decorated and well appointed. They was a lot to do in the area and we had tons of fun. Coffee on the front porch on the morning and a fire in the firepit at night was peaceful and perfect. We will DEFINITELY be back in the future

Relaxation on the river!

We loved our stay at this cute cabin! This region of Wisconsin is so beautiful and we loved exploring it for three days. The listing accurately describes this cabin as “rustic” and “small,” though the satellite TV, Google speaker and full kitchen don’t say “primitive” to me! I will say that the ceiling in the upper level sleeping area is very low indeed—fine for children, but not for my husband who is over 6 ft tall. I’m several inches shorter and also found it difficult to navigate the upper level. But the pull-out sofa in the living room worked fine. If you visit in the summer, the upper level will be quite warm and you may encounter some insects—it’s a rustic cabin, after all! But the AC unit keeps the main level much cooler. The host, Sandy, met us at the start of our stay and gave us a gift of some cheese with local morel mushrooms in it—delicious! She provided great information about the area, so we were able to do as much or as little as we wanted. We loved the ever-changing entertainment of the birds at the feeder, and it was wonderful to watch the river slowly roll by. We would definitely visit the region again—though maybe when the weather is a bit cooler!

Cozy cottage

I can not express how happy we were to meet Sandy and Rick,they went above and beyond to make us feel so welcome. Sandy made us cookies which was a great touch for meeting to get the keys etc. The cabin itself was so awesome,we loved all the details from the pellet stove to the bird feeder being full for us to birdwatch, the view of the river was breathtaking we caught all the fall colors. The fire pit was an added plus although due to cooler temps.we did not take advantage. The book they left with local places to visit restaurants etc. Was very useful,we would return in a heartbeat. This cabin had everything you would need from cooking utensils to bug spray, plenty of towels toilet paper coffee maker and so on. Thanks Sandy and Rick. Be back soon. Sincerely Tonia and Bryan.
