Sandwich - Perfect Vacation Spot!

This home was the perfect "home base" for our first trip to Cape Cod. While we took many day trips to explore Cape Cod, this home was the perfect place to return to and unwind. The views of the beach and the marsh were stunning. While there are other houses on the road, you really feel like you have your own private beach. The house was immaculate and had everything we needed. It is also beautifully decorated. The host was the most responsive and communicative VRBO host I have ever dealt with - she very clearly cared that we had a wonderful stay. I can't say enough great things about the home and the host! We will definitely be back. What a beautiful place to vacation.

Great stay

Property was lovely, clean, and comfortable, and location was perfect right on the beach. Plenty to do for kids. Deck was perfect to sit out and enjoy the lovely views. Owners were very attentive and responsive to communication.

On the beach

It was the perfect beach house for the family of 5. We had a nice view of the ocean. The house was an adorable beach house with everything you need. Close to nice restaurants too.

Little Slice of Paradise

We had a wonderful stay! The house was lovely- updated and bright, a gorgeous ocean view, and a large deck with stairs right to the beach! The owners were extremely helpful and responsive to our needs and/or questions. We enjoyed the house, it’s view, the beach, and refreshing ocean (chilly but refreshing during the hot week!) so much that we didn’t venture far or out much the entire week. It was all there, and just a perfect place to spend time with my adult kids and a few of their close friends. A big thank you to Rachael and David.

Special Family Time

The weather did not cooperate but the house and location were spot on. My family had time to regroup, mellow out (do jigsaw puzzles), cook and enjoy the kind people in Sandwich. My great granddaughter was with us for 2 days and that was exceedingly special. The downstairs suite was perfect for her and her parents. The property owners were responsive and kind. 92 Salt Marsh Road is a place I would love to come again!

Cozy Beach Getaway

Our recent stay at this property was great! The house was clean and very cozy-it truly felt like a HOME! There were plenty of sleeping options with tons of linens, towels provided, and lots of dishes, cooking supplies, etc. The host has beach chairs and umbrellas for your use, which is great since you are literally steps from your own private beach. The beach itself was VERY rocky. Be sure to pack water shoes! It was also super buggy but nothing some bug spray couldn’t help. The host was extremely helpful and communicated promptly. We would definitely stay at this property again!

Great Family Spot

This property is beautiful! It was very clean and everything clearly labeled at the property. We traveled with my parents and 3 small children (6, 4, 2). The beach was private and right there as you walk off the deck. It was perfect to have our 2 year old nap while the older two kids could keep playing on the beach in the afternoon. We highly recommend renting this house especially if you have small children that nap!

Beautiful Stay

Beautiful Home. Very clean and fantastic views. The home had all thr supplies we needed (trash bags, aluminum foil, etc) Rachael was on top of things and made for a great experience. Only neg was that it must have been bug season in the deck..but there was bug spray there. I would definitely rent again. John

A little slice of Heaven on earth!

This was our first time booking through VRBO, but it won't be the last. The pictures don't do this waterfront home justice. Beautiful waterfront views from front and back. The owner Rachel was very quick and easy to communicate with and a pleasure to work with. Everything thing was super clean and beautifully decorated. We didn't have the best weather, but it didn't matter because even just enjoying a cup of coffee on the couch while viewing the ocean was a pleasure. My daughter actually got engaged right there on the beach!! There were 6 adults and it was more than spacious. Definitely would come back in the future.

Wow. Like Two for One.

First, this was perhaps the cleanest rental we ever stayed-in. The ocean views in the back of the house were magnificent as promised, but we weren't aware of the amazing marsh (and its views) in the front of the property. It was like we could choose which vacation spot to enjoy on a whim. Getting to the house was bumpy on an unpaved road, but it added to the fun of the excursion. Loved our time on Spring Hill!

On the beach with amazing views!

The house is beautiful, very tastefully decorated and spotless! It was very roomy for three of us. Location couldn't have been better - just walk down the stairs and you're on the beach! Kitchen is very well stocked, down to the electric tea kettle, a nice unexpected bonus (I had brought mine from home). The owners were very responsive to any questions we had. Neighborhood/beach was nice and quiet since we were there after the summer crowd had left. We enjoyed the clam chowder at the nearby Pilot House restaurant and a day trip to Martha's Vineyard. Hoping to return!

surprise vacation

Surprised because pictures of property did not do justice to rental. Over 50 years of rental vacations, this is the cleanest, most sufficiently supplied house we have rented. Except for Provincetown area, most restaurants, lighthouses, and sights are approximately within 30 minutes.

Could have been nice, but…

We had two visible mold issues. We had to eliminate a quarter of the house because of it. One of my guests got sick because of it. We had two choices, leave the property or just not use a bedroom and TV area which put one person on a uncomfortable couch and the other person on the floor. We’re in our 60s.

House met our needs ( 5 adults ) and the location was well suited for striper's & blue fish up and down the shoreline. Outlet of Mill creek to the left and a short walk to the right up to Scorton creek.

Excellent location and property

The property was clean, well maintained and had more than enough space for our family. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, plates, pots and pans. The kids were able to watch tv in the downstairs family room in the morning, letting mom and dad sleep in. Of course there was also the upstairs living room with tv as well. Washer and dryer were a huge plus and allowed us to pack lighter. It was great to be able to walk right out onto the beach in the morning without having to drive elsewhere. The beach was wonderful and the water was exceptionally clear, though water shoes were a must. Since the waves were not very large it was better for the kids. It was great to walk down the beach to the opening of the creek. The location of the property was nice and quiet for a very for a very relaxing vacation.

Beautiful views!

Overall the house is as seen in the photos and the view is second to none and truly spectacular! The family enjoyed our stay and the beach chairs and towels were a plus. The house was well stocked accept for a lack of paper products. I would also suggest that the landlord clean up the vegetation around the driveway. It makes it difficult to exit and enter the cars and would improve first impressions.All in all it was a lovely vacation.

Wonderful family vacation

Our group had a fantastic stay! The house has a great layout for two families to have their own space and we basically had the beach to ourselves for the week! The deck is also a fabulous place to have meals and relax watching the sunset at night. The owner was so easy to work with and quick to respond the couple of times we needed to communicate. We would absolutely stay here again!

The location is a rare find. You will be surrounded with stunning open views from the back and front of the house. The house is directly on the beach. You can sit on the deck and watch your kids playing ball on the beach. It's a private beach, so here you can escape, relax and get mesmerized by the blue of soft waves hitting shore. The other side of the house (front) is a beautiful marsh.
The sunsets from the deck are not to be missed - all the pictures on this website by guests and owners represent stunning beauty of a colorful sunset.
