Very much enjoyed our stay here. Great view. The hiking trails close by were our daily exercise. Unlike other places we have stayed, this condo was full of amenities (cookware, spices, etc.) Appreciated being able to share the trails and the home with our dog. Thank you!!

Another awesome trip to Beech Mountain!

This was our 3rd time staying in the Abbott's Beech Mtn condo and, as usual, it did not disappoint. Amazing views, all the comforts of home, super clean and a fantastic price! The town of Beech Mountain has gotten better and better over the years... if you go dont skip out on the Brick Oven Pizzeria (the BBQ pizza is awesome!) or Holy Smokes BBQ ... and Poppy's coffee shop is a great new addition and within walking distance of the condo. The Abbott's are wonderful hosts, very helpful and easy to communicate with. We cannot wait to go back!

Great trip!

We had such a great time, and the condo was lovely! We cooked dinner one night and had all the necessary items to do so. Coffee was stocked with K-cups, but we brought our own coffee to use for the carafe. Everything was very clean. The views were AMAZING, and we woke up our last day to a winter wonderland! I would definitely recommend staying here. The owners were very quick to communicate, and made our stay wonderful! Thank you!

The property was dirty, it appears that the cleaning person only changes sheets, if that. The tv and furniture was dusty. There was a bunch of hair in the downstairs shower floor. The home needs some attention.

The house was very clean and had all the amenities that we needed plus some! The closest grocery store is about 20 min away, however there is a cute little Mercantile about 5 min away, if you need something quick. The house was very quiet and peaceful. My famiy and I will be visiting again!

Well-stocked for eating in, great views, comfy beds, fireplace and ample seating. If I had to pick something negative it would be some squeeky spots in the floors, so yeah, awesome rental for a family. Probably the best rental in the 4 times to the mountains the last couple years.

Clean & Cozy

We came into the mountains in the middle of an ice/snow fall. It was a nice treat to come in off the road from a 13 hour trip to a clean and cozy place. The kitchen was fully stocked, the bathrooms were spacious and stocked with towels, the bedrooms were clean and comfortable. Would recommend. Although we didn’t use it, the fireplace was really nice! I bet this would be super nice for those skiing in the winter.

Cozy, comfortable and clean with incredible views - wonderful price point. STAY HERE!!

We loved every minute of our visit here, despite Hurricane Michael blowing thru and giving us 2 complete rain-out days. The condo is exactly as Dawn (owner) describes it. Everything you need for relaxing, cooking and just being comfortable is here, it's truly like home-away-from-home ...it is perfectly furnished. The fireplace is great, we used it every day. Love the large stone hearth! The views are as good as advertised, though we did not get as much deck time as we hoped due to the weather. The property is easy to find (steep roads of course). Parking and entry are simple. Beds are comfortable. Very nice quality linens and dishes (sometimes rare in rentals). Great TV's and gaming options. The wifi is fast and dependable ... even thru a hurricane with 40 to 60 mph wind gusts, we never lost power or internet, pretty amazing! The bathrooms are on the 2 bedroom levels, there is no bathroom on the middle level with the kitchen/living room (FYI). Master suite is super private and quiet (as parents of 3 kids we loved being 2 levels above them at night, I'll be honest). Living room and dining area are spacious and plenty of room for 6 to 8 people to comfortably hang out. Very comfortable living room furniture (a plus!). Be careful with the blinds throughout the condo, follow the instructions opening and closing, they can be tricky. The proximity to everything on the mountain is perfect, 5 to 7 minutes from the golf course and from 'downtown' where the grocery store, putt-putt and multiple restaurants are located and 10 to 12 minutes from the Buckeye Recreation Center (great cabin fever spot for the kids). Dawn is a fantastic VRBO owner! She was extremely patient as we made online reservation mistakes, quick to respond both before and during our trip when we needed her help. Owners like her make folks like us return to their properties over and over, while referring our friends and family! We've been coming to Beech Mountain for two decades and one of our favorite things about it is the genuine friendliness of the residents and employees here - and that continued this week. They truly love having guests and make it a wonderful place to visit. Over the years we have stayed in Boone, Blowing Rock, Valle Crucis and Banner Elk but would prefer Beech over any of them, due to the views, quaintness and the people. Book your mountain stay HERE, you will absolutely not regret it!

Shelter from Hurricane Florence

What a blessing to find this clean and well cared for condo! We had to evacuate our homes in Southport,NC and headed west hoping to avoid disaster. This reasonably priced condo had three great bedrooms, two baths and a kitchen with everything you would need to cook and pour a glass of wine while gaze at the majestic mountains outside. The drive to the top of the mountain isn’t for sissies and with the threat of mudslides from the local weatherman, we were a bit apprehensive but all was well. We even went out to dinner to celebrate my Monumental 70th Birthday! All in all, we were so pleased with this condo and the support from the owners. They even offered a generous discount on the daily rate the last few days considering our circumstances. Very much appreciated. Hope to return under less stressful circumstances in the future!
