"The Crest" har en scenisk mild enhet till en rymlig parkeringsplats som Àr i nivÄ med stuga, som ligger pÄ en höjd av 3200 fot. FrÄn bilen, du Àr bara nÄgra steg frÄn den tÀckta veranda. Du kommer in ett rymligt vardagsrum och omedelbart omgiven av stora fönster med fantastisk utsikt över naturen och de omgivande bergen. Packa upp, ljus gas spis och du kommer inte vill lÀmna!

VĂ„r "rökfri" och "pet vĂ€nliga" Stugan ligger nĂ€ra den historiska charm Blowing Rock och vĂ€xande högskolan staden Boone. ÄndĂ„ precis utanför dörren ligger 12 tunnland att ströva omkring, rĂ„djur och vilda kalkoner. PĂ„ angrĂ€nsande fastighet National Forest Ă€r Hebron Falls, med en fet ström att följa, eller en stor djĂ€rvare att bara sitta pĂ„ och fisk. LĂ„ter underbart? ....Det Ă€r!

De frÀmre och stora tillbaka omfattas verandor Àr bra stÀllen att njuta av rask morgnar, varma eftermiddagar och svala kvÀllar, med en speciell kopp kaffe och en trevlig bok frÄn vÄr lÀsning bibliotek. De omgivande naturens ljud kan invagga dig i en vilsam eftermiddag tupplur.

A slice of paradise!

The home had everything we needed and the property outside was amazing! The dogs loved being able to explore w/o the restriction of neighbors right next door. Hiked, visited Boone & Blowing Rock and s’mores at the firepit. We did it all!

Great house, perfect location

We enjoyed a 2 night stay at The Crest with 4 adults and 2 kids, and everyone had a great time. The kids loved the fire pit and loft area of the house, and we all appreciated the secluded feel while still having an easy drive to town. We were there during a decent snowfall that had roads closed, but we were still able to get up the gravel road and driveway to the cabin fine with a truck and SUV equipped with just standard tires and 4WD. We'll certainly be planning a trip back!

Beautiful spot, what a gem!

Judith takes great care of this home and it shows. Everything is thoughtfully laid out and supplied. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are supplied with space heaters, fans, black-out blinds--all the little touches that make for a comfortable stay. The views from the deck can't be beat. Short trip into Boone. Back roads to Blowing Rock were a little harder on the car but accessible. Looking forward to another stay in May when it's a bit warmer.

Private mountain retreat

Great place to stay

We really enjoyed staying at this cabin. There was plenty of room for my family of five. The yard was spacious and had a nice fire pit. We accidentally left some ear buds and they were so kind to arrange them being mailed to us. We would definitely return to this place.

Great location!

This property is in a wonderful location. We were only a short drive from all the hiking, shopping, and dining spots but felt cozy and secluded in the home. Judy was awesome, as well!

Marvelous mountain home

We spent 9 wonderful days at this beautiful home. It is very spacious and contained everything we needed. The cool temperatures revived our souls and we did not want to return to Florida. We would love to come back.

Great location and view

This was a great location to go do a lot of different things in Boone, Blowing Rock etc. the view was fantastic and felt like we were on top of the world. Had everything we needed.

We all love the Blue Ridge Mountains!

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

Western North Carolina and the Blue Ridge Mountains have always been a part of both of our early years. In later years, married with children, we vacationed each summer in the Blue Ridge Mountains. It was a welcome escape from the Florida heat. During those vacations periods, we spent time searching for our 'own place'. An opportunity presented itself one summer, when were walking some acreage which we owned and discovered that 'The Crest,' was available and ready for a new beginning.

We have since spent time remodeling and making improvements. It is a special place for us to escape when opportunity permits. As we are not there as often as we would like to be, we enjoy having others visit! Many of our 'repeat friends' refer to 'The Crest' as 'our mountain home' when they return to visit each summer.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

'The Crest' is an experience of peace and serenity. The beauty of nature is inspiring and the walk on the drive is just what my soul yearns for, after months of city life and school teaching. In fact, when the pace gets tough, I visualize the front porch, a rocking chair, a cool breeze with the sound of the wind in the trees, and the forest view down the drive. It is a great place to be and instills peace and tranquility.
