Hostess very nice and accommodating. Parking was ok. Unit has window a/c instead of central air. Had a musty smell all week. Did not care for that. Nice fire pit. And the neighbors that week in the other unit was very nice.

Great place, easy access to Johnson’s Bay, tiki bar is very nice. The host is super, attended to a few small issues prmptly. We’ll be coming back next year.

Great place!

We had a wonderful stay! Anjum was a very accommodating and gracious host. House was completely updated, very comfortable and perfect for our family. We also rented the pontoon - a perfect week at Lake Wawasee!

Would stay there again

Anjum is a Prmier host and has a great place on the channel. We enjoyed the stay and had everthing we needed. Great place to dock your boat for the night.

Relaxation

Perfect, Quiet, getaway retreat!

Anjum was amazing and his property did not disappoint! Great location on the channel with amazing lake access! Completely responsive and 1000% enjoyable for the entire stay!

Our hosts were wonderful! They were very kind, considerate, and helpful. Parking was a breeze, especially with a boat trailer. The condo was clean. Kitchen was great! Bedrooms were very nice. We will definitely keep this place in mind for next time.

Wonderful host

Our host was very responsive and pleasant to work with. They checked in with us and made sure we had all we needed. There were plenty of towels and supplies for our use. The location was great, just a short ride down the channel to the lake. The outdoor space was perfect for relaxing outside!

Wawasee fun

The location is really nice. The unit we rented didn't have central air, just a wall unit that was rather noisey so the we shut bedroom doors and during the one rainy evening we had, the kids had the TV cranked way up to hear it. Overall a good property that was very clean.

Long Weekend at Wawasee

We had a wonderful time at New Kid in Town. Anjum was a great host - even helping me drop the boat in the water and allowing us to keep the trailer on property for our stay. It was great being on the channel - keeping the boat safe from the wave action on a busy weekend - while still being on the water. Having a gas grill just outside the back door worked great for cooking out, and the fire-pit area was perfect to sit and talk. We will be back!

Family Time

My family enjoyed a great time together even though the weather did not want to cooperate as much as we would have liked. The property premises is clean and very well cared for. The kitchens and bathrooms are very nice as seen in the pictures. The owner was extremely generous in providing parking spaces for my adult children’s vehicles and also for boat trailer (off-site).

Dirty place. All the guys we stayed with got bit by bugs/ spiders inside the property. All the paddles were lost for the lake toys, stains on bed sheets. Was told we would get a ride on the pontoon boat, but that never happened.

The most inconsiderate and a horrible guest we have ever hosted, Asking for a partial refund even prior to arriving due to your flight delay. Then asking for another refund because the place was too small for 6 grown adult mails when you had the option to rent a second adjacent unit. Requesting us to allow your group to sit an use our boat at 1.30 AM, THE WATER TOYS AND BOAT RENTAL ARE NOT a part of the rental agreement . You were a disgrace to your Company Brightspeed that you were representing to make door to door sales call . We never criticize our guests ever but you certainly take the cake.

Maybe it was just because it was off season?

The owner was very friendly and helpful. Idon't doubt that they will rectify everything in this review. But with that said, the property could use a little work. There were a lot of cob webs and the sheets and blankets were not clean. The instruction sheet left was from what looked to be a lease and had personal notes written on it and none of the important information was filled out. There were dirty cups in the cabinet with lipstick stains and we only found one keurig pod in the cabinet, would have been nice to have some coffee given the price. I'm assuming it was just because it was off season and they probably weren't expecting guests. Great potential, but again, for the price we expected more.

I did have our cleaning service come in prior to your stay and I provided them with your feedback to ensure this does not happen again. I can ensure you that all of our linens and towels are cleaned after each and every guest. If allowed to host your next stay on Lake Wawasee I would be more than happy to offer you a discount (subject to availability and no holiday weekends during peak season) to make it right. Again, I am truly sorry your experience did not meet your expectations.

Canal side retreat opening onto a wonderful lake

Communication with the owners was 100% perfect. Info was sent well in advance and any issues/questions I had were answered w/in minutes. We ran into two of them one night and they were lovely. Fabulous for being able to pull up our boat and park it right outside on a calm and little trafficked canal. We happily utilized the hot tub and fire pit - we even used the side yard to set up our own badminton net, which was fun. The house itself was adequate for our needs regarding size and comfort and it was well cleaned. Downsides: Mosquitoes were out in force! The dryer took 2-3 cycles to dry a single bathing suit and three "towel" cycles to dry a single towel - something needs to be looked at there. The soap dispenser of the washer was in need of a significant cleaning as well. Very loud (but also effective) air conditioners in the LR and a BR. There's also a large VERY soft spot in the floor right outside the bathroom/on the way to one of the bedrooms. Bath exhaust fan was useless. Overall we were very happy, but there's room for improvement.

Great experience for first time on vrbo

My new husband and I booked a couples honeymoon trip with our friends. Communication with anjum was great. The place was clean and in good shape. He even let us take his boat we rented early... would definitely reccomend!!! Thanks for making sure we had what we needed Anjum. We had a great time!!!!

Great weekend away!

This was a completely problem free experience from start to finish. Communication with the owner was great. We enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. We did not use the tiki bar, but I'm certain that would have been great as well. Our only complaint is having to leave and go home. :)

Coming Back

We were only able to stay one night but the owner was welcoming and flexible with our change of plans. We will definitely be back with our children and boat. I loved the coffee!! Thank you! One addition, wine glasses but I know if I asked the owner he would have ran some of his own over.

Ogden Island stay

We had a nice 3 night stay at this property. Enjoyed the fire pit! Kitchen and bathroom have been newly redone. The beds were comfortable. My only comment would be that the kitchen is not very well stocked, if you want to do much cooking.
