VÄLKOMMEN TILL CARVER HOUSE a. k.a "KOKENS LAND" HUS

Ursprungligen en del av en stor mejeriproduktion, Carver House byggdes 1803 och totalrenoverades 2008. Förutom den 4 000 kvm hemmet, innehåller 1. 85 hektar stor egendom en stor häst ladugård, mjölkskola, antik tegel rökhus och mjölk hus. Hemmet ligger i den pittoreska, New England byn Rupert, VT, strax nordväst om Manchester.

Efter renoveringen användes hemmet som uppsättning för syndikerad PBS-TV-matlagning, Cook's Country, värd av kockkocken Christopher Kimball. Som sådan är det professionella köket välutrustade med DCS-intervall och ugnar och ett komplett utbud av matlagningsutrustning och apparater. Den första våningen vardagsrum, stor matsal, wraparound och inskärmade verandor och uteplats uteplats, gör hemmet till en idealisk plats för stora familjesammankomster.

Carver House sover 10 bekvämt i sina 4 sovrum - alla med queen size-sängar, och 2 med ytterligare en tvilling. Luftmadrasser kan användas för ytterligare två gäster vid behov. De 2 fulla badmen har vackert kaklade duschar och en, en antik björnkluka badkar. Vermont Reunion

Ideally located for us, beautifully updated and maintained. Everything we could have wanted was there for an extended family week long visit including fresh flowers in vases, gorgeous gardens and protected sitting areas. We were delighted with our hosts who are easily available and flexible. We definitely would recommend and plan to repeat.

Amazing!

Wow! That was our first reaction when we pulled up to the house! This stop was in the middle of a 10-day trip, and my family wanted to cancel our other plans and just stay here. The house is gorgeous, the property is stunning, and Sarah and Brett were awesome! We truly enjoyed our stay here and would love to visit again!

Stunning! Cozy!

Just perfect! From the moment we drove up to the house! It was festive and fun. We came for the leaves and a small town vibe and this house took it to a new level. We’ve never stayed in a better house. Loved the vintage vibe and all the personal touches. The property manager had placed fresh flowers throughout the house for us. The kitchen was amazing and made for some fun cooking. The property was unbeatable! We plan to come back!

Can’t wait to go back

Cannot wait to get back there. Bonus it was located next to my Cousins house. It made my mom’s funeral much easier to handle. Brett and Sarah are wonderful and know how to make a rental a home for the stay down to the littlest details. Thanks so much for a wonderful VT trip.

Amazing home and property

What an amazing stay we had in West Rupert at this incredible home. Kitchen is phenomenal. All it is cracked up to be. The owners are excellent hosts: fresh eggs, a pie, cookies, a bon fire made for us on the second night. History and modernity all in one. First time to Vermont. Can't wait to go back and hopefully stay here again.

What a wonderful 4th of July Holiday with Family WE ALL fell in LOVE with this country farm house. CHARMED and DELIGHTED by the unmatched hospitality of owners Brett and Sarah. The beautiful gardens were an unexpected summer sensation enhancing not only the our days but our romantic fun filled evenings surrounded by fields of dancing fire flies !!! Did I mentioned the wonderful nightly bonfires and unmatched hospitality BRAVO SARAH & BRETT !!!!! And, SEE YOU SOON !!!

The house was lovely and comfortable as were the grounds and surrounding countryside. We enjoyed the space but were frustrated and surprised with the hidden fees we found out about only after booking.

Quaint and modern commodious property

We loved our stay over a long holiday weekend. The house and property were better than we even expected. It’s a historic house updated with modern conveniences. The kitchen was a highlight. Our group of two families with nine people loved it. There was plenty of space. The layout was great. The hosts were friendly. The cleaning was immaculate. The property epitomized rustic, historic luxury. Our two families were there for four days and we’re already talking about going back either next winter or even in summer. It was great value even at slightly more distance to skiing than some other places. We’d do it again.

Amazing chef's kitchen

The house and property are beautiful. Big dining room connected to the kitchen makes cooking and serving easy. We enjoyed the big living room with amazing fireplace. All four bedrooms were lovely. The two bathrooms were roomy and we had plenty of hot water for showers. Loved waking up in the morning, looking out the window and seeing chickens, not to mention the beautiful mountain views. There is a path just out back where you can take a walk. The location was handy to many country stores and the outlets in Manchester are not far away. We would recommend this place and we would definitely book again. The owner, Sarah, answered our messages right away, never had to wait long for an answer. She could not do enough for us.

Perfect.

This home is the old farmhouse you envy- and covet. Renting, check-in and check out were quick and easy. The house is well equipped, including the firewood for the fireplace! We were lucky enough to meet the caretakers- and learn some history of the home. They also gave us tons of local suggestion for shopping, and dining! This was easily one of the best homes we’ve rented. If we ever have the need to rent again in the area, we would do it in a heartbeat!

Lovely home in beautiful location

Everything in this home was top notch—from the high caliber appliances, and the comfortable beds to the fully stocked kitchen with more than enough dishes etc to make meals for our extended family of nine. The hosts were extremely helpful, responsive, and cordial, providing us with delicious fresh bread and pastries! I Highly recommend this property as one of the top two out of more than 2 dozen rentals over the last 10 years.

Gorgeous and spacious. Excellent property.

We were pleasantly surprised....it felt bigger than the pictures make the property look! Just perfect for our group of teen kids and adults. Great location, not far from Manchester. We are a ski group, the fireplace was going most of the time. We also enjoyed the fully equipped kitchen. Neat, clean. The owners thought of everything. We are old house people and this is a gem with modern updates. We would go back!

Beautiful home in quite corner of Vermont

Hosts are very inviting and nice people. The house is spacious and comfortable. The screened-in porch with table was a great place to eat and relax. Lots of extra linens and towels. Enjoyed spending time around the fire pit and used it for cooking a seafood dinner one night and steaks another. Sarah was thorough in providing detailed answers to our questions. She shared a list of local merchants to provide seafood, meats, pastries, fresh baked bread, dairy items, and a self-pick apple orchard. We used the 6 burner gas cooktop and 2 ovens with the aforementioned ingredients to prepare a feast. Sarah was very helpful in providing details on what ingredients and equipment were available in the kitchen. (Due to COVID, the pantry did not have many items stocked.) We found several hiking trails for all skill levels nearby and she recommended some scenic drives for fall color. We would whole heartedly recommend staying at the Carver House.
