Splendid!!

This cabin is the best home rental we have stayed in! They have everything to enjoy the lake and your stay in their beautiful lakeside cabin. Touches of home everywhere including the beautifully landscaped yard. I can’t say enough good things about this special property we enjoyed so much. A close drive to Maine attractions in every direction. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat from “the real world”. Absolutely splendid!

We had an amazing vacation at this beautiful home! The setting on Phillips Lake was exquisite and we enjoyed using the kayaks provided by the host. The cabin was well-stocked and well-maintained - absolutely one of the best places we have ever stayed in. Highly recommend!

Beautiful cabin on the lake

Wonderful cabin on a beautiful lake ~45 min from Acadia National Park/Bar Harbor. We stayed here with our 3 young children and the hosts were excellent. We can confidently say this is the cleanest VRBO we’ve ever encountered, and their communication combined with the ease of check-in/out made it an incredible experience. The lake was an added bonus, and we were able to swim/kayak/canoe with ease. If you’re traveling to Acadia you should absolutely book this property.

Perfect sunset views!

Beautiful lake view and cozy cabin. Had everything we needed. Loved using the kayaks and fire pit when we returned from being out and about. Bangor was close for groceries and dinner out. Would highly recommend and would return when back in the area.

Beautiful home on phillips lake

Loved our stay in this beautiful home. Was pleasantly surprised. Host Mike was awesome. Very attentive and responded quickly to our emails. This property was well equipped. We needed nothing. Location on phillips lake was a plus. It is only a 45 minute ride to Bar Harbor and Acadia national park.. we are hoping to come back in the summer

This property is amazingly beautiful and was perfect for our family adventures. The property is clean, and has plenty of space for a family to relax after a day of hiking and adventuring. We would highly recommend staying at this beautiful home.

Wonderful house and perfect location

Such a lovely, well appointed house with everything we needed for a comfortable, relaxing week at the lake. The views from the house are gorgeous, the lake is beautiful, and Mike was a very gracious host. Communication was excellent, and the welcome-gifts were so thoughtful. The house is conveniently located for day trips to Acadia or Bar Harbor. We couldn’t have asked for more. Hope to be back!

Beautiful Lakeview property!

This was our first family trip to Maine, including my husband and I and our 20 year old son. The property was clean, comfy, and had a beautiful view of the lake. In addition to enjoying the lake with kayaks and a paddle board, we visited Bar Harbor/Acadia National Park and Camden. The house was central to both locations. The welcome snacks were much appreciated and our host was excellent 😊

Peaceful and relaxing

From the moment we walked in we could tell the cabin was incredibly clean and well appointed, no details unnoticed. Everything was well stocked and the kids really loved the gaming systems! The outside spaces gave everyone a spot to relax and rest while soaking in the birds and nature. Very quiet neighborhood and peaceful. The welcome goodies were deeply enjoyed by everyone and we even went and bought some additional ones to take home! The entire experience exceeded our expectations and was very relaxing and comfortable. We’d love to come back again Seriously the best VRBO we’ve ever had. Don’t hesitate to book a stay here!

Beautiful cabin on the lake. We had everything we needed. Enjoyed the outdoor fire pit as well as the indoor fireplace. Kitchen was well stocked. Washer and dryer were much appreciated!

Everything we needed was there, anything we thought we would need was there. This was, by far, the best home we have rented. Our only regret on our vacation to Maine was not having more time in our schedule to fully enjoy the home, the kayaks, etc.

Wish we could have stayed longer

Could not have been more perfect. Owner went out of her way to welcome us and supply the over the top lovely gifts of snacks, wine, a candle, and even a beautiful bouquet of fresh flowers! Bed was super comfy, everything you needed was supplied in the log cabin. We loved having our glass of wine on the deck for happy hour and watching the sunset. House and landscaping is gorgeous! So convenient to Bangor, Ellsworth, and Acadia. Lake is clear and pretty. Would love to stay here again.

Perfect

I and my husband visited Maine this fall to enjoy nature and go on hikes. Mike’s log cabin was a perfect place to stay at. The place was very clean, which is the most important thing for me to fully enjoy my vacation. The cabin is so cozy and pretty, we loved coming back to it after long hikes. We also enjoyed kayaking and the fire pit that Mike had ready for us. I would love to have an opportunity of coming back some day. Thank you Mile for being such an amazing host and for your thoughtful welcome gifts! My husband enjoyed maple candy so much!

One week is not enough! Beautiful location!

Upon arrival we were absolutely blown away at first impression of property and the interior of the house was amazing! The host had arrival gifts placed on kitchen counter. Felt at home right away after a long travel. Simply beautiful location..clarity of the lake was amazing. The water was a little chilly in June for snorkeling for this old dude, but fishing and canoeing around the lake was awesome! The house was clean, comfortable and well stocked. Thank you Mike for your hospitality!! We would love to come again and spend more time.

Wonderful!

Our family loved staying at this property. It is right on the lake with a beautiful view. The property owners were wonderful, greeting us when we arrived and had chips, salsa and a bottle of wine waiting for us inside. There were a few rainy days during our visit, but the house has a great selection of video games and board games to choose from, as well as a gas fireplace to make you feel warm and cozy. We all enjoyed the firepit and kayaks. The house was immaculate, the kitchen had all the necessities, and the beds were very comfortable. Would definitely come back!

Enjoyable vacation on a lovely Maine lake

Had a lovely stay at this lakeside cabin. Views of the lake were fantastic, particularly seeing the cotton-candy colored sunsets. The cabin is very clean, well stocked (fully stocked kitchen, many options for entertainment for all ages, lots of clean linens and towels) and well situated near Ellsworth and Bangor. We were able to enjoy a number of delicious family meals, and even got fresh steamed lobster from a location that the owner recommended. The fire pit was fun to use while we were there, and there are kayaks to take out and enjoy on the lake. The owner was particularly attentive when we told him we were traveling with infant twins. He was able to secure some toys and port-a-cribs for us to use, so we didn’t have to travel with so much stuff (as traveling with infants is already a lot!) Would highly recommend this cabin, and would absolutely consider another stay here in the future.

Nothing short of Perfection

Our family of five stayed here over the week of the Fourth of July. I don’t know that there are enough positive adjectives to adequately describe our stay here. When I say they thought of everything, I am not exaggerating. From tissues and foil and spices to beach towels and kayaks and bug spray. This house is fully loaded with anything you thought you needed and things you didn’t know you did. Mike is the most gracious host. When we arrived, there was a welcome basket full of Maine goodies and a detailed guide of local places to eat and visit. He responds to every message promptly and is willing to help out in any way. This place is gorgeous. The sunsets from the deck by the water were breathtaking We enjoyed kayaking around the lake and finding coves and cliffs to explore. There really is no need to leave the house but we wanted to explore Acadia which was less than hour from the house. PERFECT location!! I have NO doubt we will back. Best family vacation we have ever had!!

This home away from home is top notch!

Our family enjoyed this house for a week in May/June 2023. It is one of the best VRBOs we have stayed in. It is very clean, comfortable, and has clear instructions for the amenities and extras in the house. There were plenty of clean dishes, silverware, glassware, and kitchen utensils (and all so clean we didn't feel the need to wash them before use.) The washer and dryer worked great and there were plenty of laundry detergent, dryer sheets, diswasher detergent, etc. We were greeted with nice welcoming gifts along with great recommendations for local restaurants that were delicious. The property owner was friendly and easy to reach if needed; however, we didn't really need to contact him because everything was taken care of with the home. The location of the home was perfect for enjoying the beautiful sunrises and sunsets on the lake, using the two kayaks provided at the home, or going in several directions within a half-hour drive: Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, Bangor, etc. We've rented several places through VRBO. This one doesn't just feel like a rental; it feels like a home away from home!

Wonderful!!!

My family and I just enjoyed a beautiful 8 day stay at this property and it is wonderful! The cabin is clean and has a great open floor plan downstairs that provides beautiful views of the lake and trees. Inside is everything you could want or need to prepare great meals, relax by the fireplace and watch anything you can think of on tv. Movies, video games, books, board games - it’s all there with great variety! Outside is beautifully kept with flower beds, a firepit area that was so fun for chatting, reminiscing and making smores. We took the canoe and kayaks out on the lake and it was pure relaxation. The lake is crystal clear - my husband caught fish off the shoreline (sm mouth bass) and he and I even took an unintended dip in the lake (very refreshing LOL) Walks in the morning are quiet and invigorating. The property is a perfect location. You get the natural feel of being in the woods in Maine - but a 15 min drive and you hit stores, restaurants, etc. We got live lobster from Jones Lobster Co that were delicious! As we were leaving we stopped at the Eagle’s Nest restaurant in Brewer on our way to the airport and the lobster rolls are out of this world! Huge, fresh and perfectly made. Definitely a ‘must do’! Mike and Sue were the best hosts! Very accommodating and helpful - we’ve been renting through VRBO for many years and I would have to say Mike is top notch! We will definitely be returning and look forward to our next Maine adventure. Thank you so much Mike and Sue for the amazing hospitality and for sharing your home with us. Just a great experience from start to finish - and truly gives the Maine experience!!
