Som en av de mer rymliga fastigheterna på Anini Beach erbjuder 'Hale La'Au Pohaku' (House of Wood and Rock) och 'Hale Ohana' 4200 kvadratmeter kombinerat inomhusgolv, plus 500 kvadratmeter av två täckta lanaier utspridda över två hus på en privat tomt. Denna fem-sovrum, fyra och en halv badrum gård ligger bara 225 meter från havet med en privat väg till stranden utanför ytterdörren.

Huvudhem -
Gå in i paradiset när det öppna stora rummet har trägolv, dörrar och skåp i Koa, samt ett 24 fot högt anpassat tak i Hawaii-träkatedralen, med takfönster, marmor och granit. Var och en av de tre sovrummen har en terapeutisk madrass, sängkläder av hög kvalitet och kuddalternativ. Med takfläktar i alla rum kommer du att somna till havsbrisen med lätthet. Anpassad belysning i hela hemmet ger fantastiska semesterbilder. De främre och bakre lanorna har vacker delvis utsikt över havet respektive bergen. Landskapsarkitekturen har ett överflöd av tropiska planteringar och blommor som lockar fåglar och djurliv.

Den stora master-sviten har en king size-säng och ett marmorbadrum med dubbla fåfängar och en lyxig dusch. Det finns ett privat marmorfodrad jacuzzi®-rum med en andra ingång (från baksidan lanai). Var och en av de två stora rummen erbjuder direkt tillgång till separata lanor genom skärmad dörrar. Var och en har en dubbelsäng och en bäddsoffa med en extra tvåmadrass under och de delar ett stort marmorbadrum och dusch. Det stora, fullt utrustade köket har träskåp i Koa, rostfria apparater, bänkskivor i granit och toppfaciliteter för intim måltid förberedning och matlagning. Med en sex-sits bar och åtta-sits matbord finns det gott om matsal inuti. På den främre Lanai kan du äta och känna havbrisen medan du tittar på palmerna och havets vågor eller njuta av den privata Lanai på baksidan.

Det stora sovrummet är en svit med full dusch, egen ingång till baksidan och framsidan av huset och en egen våt bar. I sviten ingår ett separat vardagsrum med tillgång till utsidan, som har en TV-yta och en extra bäddsoffa för två. Totalt har detta hem två queen-size sängar och en queen-size bäddsoffa. Det nyutrustade köket har original Koa träskåp, granitbänkar och rostfria apparater. Ät i baren med fyra sittplatser, eller använd den externa tropiska matplatsen för sex och grilla.

Beware! Not all as it seems!

The main house is very nice but be aware the guest house is below standard. Of course the best part is access across the street to Anini Beach which we enjoyed immensely.

Great location and amenities but hot despite external breeze.

Everything was perfect as far as the house, amenities, and location but we and our guests were pretty hot at the property despite the fans. The trade winds don’t seem to provide the same ventilation on the linais or inside the house as well as I’ve experienced with other similar non-ac having facilities. It may have just been the week we were there.

Great Location

The location is across the street from the beach. We had 4 families. The only access to the main house is a flight of stairs. It was hot during the day because there is no AC, which is common for Hawaii. If 1 family books both homes then there is room for 3 car easily. We had car drama because the listing only says 2 cars and we had two families. We could have easily fit another car. The accommodations provided privacy for each family and a gathering place. The yard is incredible! We loved this home! There are a TON of camp chairs and paddle board and life jackets left by other guests. I am sure it’s not guaranteed to be there but we did not need to make a Walmart run to get beach supplies. Amazing house!

Location is 6 stars!!

Directly across form the most pristine, clam, beach. Although it's a public beach it feels very private. House is beautiful. Great room is very spacious was great for a big group. Great showers, comfortable beds. Kitchen could use some updating/upgrades. Utensils, pots, pans etc we're pretty basic.

Perfect Hawaii Experience

Me and my friends had an amazing time staying here. Everything from the location to the amenities to the house itself all made for an unforgettable island vacation. If I ever remodel my home bathroom I'm basing it off the master bath here.. The jacuzzi tub was tragically inoperable, but still managed to be one of my favorite parts functioning as just a normal oversized tub. Some things that you should know before booking though; most of the doors and windows are just slats and screens, so noise privacy is minimal, and the area is full of wild roosters, which are cute, but be ready to wake up when they do if you don't bring any earplugs.

Great location and nice house, but some issues

It is a bit challenging to write this review. There are some excellent things, but also a few issues that keep this place from being a five star house. First, some of the excellent things: - The house is very close (2 minute walk) to a very nice beach and we love the north shore of Kauai. It is lush and beautiful. - The kitchen is well stocked, although we found the main frying pan (which is not non-stick) very hard to clean. - The rooms, including the bedrooms, were large and the furniture / beds were comfortable. The second building with two of the bedrooms was very nice and well equipped. - There were lots of fans - There was more equipment for the beach than you could ever ask for. Chairs, coolers, bogey boards, large stand up paddle boards, water shoes, snorkeling gear, lots of towels, ... It was everything we could ask for and more. It was like a candy store for our kids - The front porch is very nice and you can feel the ocean breezes (note that because of the reef, which results in good snorkeling on Anini beach, causes the waves the break far out from shore. Therefore, you don't "hear" the ocean waves breaking on the shore, even though the ocean is so close to the house - It was very clean - the local support people were very responsive, even on a Sunday. There were a number of things that were less positive: - None of the screen doors had latches and the front door screen would not even stay closed. - there were no instructions for the dishwasher (we never got it to work) - the first impression of the house is poor, the tiles on the back porch are very worn and paint needs touch up on the back stairs and then when we walked into the house it was very hot. - The refrigerator is very slow producing ice. We ended up buying bags of ice because it didn't produce enough ice for a large group - Even with lots of fans running, trying to circulate the outside air into the big main room of the house, it was warm during the day (hotter than it was outside). This might not be an issue at other times of the year, but was a issue for us in the middle of the summer when we were there. - The partial ocean view, is very partial. You get small glimpses through the foliage. The driveway is quite narrow and a bit of a challenge to back up in because of the lush foliage (particularly in the vans we had rented) In many ways this is a great house, but as discussed above there are some annoying details that didn't really meet our expectations, particularly given the price point. One small additional detail that people might find helpful. The beach is much smaller, but does not entirely disappear, at high tide. So playing on the beach is a little more limited at high tide, but we also found that snorkeling was better at high tide (the water was actually a little shallow for snorkeling at low tide)

Beautiful Island

Loved the proximity to Anini Beach and fantastic snorkeling. Lots of beautiful fish at the reef and saw several turtles.

Almost Perfect

Our family, consisting of 7 adults and 3 younger children, rented both houses on the property--Anini Pohaku (the front house) and Anini Ohana (the back house). Location is ideal. The property is right across the street from the beach access. The main house is open and spacious and was great for entertaining the entire family. The house was well equipped in terms of appliances and housewares. There was a full supply of recreational gear and beach equipment in the basement. The rear house was open, spacious and well equipped. Neither house had air conditioning, which is not unusual for Anini properties, but were equipped with fans. This proved to be a problem in the main house, but not the rear house. Two of the fans did not work which made the situation worse. When we arrived the front house was closed and locked and not all fans were on. The house was oppressively hot and never became totally comfortable. It was never possible to secure the front house when we were out because the house would have been unlivable if kept totally closed for any period. The rear house had all fans running and was more open when we arrived. The conditions in the rear house were comfortable for the entire stay. The back of the main house, which is the space between the two houses, was a nice lawn area with a BBQ area under the house. The back of the rear house had a lovely garden area which proved to be unusable because of mosquitos and wasps. If the ventilation issues in the main house were resolved we would definitely return to the estate.
