George's River House - På Methow River och minuter till Downtown Winthrop!

George's River House (en laglig, licensierad nattlig hyra med ett nuvarande Okanogan County hälsotillstånd enligt lag) är lika mycket ett hus som ett arbete för industriell konst. Huset är byggt runt en stor betongvattenväg, som ursprungligen var en del av Winthrop vattenförsörjning. Den bunker är nu golvet i ett övre sovrum, samt vardagsrummets väggar och ett andra sovrum på bottenvåningen. Det är ett handbyggt och handgjorda riverfront nöje.

Ligger ca 1/3 mile nedströms om downtown Winthrop och dess ikoniska gamla väst strandpromenad .... det är nära, men privat. Detta är en "en av en sort erfarenhet" att inte gå över.

Sovrummen har queen size-sängar, med extra sovande på en tvilling / full våningssäng. Huvudgolvmästaren har eget bad och uteplats med utsikt över floden. Fullt kök, internet, unik vedspis, golvvärme, uteplats med picknickbord och liten propangrill.

Weekend stay at the river house

The house was lovely and unique, a great fit to enjoy the town of Winthrop and the surrounding outdoor pursuits. The house was well stocked for our group of 6. We would definitely stay there again!

Wonderful, relaxing home

Stayed in this home for a family get away. So relaxing, love the river access, proximity to town and trails. Pizza across the parking lot was great for a noprep dinner. Thank you for a wonderful family get away!

Charming, artsy property unlike any other

George's place is a unique property full of creative details, located right on the river. Lots of art, lovely outdoor sitting spaces, and has all the necessary basics.

Cold plunge

The cabin was unique and rustic. We enjoyed the local brewery and 2 days of heli-boarding at N. Cascade heli. Comfortable beds and nice size.

George's cabin has an interesting design, comfortable living space overlooking the river, and a well-equipped kitchen. Perfect for a weekend getaway. Recommended.

Serene and fresh

We were appreciative of the comfortable and artistic space that allowed the sound of the river below into our bedrooms . We were greeted by three deer that gently walked through this property down to the lower picnic area. The outdoor space made us feel secluded and yet we loved that we could walk to the town of Winthrop. Thank you for allowing us the stay

Great historic place on the Methow River

Upon arrival you're confused. Did I just rent somebody's ranch outbuildings?? But walk down the gravel path and what a great surprise. Teetering above the river is a spacious, uniquely appointed in a good way, comfortable with all the amenities place to run away from it all. And it has history too--the old original power house for the town of Methow. Cool place. Private, quiet, and outdoor spaces to relax by the river with a fun beverage. George was very quick to respond to our questions too. We'd go back. Thanks for the wonderful stay.

Girls trip

Walked through the gate and said "WOW." Pictures dont do it justice. Unique, comfortable, cozy, bright and airy with beautiful view of the river.plenty of outside seating areas. Beds were extremely comfy. Highly recommend Highway 20 Pizza just outside house. Spent Saturday morning at Twisp farmers market and then had fabulous breakfast at Cinnamon Twisp. Spent rest of the day shopping in Winthrop. Lots of cute stores and restaurants. Wanted to go across the street from house to barn cinema but just ran out of time. It was a PERFECT trip. We will be back and would love to stay in your house again. Thank you

Cool place on the River

This is a stylish cabin built into the hillside and hanging over the Methow River a short walk from town. The owner (and builder) has designed and decorated the place very tastefully with lots of concrete and iron, etc. and lots of thoughtful touches. This is clearly a loved place. The master bedroom is much bigger than expected and was comfortable. The kitchen is generally well stocked. (HInt: the silverware is in a secret drawer to the side of the island, and the skillets are hanging on the wall around the corner in the living room). There is a small but functional BBQ. There is indeed a picnic table on a platform down by the river, though you might find it splattered with bird poop. The trail down is serviceable but might be a challenge for some folks. You can access the river from there if you are desperate for a dip, but only over boulders. Although you share a parking lot with the pizza place (reasonably good food), the cabin is built down into the hillside and behind fences so you will have no violation of your privacty. Highly recommended.

Lovely spot for a lovely weekend.

Unique and very cool yet cozy space. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. And the location can’t be beat- within a minute you can be standing alongside the river or ordering pizza (with gf options!). Even though this place is right next to a busy pizza spot and other cabins, the entire weekend was quiet and felt secluded. Definitely recommend.

Unique Place on the River

Close to town and private. As others have mentioned, you are not sure when you first park. But the instructions are accurate and you quickly leave the parking lot behind to a quiet and comfortable setting. Upon arrival The key holder was jammed - it happens. The help was reasonably quick and the rest of the stay was great.

Fabulous Fall Getaway

Loved everything about this place!!! The setting is great, right at the river and very quiet! The house has history and is very eclectic while being so warm and very comfortable! Everthing you need! Master bedroom be is really comfortable and there is a small deck with table right over the river, perfect for happy hour!!!!
