Cherry Creek Retreat i Montana är ett 7 tunnland stort paket som ligger ovanför en av de högsta punkterna i Flatheads East Lake Shore. Fastigheten Bigfork ligger nära Glacier Park och omgiven av Flathead Valley-skönhet på alla sidor. Bakom är höga skogsklädda berg. Framför är den expansiva Flathead sjön med utmärkt fiske. Minuter bort är Flathead Lake med båtåtkomst i Yellow Bay State Park, Woods Bay och Bigfork. Det finns båt- och kajakuthyrning och guidat fluefiske. Den 3 våningar handgjorda hemsidan för stolpe och balkar har fantastisk utsikt från alla rum. Tre däck flyter från stora rum med franska dörrar. Trägolv, stenarbete och specialkonst ger ytterligare skönhet. Dessutom finns det två överflödiga stugor. Family vacation

The place was great. Loved the fruit trees and fish ponds on the property. The view was gorgeous and loved it was five minutes from the state park beach. The location was great, not far from Glacier, close to many activities, and close to restaurants. The house was fully stocked with lots of items. The house was comfortable and fit our family well. The area is fantastic with so much to do. We would recommend and stay again.

Great Base for exploring Flathead Lake and Glacier

Huge lot with fantastic back yard to enjoy a glass of wine in the afternoon/evening and a gorgeous deck view of the lake. Sleeping to the sounds of the stream was relaxing and the game room was great. The deck can be loud, buy when we wanted quiet we retreated to the great backyard.

Perfect cabin in the mountains

Charming, cozy cabin at a great location about 10 minutes from downtown Bigfork. Beautiful views of the lake and surrounding area from the three balconies. We really enjoyed the fire pit and the boys liked fishing in the small trout pond! Loved staying here and would recommend it to anyone wanting to visit Flathead Lake.

A DESTINATION IN ITSELF.

We were a group of 11, ranging from age 3 to 70's including 5 kids. We spent a day of our week in Montana just enjoying this cabin, the cherry, apple and other ripe fruit trees, feeding the trout and enjoying the surroundings. We enjoyed the beach and stream at the state park just 3 miles south. We lived on the deck. Just under an hour from West Entrance to the park, which was not a tough trip. Good grocery and restaurant options 5 (Woods Bay) to 15 (Bigfork) minutes away - we didn't even have to go to Kalispell for anything. Flathead Lake is beautiful and offers a number of recreation opportunities. Every one of my group was really pleased to be there.

Montana Vacation

My family stayed here to visit family and glacier park. The home has a beautiful view of flathead lake. The home is fully stocked with everything you can need for cooking and outdoor activities. Even bear spray which was nice since there was a bear roaming the area at the time. My family had a great time feeding the fish and picking cherries. The one challenge was there is no a/c in the home. The temperature was running around 95 while we there.

Great experience to enjoy

We all had a great time! House was well equipped with everything we needed, close to Glacier and other fun activities. Backyard gave us space to spread out and catching cherries on season a huge bonus. Totally enjoyed the month we were there. Highly recommend to other guests.

Loved this place

I highly recommend staying here. The house was very clean, had lots of room and was stocked with everything we needed. The property was beautiful; we loved feeding the fish in the pond. The view over the lake was amazing. The property owners were so accomodating and kind.

Beautiful home and property with issues

The view was beautiful, the beds comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The fish ponds were a hit with the grandchildren who loved feeding the fish. The cherries and raspberries were wonderful. The location was perfect and we enjoyed our time at Yellow Bay and Glacier National Park. Our major issue was that the house had mice. The owner agreed to a 10% discount on the property, but the issue was not resolved during our week-long stay. Mouse feces were evident in the house and on the outside decks and railings. Traps in the house did not appear to be catching the mice that we would see running around on the second floor in the evenings. Owner was aware of the problem, attempted to plug holes and catch mice before our stay and thought the problem was resolved. Also, one of the first floor bedrooms had a cat urine smell. The upstairs bathtub fabric surround appeared to be dirty or rusty, and either soap scum was evident or the surface of the tub was damaged. There was a small piece of glass left on the kitchen floor under the cabinets that resulted in a minor foot injury. If the mouse problem had been taken care of and a few minor cleaning issues resolved, it would have been a perfect stay.

Flathead Lake

Property was big and spacious, cherry trees galore and ponds were nice. For us, it was a very lengthy drive to everything we were scheduled for, but that is on us. The actual property was very well stocked and clean! As many places in this area, there was no air conditioning, but we loved the place!

Great family/friends retreat

Great place. Please replace stove. My son-in law and daughter are professional chefs. The oven only heated to 350 degrees. My husband did NOT get his 69th special birthday cake. Better knives too!

Beautiful Property

What a wonderful family vacation! All four generations had a great relaxing time. Kids really enjoyed the fish ponds and the creek. Even enjoyed the family recreation room and the sleeping loft. Plenty of bedspace for 6 adults and 3 kids. Highly recommended.

Nice Time Past Season

We stayed mid September when things were slowing down for the season. Weather was nice except occasional smoke from multiple forest fires. We enjoyed the ripe pears and apples. The yard was restful and pleasant. Didn’t see any bears. Overall it was a great time for our family. We would love to stay here again.

Trip to remember for the ages

Unable to express the beauty and pleasure of the property and surroundings. Please read my entry in the guest book at property for things to do... my family ranging from 11 yrs to 54 yrs had a amazing time and will Remer it forever. I will come back. The house alone was worth the trek to Montana from NJ. I advise anyone that loves scenic skylines. Beautiful water, nature, fresh fruit at your fingertips and various areas to tour, shop and enjoy scenic excursions that can't be found elsewhere. Take this trip and rent this property and u will not be sorry. Property clean, inviting. Well stocked and great communication between owners and tenants.....thx for the trip

Cozy cabin, great for family

Spacious but cozy with plenty of space for our family to be together. Great location for outings on Flathead Lake, hiking in Jewel Basin, and access to Glacier NP. Penny & Letty were wonderful communicators.

We are Jim and Penny and we love northwest Montana! This property has been a cherished place for our family for 40+ years. It really is amazing and renewing. In the 1980s our visits here were to see Grandpa and the cousins. We would stay in one of the small cabins at the place and our children loved it! Later we became owners and in 2005 built our dream retirement home. We called it Cherry Creek Retreat because of the beautiful stream that originates and runs through the land and cherry trees. Cherry Creek Retreat has continued to be a special place for our family and friends to gather and even to have weddings and reunions. In 2006 we started renting out our home to vacation renters. We are fortunate to have great neighbors and family members nearby who help out and we also enjoy our many conversations with renters. We are happy to say they have found the place to be amazing too!

Varför värden valde detta boende

Grandpa Jim was raised nearby and had a dream to find the perfect property on the Flathead Lake before he retired in the 1970s. He knew the land well and what he wanted. It was to be a place with it's own natural spring, a view of the lake, good for growing cherries and putting in fish ponds, bordered by forest, close to town but with the feel of being in nature. He found this place and it is indeed special! We fell in love with it ourselves years ago, and the feeling only grew as time went on. Now we know others feel the same. Since we've built the Log House and let the property be used as a vacation rental, we hear from so many, "This place is heaven on earth!"

Ever changing growth of nature and food! We have cherry, apple, pear and plum trees. A raspberry patch. Fish ponds. Some years we plant a vegetable garden. You may pick and eat from all that is there. Kids love to play here. Families love to gather in spots all over the property and talk or play games. We're not in town, but close enough to get there easily. The scenery is spectacular! The log home is very nice. There are also the fixed-up original cabins that we occassionally let larger groups use.
