Lyxig stuga belägen på Isle of Purbeck

Tanners Cottage byggdes 2014 på marken bakom den gamla bybutiken och bredvid där det gamla garveriet tidigare låg. Stugan är en fristående fastighet med en sluten privat trädgård.

När du kommer in på fastigheten hittar du en mysig hall som leder till ett modernt fullt utrustat kök, och köket har också en matplats med utsikt över trädgården. Öppna de franska dörrarna på uteplatsen så hittar du en utomhus sittplats för att koppla av och njuta av naturen.

Ett tvättstuga strax utanför köket med frys och tvättmaskin finns också bredvid bottenvåningen garderoben.

Loungen ligger intill köket och har återigen franska dörrar som leder ut mot trädgården. Loungen levereras komplett med en timmerbrännare för de kallare kvällarna. En smart-TV med Netflix och catch-TV finns också.

På övervåningen finns 2 sovrum, sovrummet har en lyxig king size-säng och det andra sovrummet har två små singlar som kan omvandlas till en king size på begäran.

Beläget på Isle of Purbeck (inte riktigt en ö utan en halvö vid Dorset-kusten) och bara en kort bilresa till många lokala stränder är det ett perfekt läge att koppla av och njuta av det generellt varmare väder som sydkusten har. Parkering för en bil i anslutning till stugan.

Fantastic cottage at the gateway to the Isle of Purbeck, just what we were looking for. The cottage and facilities were as described and even exceeded our high expectations. The check in via the key safe was simple and efficient and the standard of the kitchen equipment was very high indeed. Many comments in the guest book mentioned repeat visits and we can see why. The owners were very responsive to questions and nothing was too much trouble.The village pub has a good selection of beers, friendly staff and a good menu. Whilst the short walk into Wareham is easy (even for us old timers) and has a good selection of pubs, tea rooms and restaurants. We were lucky to drop on one of the Wareham Wednesday family evening with stalls, bands and fireworks, that run through August.An added bonus was the good bus service with stops just outside which gave us options to explore without the car.

Wir sind mit hohen Erwartungen angereist und waren nach wenigen Minuten ernüchtert: Müll nicht geleert, Haare im Bett, tote Fliegen, untere Toilette schmutzig, Müllbehälter defekt, Tisch nicht abgewischt, Krümel in der Mikrowelle, ein sehr schmutziges Handtuch, alte Handtücher wurden scheinbar hängengelassen, Blumen (welche offensichtlich nicht für uns waren) standen in einem Rest Brakwasser. Hier war wahrscheinlich nicht gereinigt worden?Auch der Router funktionierte erst nach einem Neustart. Eigentlich war die Wohnung toll eingerichtet es war alles da was man braucht. Aber der erste Eindruck hat es leider kaputt gemacht.

A very comfortable stay and very well equipped. We could not want for any thing more, wonderfully quiet. The location is also very good, close to Studland, Corfe, Swanage, Durlston Country Park, Worth Matravers. We walked a lot. In addition, the hosts were very generous with essentials in the fridge when we arrived.

A super cottage in a great location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this spacious, comfortable, clean, quiet, warm cottage. It is in a great location. We walked into Wareham, where we had a good meal at The Old Granary. We had a meal at The Kings Arms, a few minutes walk from the cottage, which was superb. We spent two days at RSPB Arne, which is only a short drive away.

A really nice property in a quiet setting

We stayed for a week as a couple and were very pleased with the overall layout of the cottage, it’s location in the village with the pub/restaurant 200 metres away and Wareham itself just a 10 minute walk. Set in a quiet corner, it was a great base to explore the many attractions in the area. It was clean, comfortable and well stocked with essentials (and some goodies). In fact, the description in the listing is all but 100% accurate. A nice change! One we definitely recommend and will stay at again.

Friends weekend away

Just a few words of thanks for our stay at Tanners Cottage , it was an absolute delight,we couldn't have asked for more , beautifully clean, so comfortable and provided all we needed for our weekend away together .. Great location, the short walk to pub which was friendly, walked into Wareham with lots of little shops,quayside, markets and plant of places to eat and drink fabulous. Can't wait until we book another stay at Tanners Cottage!

The cottage is very well equipped, and very comfortably furnished. It is exactly what we hoped for from the description. It enhanced our vacation visit to the Dorset coast, because it was a pleasure to return to after a day of exploring.

Splendid location for peaceful stay

Good sized cottage that you could actually live in. Excellent location for nearby amenities. Very quiet and peaceful. I would return to Tanners Cottage if staying in the area.

Fantastic stay in a lovely cottage in a great location

We loved our stay inTanners Cottage. It was super clean, and beautifully furnished and comfortable. The kitchen had all the basics and more, plenty of crockery, cutlery, pots/pans, spices, foil, cling film, tea, etc, etc. We were welcomed with delicious locally made sourdough bread and butter, jam, biscuits, milk, and more! A week of rainy weather curtailed our walks, but the comfy cottage, unique Wareham shops and local made the holiday special. The Kings Arms in Stoborough is 5 minutes walk away and has great gin and beer. And The Salt Pig in Wareham has an amazing deli selection to bring home, as well as fresh local fish and cheese. The garden and patio could do with attention, as they both have weeds and the patio could use a power wash. But that is a small thing, if I'm being picky.

By far the most superior let in the area

Immaculately clean as always and well laid out. Location is ideal for exploring the local areas of Swanage and Weymouth. Bonus of having your own parking space and the little food extras the owners leave is a lovely touch. Having relatives living close by made it even better. Ideal for a family and highly recommend this property.

Perfect Summer Holiday

Enjoyed a fantastic 2 weeks at Tanners Cottage. Everything about the property was as described. The location was perfect for a short walk into Wareham which has lots of excellent shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes. The weather just enhanced the holiday, with plenty to still do had it not been as good. Would highly recommend and would love to return next year.
