Detta 3 bdrm / 2 bad charmiga och mysiga men eleganta men eleganta hem i stuga stil är precis vad du letar efter! Detta hem ligger i det önskvärda kvarteret i nordöstra Pasadena och talar om komfort och värme från det ögonblick du går genom ytterdörren. Vardagsrummet är rymligt med massor av fönster och en öppen spis. Den formella matsalen har ett vackert bord med plats för upp till 8 och har franska dörrar som leder ut till den charmiga tegelstenverandan - ett perfekt ställe att njuta av ett glas saft medan du tar utsikt över bergen. Kökskåpet är soligt och ljust och ett underbart ställe att äta morgonkaffe. Tvättstugan är bekvämt belägen utanför köket. Det finns 2 bdrms båda med Queen size-sängar och ett 3: e sovrum fungerar som ett hålrum / tv-rum med 55-tums platt-TV med direkt-TV med vackra franska dörrar som leder till den charmiga uteplatsen. Det finns en queen size-bäddsoffa som drar ut för att sova 2. Underhållande är en glädje eftersom trädgården har en tegel uteplats perfekt för att äta utomhus och en frodig trädgård med fruktträd, rosor, 2 apelsinträd, citron- och granatäppleträd och ett underbart avokadoträd! Huset har ett säkerhetslarmssystem, trädgårdsmästare, wi-fi, DirectTV (betalas av ägaren) alla apparater - tvättmaskin, torktumlare, diskmaskin, bortskaffande, mikrovågsugn, spis, kylskåp ingår också. Ägaren täcker också alla verktyg: gas, el och vatten. (En cap per dag är inställd) Stora vandringsleder, fantastiska matställen i Pasadena och Altadena-området nära. Välkommen hem!

Gamla stan Pasadena och The Rose Bowl ligger bara några minuter bort ... Bara några minuter till 210 Fwy-ingången. Los Angeles ligger 10 mil söderut på 110 motorvägen, stränderna är 25 mil söder och väster. 20 minuter från Burbank flygplats.
Nära CalTech (2 miles!) och den berömda Huntington Gardens, 15 minuter från Santa Anita racerbana och Los Angeles Arboretum. Vi är bara 5 miles från Huntington Hospital och HRC Clinic. 12 minuter till JPL (Jet Propulsion Laboratory) och bara 7 miles till Art Center College of Design. Pasadena rådhus och konferenscenter ligger också bara 4 mil bort ...

Det finns också en Los Angeles tunnelbanestation mindre än en halv mil bort (Allen-stoppet på Gold Line) inom gångavstånd.

Weekend getaway

We really enjoyed our stay. I’m sorry we didn’t have more time to spend there. The whole place was very comfortable and beautifully restored. We live in a 1920’s house and love older homes. Marla did such a nice job with keeping so many of the original details while at the same time updating the important parts. The roses were in full bloom and lovely, as was the sweet smelling jasmine. Thank you for a quiet and comfortable place to lay our heads after a busy day.

We really enjoyed the Pasadena Cottage. The location is fantastic and lovely. Marla was very good at communicating with us. The property front and backyards are very nice to spend time in.

Just a wonderful experience, from start to finish. Marla is one of the best hosts we have met in all our travels, friendly, responsive and has thought of everything she could to make our stay more comfortable. The cottage was immaculate and indeed charming, decorated in a vintage style befitting a home in the "Bungalow Heaven" neighborhood of Pasadena, where I read that the craftsman homes there have earned a spot on the National Register of Historic Places! The neighborhood was quiet and safe. We especially loved the patio accessed through French doors, surrounded by Marla's beautiful rose gardens. We were in the area visiting our new grandson, and hope to return to this rental many times in the future!

We had the most wonderful stay at Marla‘s home in Pasadena. It is beautifully appointed and very comfortable. It was the perfect place from which to enjoy Thanksgiving with family and friends. And Marla is an awesome host.

Clean, quiet, roomy, nicely furnished, abundantly supplied and amenitized! Owner was very kind and communicative. The kitchen has everything. We were 3 adults and a 1 year-old so backyard (with fruit trees!) was a plus as was the playground within walking distance. Really felt like home here!

A wonderful place to stay in Pasadena.

Marla was a wonderful host. She provides some breakfast items and a fairly well stocked pantry. She was attentive to our needs and even had fans shipped from Amazon since there was a major heatwave and the ac was having an issue. I highly recommend this property.

Very beautiful complete home in quiet neighborhood

We stayed at this beautiful home for eight days with my family to attend my daughter’s college graduation. This home is complete with all amenities and much more beautiful than described on VRBO. Marla is very helpful. We needed shower chair and mini food grinder for my mom and she arranged it on very short notice. I would like to stay in this home when visiting Pasadena in future.

Best ever!

The VRBO description by the lovely owner is 100% accurate and in reality even better. The home has so much character, in a fabulous location to experience an amazing city, and all the recommendations for dining were spot on. The beds were very comfortable. It seemed very spacious. Our reason for visiting Pasadena was to visit the Huntington Library and Gardens. Gorgeous. We hiked the Eaton Canyon waterfall trail very near and loved the Gamble House - a premier Arts and Crafts home. Ate in Old Pasadena 4 times - MiPiacci was our favorite. Enjoyed shopping in the Lake St. area. Loved just driving around looking at the historic architecture. I've stayed in many VRBOs and this ranks at the top.

Our Easter stay at English cottage

This property is just beautiful and Marla was very communicative. She even decorated the house for Easter! She had breakfast for us in the refrigerator because we arrived so late the night before. The neighborhood is beautiful and very walkable. Everything was perfect for our Easter stay and was enjoyed by all!

Christmas in Pasadena

It is hard to be away from home at the holidays, but this VRBO owner of the English Cottage in Pasadena created such a magical winter wonderland with holiday decorations, we felt right at home. Her well-stocked kitchen gave us all the utensils we needed to bake our favorite Christmas cookies and our holiday traditions for our meals. The neighborhood was very safe for walks even in the evenings and there were lots of shops in the area to grab our essentials. The view of the mountains out the front window was breathtaking and the backyard had plenty of area to sit and chat surrounded by loaded fruit trees. We would definitely stay here again if in the area!

Just like home--maybe better...

Marla had everything to make our stay as easy as possible. Arrival was super easy and the keyless entry meant we didn't have to worry about carrying (or losing) the key. Since we arrived late, she anticipated we wouldn't have time to shop and had a few breakfast essentials in the fridge. The furniture was all comfortable, towels plentiful and Marla herself was incredibly responsive to any questions. And unlike at home, we didn't run low on toilet paper... Thank you

Comfortable English Cottage

We had a lovely stay in this adorable cottage. Our Host, Marla was very responsive and attentive throughout our stay. We couldn't have asked for a better Host...THE BEST! The home was adorable, even decorated with Christmas adornments and lights. The location was amazing in a very quiet neighborhood and within a 20 minute car ride to everything Pasadena has to offer. Thank you Marla, we really appreciated your insights to the Pasadena area!

Perfect Get-Away Cottage

My husband and I had a wonderful 3-day stay at this beautiful Pasadena English Cottage. We were as comfortable as we would have been in our own home. Upon arrival we unpacked some food that we had brought up with us and we were surprised that the refrigerator had some snack food, bagels and water ready for us to eat and drink. The little dining area, complete with a coffee bar, was just perfect for our morning coffee. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, serving dishes, silverware, cookware and anything else you might need for your stay. The outdoor back yard was so beautiful that we ate a couple of meals on the patio table underneath a gorgeous avocado tree. We had never rented a VRBO property before and we would certainly seek this cottage out again the next time we visit the Pasadena area. But most important, the owner of the cottage was a delight to work with and was very informative of anything that we might need during our stay. A must visit when staying in Pasadena!

Best Stay Ever!

What can we say that has not already been said?! This home is beyond beautiful and located in a gorgeous neighborhood! As for the lovely Miss Marla, such a wonderful and caring lady! We loved everything about our stay and could not have asked for a better host! My mother, sister and I will always cherish the time we spent here together! It was great waking up, having our coffee, going for walks before heading out then knowing we'd be coming back to such a beautiful, tranquil and safe place to rest. Thank you for having us!

I am a very easy going, outgoing and relaxed person…I consider myself to be a very positive person and love surrounding myself with beautiful things…I love my garden and take pride in my numerous rose bushes and fruit trees…Spring is my favorite time of year when everything in the garden is new and in bloom.

I grew up in San Diego…but left at 20 to live and work in London.
I ended up traveling all over Europe and was in London for about 4 years.
I then moved to Vancouver, Canada to attend film school…and moved to LA…I have been here for almost 20 years and I love it. I know lots of hidden treasures and fun places to go off the beaten path here in LA and Pasadena and would love to share my city knowledge with people visiting from out of town. I know what it’s like to take a trip and be away from the creature comforts of home…and I would really like my home to provide you all the comforts and luxury of being in a true home so it's makes your trip all that much more fun and relaxing.

I love the outdoors and love hiking, sailing, stand up paddle most of all, I am avid bicyclist. I did a 100 mile ride to raise money for the Leukemia/Lymphoma Foundation a few years ago and I got hooked!
There's a great ride from my house down to The Rose then it's 3.2 miles around the of fun! There's also many wonderful hiking trails here in the San Gabriel Mountains to explore..
I work in film editing and have worked for numerous popular tv series like Ray Donovan, Preacher, Desperate Housewives, Bates Motel, etc… I am also a entrepreneur and am working on an app - hope to have it in the App Store soon…Very Exciting!!

I love meeting new people from all over the world and look forward to a wonderful experience on airbnb.

Close to CalTech (2 miles!) and the famous Huntington Gardens, 15 minutes from Santa Anita racetrack and Los Angeles Arboretum.
