Getting Around:

Fun Times!

We enjoyed our stay at the Flurry Lodge. It was a great destination for a family vacation. Eight of us stayed comfortably and everything was in great condition. The lodge is very charming with all of the necessities furnished. I would recommend this location and definitely want to return.

Warm and Welcoming

The best part of staying at Flurry Lodge was how welcoming and homey it feels. The beds are comfortable and the view off the back deck is spectacular. The property manager is very accommodating. I would definitely recommend it for your next family vacation.

Great house in a great location.

House was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Kitchen was well stocked and gas grill on deck was used daily. It is tucked away in the pines on a quiet hillside and is just a few minutes drive to the slopes of Breckenridge. Would definitely rent again and would recommend to family and friends.

Felt right at home

We have stayed here before and keep coming back. This time we had family in from Chicago, & Michigan. It’s such a nice place to stay and visit with friends and family. Everyone had plenty of room and was impressed with the amenities. We love the recent upgrades too! We will definitely be back again.

Perfect mountain weekend escape

We spent a great weekend away from the Denver Front Range. The home was perfect for us, our two kids and Nana. Nana took the retreat room downstairs and loves the price and quiet. There was feet of powder in the backyard/forest and the snowshoes came in very handy! We will be back for sure.

Perfect place for family, private yet close to town

We absolutely loved our stay at Flurry Lodge! Everything was as described, secure and wonderful for family trip. We were less than five minutes drive from the hustle and bustle of town, yet felt wonderfully mountains away when we looked up at the stars at night. Comfy beds, well-stocked kitchen, huge fire pit, large rooms with many amenities for comfort. It was also nice knowing a lock-out apartment below us had a full time caretaker if we had any issues (we didn't, but it was an extra bonus). Would recommend it to anyone!

Very Relaxing, Beautiful House!

We had a group of 8 people at the house - we were very comfortable. Beds were comfortable, kitchen well furnished. The backyard with firepit and and horeshoes was beautiful. Living and dining room were spacious and welcoming for our larger group. Well managed property - easy payment and deposit refund process. Would stay there again and might just book now for our annual trip next year!

We didn't want to leave!

This was the prefect location for us. We enjoyed having our dogs with us as we hiked right out the backyard. The home was tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. We will definitely keep this place in mind for a return trip! The neighbors were friendly and a delight. No issues at all. Would love to find a similar home to buy in Breck!

Bringing family together

Nice looking lodge, great location close to town but yet in a wood setting, perfect great room to gather for meals and games. We shared the lodge with 2 of my siblings and their family who came down from Canada for a wedding. Overall a good choice. Could have been more clean and organized in closets & cabinets but the responsiveness of Desiree, the property manager, made up for it!

Perfect Family get away

Just came back from spending Spring Break up at Flurry Lodge. We had several families come together and had a wide age range. So comfortable, and such a great house. My wife and I took the lower suite complete with wet bar and private bath, our friend that came out from Chicago got his own bedroom, our boys had their own space, and our friends with a newborn, had their own suite as well. It was perfect. Highly recommend. Gonna have to bring my family back in the summer to enjoy the mountains when it is a bit warmer...not that we were cold at all this warm spring break week.

Great house with awesome view

This is an awesome place to stay in the summer. Beautiful views of the mountains and easy access to town. We loved the back balcony. We had a few issues with dryer not working, the master shower faucet, and we didn’t know there was a hot water heater switch until the next day. The manager was hard to reach so the dryer and shower didn’t get fixed til the last night so he gave us a partial refund. There is a tenant who lives on the bottom floor with a separate entrance. They were really nice and tried to help us fix things. Overall this is a great place to stay.

Great Family Place!

It felt like camping with the convenience of a home! The house was big, clean, and had everything we needed. It can easily sleep 10 (1 king, 2 queens, and 2 twin bunk beds), so not sure why it says 8. We had a family from newborn up to 63 and we were all quite comfy! We all decided we will try to make this an annual trip to the Flurry Lodge! We saw two moose and walked down to the stream. The property goes right up to White River National Forest! It is close to Mainstreet Breckenridge and lakes and hiking trails. There is a fire pit in the back yard that we roasted s’mores on. There is a lovely wrap-around deck for drinking coffee/tea/wine/beer. It was just lovely!

Not quite what we expected

The part of the house where we stayed was nice but there is too much action in the circle especially from the tenents who also occupy the house. Also, the bedroom TV did not work. The bathrooms were not clean when we arrived. We wanted a private getaway and this rental is not that.

Wonderful home, we wanted for nothing.

We had a wonderful stay at Flurry Lodge! The location of the home is gorgeous and the night sky is amazing! The home had everything we could ask for. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked with extra paper products, toiletries, and spices, oil, etc. The kitchen had plenty of dishes and cooking utensils, there was nothing we wanted that we didn't have. The living room had a wonderful wood burning stove (with wood provided) that heated the whole space. The couch was extremely comfortable as was the area rug for those that prefer floor sitting. The entertainment options were extensive including cable tv, chromecast, and a dvd player. The two bedrooms we used were large and the beds very comfortable. We definitely hope to stay here again!

What a cabin

I was here Aug 6 thru the 13th. It rained EVERY DAY. But the cabin offered so much we were able to keep our kids entertained. The owners have several games (cards and board), cable with HBO and HBO on Demand for free movies, DVD player, and Wifi. Basically everything at home. When it wasn't raining, the location was great. Easy access to Colorado 9 to get into Breck (less than 5 minutes) and to Frisco (about 10 minutes). We were also able to enjoy a camp fire the first night the weather allowed. It was my kids' and wife's first trip to Colorado and they loved it. My 7 year old wants to move there. This cabin was a big reason why!

Unbelievable!!!

I approached my stay at the flurry lodge with cautious optimism. It turned out there was no need. The pictures hardly do the place justice. We enjoyed four fun filled nights and five extraordinary days on the mountain. The deck was a sunsoaked place for drinks and the huge antique table served eight people every night. Games were found next to the TV and I can't remember when I laughed so hard. The bathrooms looked brand new and the beds felt like they were on the showroom floor. The location was perfect. Five minutes away from the mountain for snowboarding and ten minutes away from town for a beverage run or to grab milk and eggs. The best part was checking in and out, it was effortless. I would strongly recommend staying here to anyone visiting the breckenridge area. I am already planning are stay here next year!

Summer birthday celebration

My husband and I hosted a small group for a birthday celebration weekend at the Flurry Lodge. The accommodations were cozy and we enjoyed making dinner and eating around the large dining table. The back deck overlooking the scenery was beautiful, and we also loved making a bonfire at night in the large firepit and watching the stars. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook, and there was more than enough towels and toiletries to last the weekend! The washer and dryer was nice to have too after a long hike. The bottom floor of this house is occupied by a full time resident. This area is separated from the rest of the house and did not impact our stay negatively. However, there was a great deal of excrement left outside from the full time resident's dog, which two of our guests did have the unfortunate luck of stepping in. Overall, we were pleased with the location of the Flurry Lodge and the memories we were able to create spending a weekend there.

It is a great property with an engaging history. Here are a few opportunities for improvement. -plowing was inadequate.... -ice buildup near the front door made access a little "dicey" I even spread some ice-melt & tried to chop the ice, on the area near the door but it had little impact. -the key box operation was challenging. I have a key box at my ski home which just operates with a simple code to open. The two level operation of this key box was cumbersome. -TV instructions for the main living area are woeful and need to be updated. -Post the internet access instructions somewhere prominent. Otherwise, the house suited us fine and we had a great week of skiing, Kevin Rich

YOU WILL LOVE THIS PLACE!!

Wow, I can't say enough good things about Flurry Lodge. I have now been there in January as well as August, and each one is equally as good. A peaceful coldesac with great homes and wonderful views! The entire front of the house is all window . You're either looking at a crisp summer day or a white winters view the entire time you're there. The large deck that overlooks the national forest is amazing to just sit and enjoy the scene. A nice glass of wine while your meat is on the grill? There is a large fire pit to all gather round with a good crowd-summer or winter. Every room in the house is good sized and comfortable. This is a place you don't have to worry about having everything you need to cook a good meal. Even the freezer has some things in it. EVERYTHING you could possibly need for cooking a great meal is right at your fingertips (every utensil, pots/pans, olive oil, spices, condiments galore). The house has surround sound (both inside and out) for your music to play. The home has DVD's, games, books, and does not fall short on the electronics. The LARGE flat screen in the family room is awesome. I hope to stay at the Flurry Lodge again and again. You will not regret this stay!

PERFECTION

The PERFECT getaway!!! This house is just breathtaking and everything we hoped for in our weekend in the Rockies. We are from a beautiful Colorado town ourselves, but Flurry Lodge and the area are just what mountain getaway dreams are made of. The house is spacious, warm, and all of the gorgeous windows and wraparound deck make you feel as though you are truly immersed in the natural surroundings. The two master suites are phenomenal and a truly unique find, making the house perfect for all kinds of groups, be they a few couples, friends, or different families wanting their own space. The downstairs suite even has its own private entrance and a gorgeous kitchenette. No fighting over "the good room" for us!! There is an awesome bedroom for kids too, with bunkbeds and a killer game console projector system. The bathrooms and amenities at Flurry Lodge are stunning and luxurious, while you can just tell the decor, furniture, and accessories all have a good story behind them. We brought family out from the East coast and let's just say they were just awestruck. The morning sun pouring in through the open-concept family room and kitchen space is the only way to start your day in this incredible area! We all wandered out of our rooms each day for coffee (awesome Keurig machine!) and breakfast together (everything a chef could need) ...and couldn't have been more content. We couldn't have imagined a more inviting, fun, or gorgeous home base for our trip to Breckenridge this year - a thousand thank yous to the mind-reading and accommodating owners for the ultimate mountain stay.
