Mini vacation

Had a great time as always, the Hostess is the best and most accommodating!! The house is well equipped with everything you need for cooking and if you accidentally leave your shampoo at home this was our second time to go there and we will definitely be back

Beautiful riverhouse

The Riverhouse was clean and had all the comforts of home! This area is beautiful and we enjoyed fishing and viewing the fall foliage so much! Loved the screened in porch and having our own dock to use. Looking forward to coming back soon! Thanks Diane!

White River House

Perfect little spot. Quiet, beautiful view of the river. Lots of hiking and biking close by - as well as fishing. Great brewery up the road making killer pizzas!

We stayed here two years ago and couldn’t wait to return. Calico Rock is incredibly peaceful and the house has all the comforts of home. We look forward to patiently waiting for the beaver or river otters to make their appearance morning and evening. Our host communicates so well and is incredibly kind.

Wonderful, as always!

This was our 2nd stay at the Riverhouse, and we loved it again! Diane is the nicest person to work with, and the house has all you need for a comfortable getaway. The river is the star, though - such a beautiful spot! Hoping to come back again.

Perfect river getaway!

We absolutely loved the Riverhouse and this beautiful spot on the White River! As other reviewers have already said, the house is so thoughtfully fitted out with so many things to make you feel at home and able to relax. Diane is the best hostess, and the nicest person you could ever want to work with, and we are already trying to figure out when we can come back!

Fishing Trip for my Boys

Diane was the perfect superhost! She provided everything to make your stay wonderful and is so easy to work with and very sweet. Perfect location, very clean, comfortable and adorable home located on the White River. We will definitely be coming back and recommending this home to our friends and family.

Relaxing week away from home

The house has everything you need including everything you need to cook. Beautiful views directly on the river and with a private boat dock. We spent the majority of our time down there. Diane was a great host and stayed in touch to make sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back. It’s the perfect home away from home.

Perfect get away!

Rented the house for a ladies get away and loved it! The dock on the river and the screened in porch are amazing! If you are looking for a quiet place in the country you should try this place. Have stayed places that are "fancier" but nothing compares to the atmosphere of this place. LOVED IT and plan on coming again next year. Highly recommend! And our host Diane could not not been better. Very attentive and friendly.

Great host

Loved the host, the luxurious bath towels and bedding, the super stocked kitchen, the beautiful deck, the clean house, and time spent with family. Some things in the house really need attention-kitchen cabinets, shower heads that wouldn't adjust, and aerators on all the sinks.

Fantastic getaway

We came here on family vacation and had a wonderful time. The cabin had everything you could think of, you just need food. Diane was a great hostess, checked in on us several times to make sure we had what we needed and suggested local attractions. Fishing off the dock wasn’t great, but we think it was just too hot, upper 90’s the whole week. My son did catch 2 trout one night. Very quiet getaway and just what this family needed!!! 5 stars all around!

Outstanding!!

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at this property. Diane is a great host and communicated with us through the entire process. The river house is immaculately clean! It also fully stocked with everything you may need, from pots and pans, spices, first aid kits, fans, ice, etc.. The beds are super comfortable, the WIFI worked great, and we really enjoyed the screened in porch facing the river. The boat dock is a very nice addition. The path to the boat dock is cut along the bank in a switchback style. (think mountain road here) This makes it very easy to get from the cabin to the dock, as the path is not straight down hill. I caught enough fish from the dock to keep me interested. We really enjoyed our five days at the River House at Creswell Island!! I wish I could give this rental 6 stars!!

I am a retired educator from Northeast Arkansas. We purchased the Riverhouse in 2012 and in 2013 purchased another house in the area.

Varför värden valde detta boende

The property can only be seen from the river unless you drive down the private drive. There are only 5 houses so it’s is a quiet neighborhood. The screened-in porch overlooking the river is my favorite place for morning coffee and relaxing in the late afternoon.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

This property comes with its own private boat dock for parking your boat during your stay. Our guests enjoy fishing from the boat dock, watching the eagles fly over and the cows drinking and cooling off across the river from the pasture. There are not many boat docks on the White River in this area and one of the main reasons we purchased this property.
