Good choice to stay with Sonia and Anna
We definitely enjoyed the week in the small, but cosy holiday accommodation in Nogarolo, Tarzo, and all the things we did there, such as the visits to mediaeval places like Asolo and Portobuffole, but also Treviso, Conegliano and Vittorio Veneto and the nearby Lake Santa Crocce, surrounded by the spectacluar mountains of the Bellunesian Dolomites. Those interested in architecture should not miss visiting the famous villas Barbaro and Emo planned by the famous architect Palladio, both of which are in easy reach. On the way there, it is a must to stop at one of the many wineries along the "Strada del Prosecco" around Valdobbiadene and taste the delicious and wonderfully light D.O.C.G. beverage, e.g. at Angelo Bortolin's in Guia di Valdobbiadene.
Directly in Nogarolo, we can only recommend anyone who does not only want to eat pizza to try both Locanda Cordirossa and particularly Ca' Piadera (agriturismo), which overlooks the vineyards of the area, for their excellent home-made meals service and atmosphere.
Santa Maria, a small lake in the neighbouring village of the same name, is a nice and quiet place to go swimming or sunbathing.
All the people we encountered there during our stay were very friendly and helpful despite the language barriers ehich sometimes occured.
Thank you Sonia and Anna for your kindness and any effort to make us feel like home! We felt looked after absolutely well and would come back any time.
