"Trout Retreat" är en riktig och autentisk timmerstuga som ligger bara femton minuter utanför Boone (bara några minuter från Blue Ridge Pkwy) och ligger i ett vykort som inställning på 21 vackra tunnland med nästan 1/2 mil klass En lager öring som rinner direkt bakom stugan. Strömmen, Elk Creek, är rankad som den näst renaste strömmen i hela NC. Om du letar efter en bäck vid strömmen hittar du ingen bättre plats någonstans. det finns gott om vilda djur inklusive öring, rådjur, kalkon, räv, bäver och fåglar.

Trout Retreat-stugan sover upp till fyra med en king size-säng, bäddsoffa, två fulla bad och ett fullt utrustat kök och innehåller alla redskap, sängkläder och handdukar som krävs för att göra din vistelse bekväm. Stugan har också en stor skärmad veranda och ett däck med privat badtunna som har utsikt över bäcken och picknickbord där du kan få en unik matupplevelse eller helt enkelt sitta och koppla av till strömmens sevärdheter och ljud. Det finns också en eldstad för att skapa en varm och mysig atmosfär på de svala bergskvällarna. Denna stuga erbjuder integritet med enkel åtkomst i en unik och pittoresk miljö.

Peaceful and serene

Peaceful cabin with a beautiful location with a stream right out the back door. Close to great little towns and not far from great attractions. Great place to rest and relax.

Wonderful ideal stay. Location on large wooded property. Yard and stream perfect for dog or kids to play. Cabin as described and pictured ... clean, comfortable and well appointed. Gas fireplace great. Large gas grill. Terrific.Property 7 miles from main road via narrow, windy road. I personally loved it in our sports car. 2nd on-property cabin well positioned and not intrusive. Will return!!

Nice getaway for a couple. We needed peace and quiet and thats what we got. Cell service is terrible. It has wifi but most of the weekend it was out. We just gave our adult kids house phone number in case of emergency. We celebrated our 31st anniversary just relaxing and only going out for dinner. Very clean and easy check in.

Cabin very serene

The cabin was beautiful and well stocked very quiet and off the beaten path the stream behind the cabin was very calming, the house said there was fishing poles to use at the house but there no poles, however we didn’t go to fish, we will definitely rent again

Beautiful piece of property with a great view of the stream from the screened back porch. The road in front of the house had more traffic than we expected but wasn’t bad and we enjoyed being out in the mountains. The second cabin on the property is quite close and was great for us since we brought our parents. Gave us both privacy yet the convenience of being together when we wanted. Both cabins were furnished well and decorated cute. We did encounter an issue that was disappointing but the owner was so prompt to reply and manage the situation for which we were grateful. We would definitely stay there again.

Anniversary weekend

We were absolutely amazed at how beautiful everything was from the log cabin,to the stream outside.was very happy finding a waterfall down from the property..all in all our stay was excellent. We will definitely be back next year for anniversary number 2.

Mountain cabin delight

My husband and I had a delightful stay in this lovely mountain cabin. The best part was having the creek right behind the cabin on the property. We enjoyed the fishing and listening to the lovely sounds of the creek.

Perfect Getaway

This cabin is absolutely perfect! My husband and I as well as our fur kids had an amazing time relaxing and walking the property and hanging by the clear water creek. This cabin has all the amenities you could need, down to linens for the dogs which I absolutely love! We’ll definitely be back!

Enjoyable

The cabin is well furnished and equipped. The location is excellent for those looking for a remote get away located on a nice lot with a great stream that’s full of fish. Cabin could use a little maintenance but overall, really nice.

Very well stocked cabin, with everything needed for a 2 week stay. Wi-Fi, Sat TV worked entire time we were there, except during t-storms.

Cozy Cabin Getaway

This is the definition of "cozy cabin in the woods." It has all the amenities needed to make you feel like home, plus amazing views of the stream in the backyard. The hosts were amazing and anticipated any needs with a well stocked kitchen, tons of linens, and entertainment for rainy days. A perfect, memorable experience that we will cherish!

Didn't want to leave

We thoroughly enjoyed out stay at this cabin. What we enjoyed the most was the outdoor space, hot tub, fully functioning kitchen with plenty of cooking utensils, and proximity to the creek. The king bed seemed a bit worn (soft) and the pull-out sofa bed was a bit wonky in the corners, but did not have a negative impact on our stay. This property will definitely stay on our short list for when we visit the area!

Great Getaway

The cabin was nice and secluded for a private getaway. There are other cabins nearby but did not affect us. The cabin is well stocked like other reviews mentioned and the hot tub overlooking the stream was well enjoyed. Even though it was cold outside, the cabin stays very toasty upstairs. Really enjoyed our getaway before the holidays for our Anniversary trip.

Back porch

My wife and I enjoyed the back porch after we washed all the dust from the road off the chairs. There were a couple of cleanliness items in one of the cabinets we had to take care of but after that it was a nice cozy cabin to unwind in. There was a new grill to use and had the creek not been low, the fishing would have been better I believe. Overall it was a good stay.

Screened Porch Overlooking Stream

We enjoyed the whole week, highlighted by our time on the screened porch. We were either preparing to fish or just sitting and enjoying the weather and the natural beauty. We observed fish, wild turkeys, hummingbirds etc. A real treat!

Anniversary Getaway

The cabin was do clean and had everything we needed . The porch sitting wat hing and listening to the rushing water was a delight. Our anniversary was wonderful as we relaxed in the hot tub and enjoyed each others company as we have for the last 37 years. We will be back. The only negative thing I can say is there isn't any privacy around the hot tub and even us old married folks like to ignite that flame....lol
