"Trout Retreat" är en riktig och autentisk timmerstuga som ligger bara femton minuter utanför Boone (bara några minuter från Blue Ridge Pkwy) och ligger i ett vykort som inställning på 21 vackra tunnland med nästan 1/2 mil klass En lager öring som rinner direkt bakom stugan. Strömmen, Elk Creek, är rankad som den näst renaste strömmen i hela NC. Om du letar efter en bäck vid strömmen hittar du ingen bättre plats någonstans. det finns gott om vilda djur inklusive öring, rådjur, kalkon, räv, bäver och fåglar.

Trout Retreat-stugan sover upp till fyra med en king size-säng, bäddsoffa, två fulla bad och ett fullt utrustat kök och innehåller alla redskap, sängkläder och handdukar som krävs för att göra din vistelse bekväm. Stugan har också en stor skärmad veranda och ett däck med privat badtunna som har utsikt över bäcken och picknickbord där du kan få en unik matupplevelse eller helt enkelt sitta och koppla av till strömmens sevärdheter och ljud. Det finns också en eldstad för att skapa en varm och mysig atmosfär på de svala bergskvällarna. Denna stuga erbjuder integritet med enkel åtkomst i en unik och pittoresk miljö.

Wonderful secluded cabin

We had a fantastic weekend stay at this secluded cabin! The property is absolutely beautiful, with a lovely creek and a small waterfall that our husky couldn’t get enough of. The screened and covered deck was spacious and perfect for relaxing, complete with a gas grill. Inside, the kitchen was very well-equipped with modern appliances, cookware, dinnerware, and silverware, making meal prep easy. The living room sofa was very comfortable, and the king-size loft bedroom with its own sitting area was a real highlight—so cozy!A few things to note for future guests: the drive up includes very curvy mountain roads, so if you’re prone to car sickness, be prepared. The Wi-Fi works, but keep in mind it’s what you’d expect for such a remote location. Also, the washer and dryer are located in the basement, which may not be ideal for everyone. If you suffer from allergies, bring your medications—the cabin is clean but, being a rustic place, there may be some dust in less-used areas.The cabin is about a 30-minute drive to downtown Boone, making it easy to enjoy the town while still feeling wonderfully secluded. We had a great time and are already looking forward to coming back!

Fishing and relaxing

The location was better than I expected. The cabin was just right for us. The fishing was great and the screened in porch was a delight for evening dinners. This was the perfect weekend getaway.

Beautiful property

The property is beautiful. I wish there had been more transparency about the road to get there. It’s dirt for the most part and not well kept at all. Was not expecting that at all. The house itself is lovely. Great stocked kitchen, bed was comfy. Water pressure was awful but that can be tolerated. I would stay again!

2nd time around

We love this cabin and the sound of the creek is wonderful & relaxing!! The kitchen is full of what you would need to cook a meal, even a crockpot. Plenty of hot tub towels are available and a propane grill on the deck for a cookout. This is a great place to unwind.

The place is real nice. The only bad thing is the heater Don't heat the downstairs. And the upstairs is hot as crap I had my elderly mom with me and she about froze to death.

Great place to unwind

We enjoyed the weekend at this very nice, clean cabin. The location on the stream and the screened porch were perfect to get away from the everyday stress, not to mention a great hot tub under the stars. Awesome way to celebrate our 40th anniversary. We would definitely stay again.

Back porch

My wife and I enjoyed the back porch after we washed all the dust from the road off the chairs. There were a couple of cleanliness items in one of the cabinets we had to take care of but after that it was a nice cozy cabin to unwind in. There was a new grill to use and had the creek not been low, the fishing would have been better I believe. Overall it was a good stay.

Peaceful getaway

We enjoyed our stay. It was quiet & peaceful, the creek & surrounding area was beautiful. We like to walk & found the road to be safe & walkable. The hot tub was clean & very relaxing. Bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed the gas fireplace & the fire pit outside. Would stay here again for sure!

Too Busy

Beautiful property, cabin is nice & well stocked, could use some cornhole boards as creek water was low & fishing was not great but caught a few small trout. Thankfully no one was in the other cabin or that would have been a HUGE problem as you share a yard, its only separated by a driveway. gravel & dirt road is super close to cabin & extremely busy. The dust was horrible!!! Would not stay again due to road & other cabin proximity.

Quaint cabin

We loved our stay at the trout retreat! Cabin was adorable and rustic. Kitchen was well equipped (one of the better VRBO kitchens we’ve had!). Me, my son and our dog loved the stream and had a blast playing, floating, bumping and fishing. Would definitely stay here again!

NC Vacay

What a wonderful week of peace and quiet. This was perfect for my wife & I to unwind and refill our tanks with rest and relaxation. While spending a lot of time on the screened in porch, listening to the calm of a babbling brook (trout stream), reading, coffee, table games, and just sitting & soaking up the silence was terrific. We did venture around the area & have always loved the Appalachian mountains. The hosts were very responsive to a question and all is as advertised. Would HIGHLY recommend and hope to return someday. :) Thank you for a great week in the valley.

Serenity and peaceful

We arrived a little early. But was met with a beautiful clean cabin. " I want one" LoL. Nothing but good vibes in this cozy retreat. Next door neighbor came over and introduced himself. He and I fished a lot. We just needed this, some traffic on the road but later it just got quiet. I didn't touch my phone the whole stay. It was a great 25th anniversary. Thank you so much

Anniversary weekend

We were absolutely amazed at how beautiful everything was from the log cabin,to the stream outside.was very happy finding a waterfall down from the property..all in all our stay was excellent. We will definitely be back next year for anniversary number 2.

A relaxing retreat by the river

We loved our stay at this charming cabin by a river. We felt immersed in nature and it was super quiet and restful. The road is not well traveled. We loved the huge screen porch overlooking the forest and river. The hot tub was very well maintained. This cabin is best for a couple as there's only one bed and not much privacy within the cabin.
