Family vacation

We have a family of 14 - 7 adults & 7 kids ranging in age from 16 down to 8. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The fishing was fantastic & the lake was quiet enough for even the youngest kids to kayak. The kids loved the game room & spent the chillier days playing pool & fusball. We hope to come back next year.

Great Lake

Great property for a large group. We had 13 kids and adults. A couple minor problems and concerns. The smoke alarms went off on our first night, but not again. We have a granddaughter in a wheelchair and it was fairly tight in spots for her. The showers upstairs are tiny (all my kids mentioned this). The week we stayed it was really hot and there are only window air conditioners that kept blowing the fuse.

Very nice

Close to home for us and clean! Loved the beachfront, the whole family enjoyed everything this home had to offer! Many large fish caught, so close to the home. So quiet and peaceful, very private, the Grandkids enjoyed the pool table as well - Perfect for the large family getaway Looking forward to booking in the future

Wonderful Property

This house and property were perfect for our get together. It worked really well for multiple families to share the space. Plenty of options on-site for activities to keep everyone busy. The lake was beautiful and peaceful. There's a great orchard down the road, nice local businesses in Pullman, and close to the attractions in Saugatuck and South Haven! I hope we get to visit again.

Family Vacation

My large extended family recently stayed at the property and had a great experience. The house was as advertised with plenty of room for everyone. The backyard and lake are great for kids. Proximity to South Haven, Holland and Lake Michigan made beach days east’s. We would definitely stay again.

Fall Weekend

Rented the house for a fall weekend in Michigan with family. Had kids ages 4-10 and they loved it. The house was perfect for what we were looking for, clean and the location was close to apple picking and pumpkin farms.

great lakefront setting, and the house had plenty of space so that we never felt crampt. the living/game room is a great asset. kitchen is great with everything we needed. We would definitely go back.

We had a wonderful time. The house had everything we needed, and more. Excellent communication from owner and property manager. The private beach was great, we just wished the lake was a bit deeper for swimming and lounging.

Great get away for the whole family!

We had a great time, and everyone in our group aged 6-68 said they would go back! The beach front is perfect for kids to play in the water or fish off the dock. There's plenty of room for everyone to eat and play board games, and the game room is situated so that games of pool or movies don't dominate the sounds of the whole house. Check in and out was easy and we didn't encounter any issues that warranted contacting management during our stay.

Where memories were made

This house was everything our family ranging in age from 65 to 15 months needed. From the spacious bedrooms & community spaces to the beautiful beach, it was great. Kitchen accommodated the whole family. Loved the 2 refrigerators and the amount of cupboard & counterspace. Communication was timely and issues resolved. I would say the only downside is not enough seating in the family/game room. We will be back to either this house or one of the other larger homes that is part of this group. Thank you for everything!

Family Memories

Our lake stay was absolutely perfect! Such a peaceful lake. The property is as described in many of the reviews so we weren’t expecting anything fancy. The kitchen is quite small so meal prep was a bit crowded but we made it work. The outdoor kids toys definitely need replaced. Some were too dirty to use while others were surrounded by too many weeds. But the fishing was the highlight of the trip. Grandkids loved it😊

Family Fun

We had a great time with our three adult children, their spouses, and eight grandchildren. The private beach and lake were beautiful, and were still able to visit Lake Michigan one evening. House rules were a bit too restrictive, and a whole house water filtration system would have been nice but neither were showstoppers. The management and cleaning team were responsive and helpful.

Beach/lake great for the little ones!

Easy check-in/check-out. The private beach at the lake was a plus for the kids (ages 2-6). Toys for the kids at the beach too! Fishing off the dock was great. Nice to have access to the canoe. Fire pit was nice for evening gatherings. Elizabeth was great about letting us know about local activities. She told us about the free state park entry and free fishing without needing a license over the weekend we were there. We took advantage of both! Plenty of seating inside and outside. Could have used more kitchen towels.

Family Christmas Stay

The location of the house was nice and the grounds were spacious. The house was big, but the set up was a little different. There was no cozy living room space. I loved the large dining area with lots of seating. Some of the rules were excessive. When we arrived there was vomit on the grass and there was a adult play toy, which was concerning since we had little kids with us. Overall it was a nice rental and the space worked for our stay.

Good for family

An older, quiet lake cottage with large yard for baseball, croquet, etc. The sand kept the youngest busy, while other kids spent a lot of time fishing. Kayaks and canoe were a success, especially since the swimming area was dominated by weeds. All enjoyed the large fire pit. The kids also enjoyed the two bunkbed rooms to bunk with their cousins, then four other bedrooms for the adults. Nice size pans for cooking for a crowd. Two fridges were a bonus. The stove burners would not sit flat though, and best to bring your own knives.

The owners fell in love with southwest Michigan on a trip to visit friends in South Haven nearly 15 years ago. As Chicago natives, they were immediately enchanted by the serene atmosphere and natural beauty — not to mention the extensive outdoor activities. Since then, they have embraced the tradition of spending holidays and summer weekends in the area, and it was only a matter of time before they decided to find a vacation home of our own.

They discovered this, their first gorgeous property, on Upper Scott Lake in Lee Township over ten years ago. They began renting the cottage there out of a desire to share their wonderful experiences there with others. Now with 8 additional rental properties, they love offering a simple countryside alternative to busy city life.
