the balcony door could not be opened. I knew exterior work would be taking place while I was here but didn’t expect as much noise and the harsh chemical smell from whatever they were using to resurface the balcony.

Yes they were redoing the balcony floor during your stay, thus it was closed off as it was mentioned in the description.

The apartment was clean and spacious. You do have a balcony view of the ocean to the left. We were disappointed with the communication (or lack thereof) from the host. We were not told the name of the building, how to navigate the driveway (which is narrow and managed by valet), there is active construction on the building due to hurricane season starting, the key fob to the shared areas (pool/gym/rec room) is NOT provided and costs a non-refundable (even if you return it at the end of your stay 30 for the first 1-3 guests. The property has a short walk to the beach. No beach chairs are provided for this property. You can either bring your own down to the beach or rent from one of the hotels for 30 per day per chair. Also not told maintenance needed to come inside the apartment during our stay to caulk windows. They knocked twice and then unlocked the door and came in without permission. We were told the host was informed and that we could not refuse the entry.

Location and amenities

Located in the perfect spot. They also provide a lot of extras like beach chairs, umbrella, kids beach toys, kitchen seasonings etc. Would definitely stay again. The front desk and the valet are not the most compitant or friendly people, but that takes nothing away from the stay itself. Just a heads up.

Great week in Hallendale Beach!

We were very pleased with the ease of check-in and the property was awesome! Everything you need to take down to the beach is right there in the closet! Viktor was very accessible for anything that we needed. I could sit on the balcony all day: to the left was the beach/ocean and to the right was city with intercoastal waterway views! Thanks Viktor!
