Riverside Retreat Àr en stor stuga som Àr totalrenoverad och utrustad med helt nya möbler och sÀngklÀder! Riverside Retreat sover som en 3BR - den har 2 privata sovrum, ett med en king size-sÀng och en med en queen size-sÀng och övervÄningen loftet Àr upprÀttat som ett tredje sovrum med en queen size-sÀng, samt en sittgrupp med en drottning bÀddsoffa! Det finns ocksÄ en drottning bÀddsoffa i den nedre familjen rum som kan fungera som en fjÀrde sovplats.

HuvudnivÄn stÄtar med ett stort öppet kök och matsal, med vÀlvda tunga i tak med synliga bjÀlkar och ett mysigt vardagsrum med gasspis spis och HDTV. Det finns en drottning Master Suite pÄ huvudplan med eget badrum. PÄ övervÄningen finns ett stort öppet loft som upprÀttats som ett sovrum med queen size-sÀng, men har Àven tvÄ-sits arkadmaskin med 50 olika arkadspel och en sittgrupp med en bekvÀm drottningsbÀddsoffa. Det finns ocksÄ ett komplett badrum pÄ övervÄningen. Nedre vÄningen har ett spelrum och familjerum med stor HDTV och xbox One, biljardbord och drottning bÀddsoffa. Det finns ett andra sovrum svit nere med en king size-sÀng, HDTV och ett badrum.

Riverside Retreat erbjuder centralvÀrme och luftkonditionering, ett tvÀttstuga med tvÀttmaskin och torktumlare, och tillÄter husdjur - endast hundar med vanliga husdjurskostnader.

Av den nedre nivÄn finns en tÀckt innergÄrd med gungstolar och en badtunna som vetter mot floden nedanför. HuvudnivÄn har ett stort friluftdÀck pÄ sidan av huset, med Adirondack-stolar, ett stort uteserveringsbord och en gasgrill. Framsidan av huvudnivÄn har en tÀckt veranda med bekvÀma utemöbler som vetter ut mot floden och bergen pÄ andra sidan.

En lat nedförsbacke frÄn stugan leder till en stor, platt grÀsbevuxen öppning som Àr tillrÀckligt stor för alla slags roliga utomhusaktiviteter! Det finns en eldgrop och hundratals meter pÄ den nya floden som parallellt sidan av denna stora fast egendom, alla privata och din att njuta av! Ovanför stugan finns mer skogsklÀdda tunnland med omarkerade spÄr att utforska. Fastigheten Àr privat, erbjuder trÀdbevuxen och klart mark att njuta av, liksom gott om flod fasad !!

Spacious and Beautiful Cabin

The cabin was beautiful and secluded but only minutes from Boone. We really enjoyed the spacious common area. It was a great place to visit with my family who lives locally. The only problems we had were with the HVAC system. The upstairs stayed too hot, while the downstairs was too cold. Adjustment of the thermostats seemed to have no effect on the temperature.

Last minute Thanksgiving vacay

Our family decided to go to the mountains for Thanksgiving break. We were so happy to secure a place that allowed dogs. We were able to get in two hours early on Thanksgiving day, easy to get intouch with management company, house was very clean upon arrival, and the pictures don’t do the house justice. This cabin was perfect for my family of two teen boys, two small dogs, and my husband and me. We will definitely come back again!

Wonderful stay!!

What an amazing cabin to stay in for our family vacation! The location, the river, the quiet
It was all so perfect! We enjoyed floating in the river, bonfires, breakfast and dinner outside on the porch, visiting grandfather mountain and grandfather winery. The cabin was so cozy and clean! We would highly recommend this cabin!

This was a great place and perfect for the 8 of us! Kids had plenty to do and the dinning fit all of us. Beautiful property.

Fun getaway

We enjoyed staying at this property. Close (walking distance) to river for fishing. This property was also close to Boone. Many options for activities to meet everyone's needs. I would recommend this property for a fun stay.

Our experience

Overall the stay was great! We were a little disappointed that the walk to the water and fire pit was so long and big terrain to get to. Also, not as remote as we had thought. The pool table was hit with my family.

Amazing family time

Our trip was a short spontaneous trip and it was excellent! The cabin was in an excellent location and the owner’s provided games that came in handy. We enjoyed walking around on the mountain and down to the river. It was in perfect location to go to Boone or Blowing Rock. I just can’t explain how much we all enjoyed this get away and the cabin with its location and amenities were largely responsible! Can’t wait to plan a return trip!

Nice cabin stay!

Great cabin in the mountains. Perfect for what we were looking for. The kids loved the arcade and pool table. We used the hot tub only once because it wasn't the cleanest. We enjoyed the fire pit down by the river. Would go back again!

Family vacation

The house is great with plenty of room for everyone., we are a family of 9. We even used the downstairs hallway for additional sleeping. The kitchen is large with plenty of cabinets for storage. Bathrooms are roomy and one on each floor. The pool table was a big hit and kept the kids entertained. Our family loved the river location and spent lots of time there. It is a hike down with 2 switchbacks and muddy in some spots. Bring pool tubes for a great river experience. The rope swing up the hill was fun. We even had a deer and chipmunk visit us at the house. The location is quite close to Boone and yet we felt remote. However: the gravel driveway is quite steep and you must start out “flooring the accelerator”. We got stuck the first time up and had to unload our bikes to make it up. 4 wheel drive would be needed in the winter. We arrived 30 minutes after check in and the cleaning staff was just finishing up. They said that they were called late to clean. There was dog hair everywhere and dog food scattered throughout the main floor. The bathrooms and kitchen were clean. We had to take towels out of the dryer. We had towels for 4 and no extra sheets for the pull out sofa beds. This was frustrating because they had asked ages of each person who would be there. We couldn’t call the management company because the internet service was poor and we had 4 wrong passwords written in many locations. We finally were able to use a land like to get in touch with them. Late that evening they did bring the linens and check out the leak under the sink. We were given another password for the internet and this worked but access continued to go off and on. We had some in our party who needed to work from the house and this was most difficult due to the continued break in the internet. There was a septic tank odor coming from under the sink and other areas of the house at times. Front door knob was broken. And our security access code was wrong. We had to leave a door unlocked until we could call the management company on the road for a correct code. All of this was disappointing, frustrating, and took up time. We feel that the management company should do a better job of maintenance between renters. However, it did not stop us from having a great time. We would even consider a return trip. I would recommend the house for vacations and hopefully management company addresses the issues.

Awesome house and very secluded from others which is what we wanted. Short drive to town to eat out was nice. Loved the bridges you cross to get to the driveway.

Great House but long walk down hill to river

House had great layout, was very clean and overall had what we needed for an enjoyable stay. The kitchen has the bare basics and could use more of what it had and some additional items to make it better. The location was ok but the river is down a steep hill so to access it you must walk down a long path that zig zags back and forth to even make it walkable as straight down would be to steep to walk. The view of the river from the house is limited. If you chose this house be sure to bring toliet paper, paper towels and dishwasher soap as you will not be given enough for your stay.

A must stay

Beautiful & Secluded although only 10-15 mins from Appalachian State. Loved this place. We will return in the Summer. If you plan on going in the winter a 4X4 or at least front wheel drive vehicle would be best.

Hot tub folliculitis

On Jan 5, 2021 I wrote in and asked for the service of draining/refilling and re-filtering the hot tub. I was assured this would happen and regularly happens at rented cabins. When we arrived it was obvious the hot tub had not been serviced at all let alone drained. The filter had mold in it. We notified the management team who put in a maintenance ticket. The next evening at 7:30 pm maintenance arrived and we explained the situation. He said they do not drain after each guest and would not be doing so for us as it takes hours. He checked the chemicals and said it looked like a clean hot tub to him. Hesitantly, and at our own risk we used the hot tub. Now my kids have hot tub folliculitis due to the improperly treated hot tub. It is clearing nicely, and thank goodness I did not get it as I am on immunosuppressants and might not be healing as well as they are. I asked well ahead of time for a proper maintenance, was assured it would happen and now am suffering the consequences of putting my trust in Carolina Cabin Rentals. I am truly disappointed and hope no further issues arise from putting my trust in this company.

Riverside Retreat 12/11-12/14

We had a great time in the total seclusion. Pros - Pool table was great! Did not use the X-Box but plan to next time. No children this trip but the adults enjoyed the old school gaming system! Plenty of TV for everyone. (Leave better directions on the use of TV, blue ray, Xbox and wifi.) Home was clean and very beautiful. The porch in the morning with coffee was most excellent accompanied by the sound of water rushing past! Cons - Paid for an early check-in but the code did not work. Jacuzzi water was not clean could not use

Renting through Carolina Cabin Rentals was great. Any questions I had they answered in a timely manner. Our children enjoyed playing pac man and pool on our rainy day. They have already requested we stay here on our next trip to the mountains.

1.Lights in kitchen blinked all the time. 2.Lights in downstairs B/R at foot of bed blinked all the time. 3.Carving/ steak Knives in kitchen very dull & no way to sharpen. 4.No cheese grater (purchased one & left it there). 5.Had to plug & unplug kitchen under counter lights. Breaker would trip when hot tub lights were cut on & microwave running. 6.Clothes wouldn't dry in dryer. Had to clean dryer vent cover outside to resolve problem. 7.Twenty feet of the trail to river very muddy need a little more rock. 8.Hot tub was not as clean as expected. Please understand these were minor inconveniences but none the less inconveniences. We did still enjoy our visit.

Clean and secluded, but not too far from amenities in case you forget anything. Came with some friends who all grew up together. All enjoyed it.

Nice!

The home is lovely and its location on the river made our COVID break very special. Nice hot tub at the house and fire pit on the river. We had some work we could not get out of and found the Wi-Fi to be pretty disappointing when it came to successfully Zooming so be advised if you need bandwith on your trip. Could also use some better task lighting in the kitchen--it was pretty dark over the counters, sink, and stove. Those are minor tweaks, though, as the house is well-thought out and was spotless with very comfortable beds! The layout of the house was great--the kids loved the loft bedroom and bathroom and hanging out below playing billiards was fun. We would happily stay again!
