Visningar, utsikt, utsikt !!! Vi köpte det här huset för utsikten och vi ville se till att de var centrum för allt. Detta 2800 kvadratmeter stora hus har plats för alla på en vacker 1 tunnland stor strandvatten, gott om utrymme för trädgård och sjöaktiviteter.

Öppet koncept bra för flera familjer med ett separat barnrum; kul och avkoppling för alla. Eldstäder är gas som tar kyla av eller skapar en varm inbjudande miljö med en vipp av en switch. Bottenvåningens öppna utrymme har ett vardagsrum, sovplats, bordtennisbord och gångväg till sjön. Nedervåningen har 2 uppsättningar trippel våningssäng, sova 6 med tillgänglighet för att lägga till ytterligare 2 gäster med hjälp av drottningen bäddsoffa. Alla sovrum på övervåningen har king size-sängar för att se till att allas vistelse är bekväm. Den stora befälhavaren har ett badrum på sviten. Vi bryr oss om komfort och vet att inte alla semesterbostäder investerar i madrasser - det gjorde vi!

De stora skjutdörrarna i master, gäst sovrummet och de franska dörrarna i det stora vardagsrummet ger alla en fantastisk utsikt över Lake Gaston. Fönster ovanför diskbänken har gjort skålen mindre till en ork. Köksfönstret låter dig njuta av utsikten över vattnet även när du fyller diskmaskinen eller gör ditt morgonkaffe. Köket är fullt utrustat med alla prylar eller skålar du kan behöva för att förbereda dina favorit måltider och en grill för att göra semester måltider med mindre röran och sanering. Bjud in mer till matbordet när bordet sträcker sig till plats upp till 10.

Inbäddat i en skyddad vik kan du njuta av den breda utsikten över den stora sjön samtidigt som du njuter av vattnet bort från upptagen båttrafik. Stranden är en slipad strand med en gradvis sluttning så att alla kan delta i vattenspelet, oavsett ålder. Använd en av kajakerna, fisk från kajen, flyta på en flott eller hoppa i sjön för att svalna. Slutet av bryggan erbjuder 9ft djupt vatten med tillgång till 20 "djupt vatten bara några meter bort. Det är allt möjligt 20 meter från huset och från utsidan från bakdäck. Har du en båt och / eller Sea Doo? Inga problem. Du kan lagra den vid båtbryggan medan du bor. Bluebird Point båtramp är mindre än en mil bort för bekväm tillgång till vattenskotrar.

Ett stort expansivt däck är tillgängligt från befälhavaren och ett gästrum. Uppskatta den avskärmade verandan med sittplatser och uteservering bara genom de franska dörrarna i huvudområdet. Hela utrymmet är sammankopplade så att alla kan komma åt sjön och utomhus. Däckets trappor är skyddade av en dubbel spärrgrind för att ge säkerhet och lätthet om de små undersöker. Best place on the lake.

This was our 4th year renting this home on the lake. It is perfect for the needs of our extended family. We had 13 of us including 5 young grandkids. The house easily fit all of us and the waterfront has a beach, a dock, a boat lift and is located on a quiet part of the lake. PERFECT!

Peaceful stay in the cove

Laura was an excellent host and communicator. Her home was relaxing for our visiting family and our kids were entertained by the various amenities (ping pong, fishing, swimming) that were available. The home is comfortable and in a peaceful cove. I would recommend this stay to folks of all ages! Wonderful stay!

Great week

The fact that we were back for our second year says it all. Very enjoyable stay. The whole family wanted to return to this house again. Great location and very well equipped. We would highly recommend it. Only two issues. The owner had changed the combination of the key lock box and not updated the checkin instructions. We were locked out on arrival for a couple hours until we could get the new code. And, previous guests had left the fire pit full of trash. We did not have any plans to use it, so this did not impact our stay.

Best place and host ever

This is our 3rd straight year staying at Lauren's beautiful place on Lake Gaston and we are already looking forward to next year. If I could nominate Lauren for host of the year, I would. On the first day, I had some questions and she handled them within 2 minutes of my inquiry. When I thought that we were going to be without a highchair for my 1 year old grandchild, Lauren offered to order one from Amazon and have it sent to us. With 5 grandchildren age 1-8, this is a perfect place. Upstairs has plenty of room for their parents and plenty of kitchen space and seating inside and out. Downstairs is a kids dream with 2 sets of triple bunks and a giant room with foosball, ping pong, and a pinball machine. Outside is perfect with a great dock, a boat lift, and a gentle shallow beach area for little kids to play. It is a beautiful view and it is protected from the crowds and the waves of the main lake. Can't wait to come back for year 4.

Another Family Vacation, but...

Great time at the lake! We had a great time at the house this year! However, there were a few too many black (wood) ants in the kitchen. Not sure why they were appearing in the kitchen . Thank you for another great experience! I would like to reserve for next year!

Great North Carolina home on Lake Gaston.

Our family had an awesome summer vacation on beautiful (super clean) Lake Gaston! The cove that this house is on was very private with little boat traffic. The kids were in the lake all day and night. The 3 kayaks provided, let them explore the neighboring coves and the lights on the dock let them stay out there all night and fish. The house is updated and well decorated with spacious bathrooms, a large screened in porch, and comfortable mattresses in the bedrooms. The kid's favorite part of the house was definitely the basement. They loved the bunk beds, ping pong table and having their own TV and bathroom. Our family tries to go somewhere new every summer, but this rental will be hard not to come back to.

Terriffic stay at Lake Gaston

This was an awesome house for our family vacation. It was very clean and well maintained. The hosts were quick to respond to questions and supply everything you could possibly need, even down to firewood for the fire pit. The older kids loved having their own space downstairs. Lots of possibilities for water activities. There were two kayaks, a paddle board, and even a pedal boat which our three year old grandson loved riding in. The house is very close to a boat launch ramp. We loved having our boat docked at the house and always ready for tubing, swimming and wake surfing. The huge yard allowed plenty of room for outdoor games. And, we really enjoyed watching the neighborhood ospreys feeding their young. We would love to stay here again, and highly recommend it to others.

Best place to rent for families with small kids

This was our 2nd year renting this property and it was fabulous. We have 5 grandkids that joined us and this beautiful place on a quiet cove with a nice sandy beach, water toys galore, and a perfect house for families, made for a wonderful week. Our host Lauren was perfect. We have rented at Gaston for 20 years. This is hands down the best rental we have ever had.

We loved the pull up! The view of Lake Gaston and the dam! We had the best neighbors (osprey and babies). The experience on the lake this year was surreal! The Gathering Place was a very welcoming place to be and a centralized location between Roanoke Rapids & Littleton. We will DEFINITELY be staying here again!

A Great Place to Have a Lake Family Vacation

The entire family, ranging from 4 to 70, enjoyed this vacation at Lake Gaston. The Gathering Space we rented through VRBO was a perfect match for our family, including a lower level with 6 bunk beds, a ping pong table, a fooseball table and other games for our grandchildren. outside was a very useable single boat dock, a Sandy private beach area, kyaks, other toys for children and adults and, of course, beautiful Lake Gaston.

This was exactly what we needed. The access to the main lake in the boat is superior. The bedrooms all on the main floor for the grown ups and the children's bunk room being downstairs is fabulous. This is one we will definitely consider again. The views from the house were superb and the screen porch was wonderful. The owner was really responsive when we had trouble accessing the key upon arrival..

PERFECT

I’ve been renting vacation homes at Lake Gaston for the past 6 years … and this one by far has it all. Plenty of space for 3 families. (11 of us total). We all could not get over how comfortable the beds were. I feel all 3 families will have new mattresses inspired by this house very soon. Plenty of games and space for the kids to play. The kitchen was well stocked. We really felt at home. The smart TV allows you to sign into your own accounts which is nice for the evening wind downs. The sandy “beach” was amazing for my 4 and 5 year old. They both learned how to swim underwater thanks to it!!! Lots of room for practice! Even more fun was that at the end of the dock you were able to jump off with no obstructions. It was pretty deep! I won the belly flop competition. (I do not recommend participating in such competitions as an adult.) The views were amazing. Watching storms roll in. Watching boats drive by. Our neighbor in the field was an osprey with some babies…up on an electrical line. It was great to watch the mama osprey hunt for fish. She did a better job than us. Owner was very easy to get ahold of, and was always kind and prompt. I will rent this house every year that it’s on the market. I just don’t think another house could compare.

Perfect place for family with kids and grandkids

We have been renting places at Gaston for 20 years. This was by far the best place. The pictures don't do this place justice. The location was perfect. Peaceful, beautiful, and calm. While the other parts of the lake were crowded and rough with boats and wind, we always had quiet and calm here. It was perfect for our grandchildren to wade in the sandy beach area. We always had shade throughout the day and it was great to be able to launch our boat nearby and dock it at the boat lift. We had 8 adults and 4 grandkids and there was ample room for everyone. The down stairs bunk room that could sleep 6 in bunks with a pull out couch was amazing. It was big and there was room for a foosball table, ping pong table, and a 2nd large TV in addition to the one upstairs. We really like the screened in porch and the wide open kitchen that was well stocked in addition to having pretty new appliances which was a welcome surprise. Our host Lauren could not have been more helpful and responsive to our needs. The bottom line is, we can't wait to rent next year. It was a magical week.

Paradise on the lake

The Gathering Place is one of the best rental homes we have ever stayed at. Lauren is so quick to respond to any inquiries.. The house is so clean and well stocked! Our grandkids go right to the snacks upon arrival. Very nice touch! The location is convenient to the lake, grocery store etc. We will continue to make family memories every year at this beautiful location! Super host Lauren thank you for making the house into a home! We will be back! We miss it already!

Wonderful stay on the lake

This property was everything that we wanted for our weekend getaway. It was incredibly clean, well stocked, comfortable, and relaxing. I couldn’t believe how many times we said “did you see X any where?” And the answer was always “yes, it’s in that drawer” (or wherever it was located). There was plenty to do to entertain my almost 3 year old, including the beach entry for the water that made it incredibly easy for getting her and our infant as well in the lake. No complaints here! 10/10 would recommend!

Great New Years Trip!

A group of 10 friends decided to rent The Gathering Place for our New Years weekend and had a great time! The property had plenty of space for all of us to stay and was very accurate to the photos. The owners were very responsive to all of our questions prior to the trip and gave a great recommendation for the company we rented a boat from for a day. I highly Recommend this property for bigger groups looking to get away for the weekend!

Fishing, games, fire pit, movies, eating, sleeping — all was just what we hoped for and needed! Great Family Getaway

This house exceeded my expectations in cleanliness, comfort, and just all around great house. Having King sized beds in all the bedrooms was just awesome for my family. The kitchen was the best stocked kitchen I have ever seen in a rental - nice dishes, silverware, appliances, pots and pans, etc. were all top notch stuff. Communication with the owner was always prompt. My adult children loved the house and we would all love to go back again!

Wonderful visit to Lake Gaston

Everything has advertised on property was correct. We especially liked relaxing on the dock and in the screened in-porch area and spent alot of time there enjoying the view when not outside. Kayaks provided were nice to have and when not outside boating , playing ping pong was a great for indoor play. Hope to visit again soon!

Even better than we thought it’d be!

What a great place to stay! And we couldn’t believe all the amenities available that the owners did not have to provide. Often times listings say they provide certain amenities only to find that those are lacking or poor quality, etc. Not here! They even had a perfect camp fire already built in the fire pit ready for us to light. The check-in process was super easy and communication with Lauren was attentive and thorough. We had 4 adults and 6 teenagers and Lauren’s house was perfect! We rented a pontoon and easily tied it up to the dock when not using. The location at the back of the cove is perfect as well! Thank you Lauren! We will be back!

Our family purchased this home to make time as a family possible. While my son and I live near the ocean in Wilmington, NC my husband lives in the DC area for work. This is our Gathering Place to create family time on the weekends. No matter how many times we've been here we are still sad to leave, because we know that nothing is better than being a family at our gathering place.

Now we want to share the time we've relaxed in comfort and enjoyed the views with you. Every lakefront property can offer the lake, but we wanted to make sure your experience is more vacation and less packing. This is where we spend our downtime as well, so you should be afforded all the comfort of your own home. If you are anything like me, you check to see what the home has to make sure you pack it if it's not there (coffee pot, griddle, kitchen essentials, sheets, towels (how many).. etc).
