Gordy's Place Àr ett nybyggt hus strax utanför Sand Point Road, cirka 9 minuter till centrala Bar Harbor. VÄr familj har besökt Acadia i flera Är och köpte nyligen detta helt nya hem. Vi hoppas att du Àlskar det - och Acadia - lika mycket som vi gör!

I ett lugnt, nytt omrÄde Àr Gordy's Place en trevlig retrÀtt för din Bar Harbor / Acadia-semester. Njut av det privata uteplatsen medan du grillar i skogen utomhus eller vÀrmer hÀnderna över eldstaden efter dagen med vandring och strand. Bara en 5 minuters bilresa till huvudentrén till Acadia National Park, bara 10 minuters promenad till var du kan ta den fria Island Explorer-bussen. GÄ till vattnet i den pittoreska lilla byn Salsbury Cove. HÀrliga boende för din familj och vÀnner!

Huset pÄ 1500 kvm har ett vackert inredda vardagsrum, öppet kök med rymlig ö, matsal och 1/2 bad pÄ första vÄningen. Det finns 3 sovrum (master king svit, drottning och ett sovrum med tvÄ tvillingar) pÄ andra vÄningen. Det finns ocksÄ ett komplett badrum och ett badrum med dusch endast pÄ denna vÄning.

Home away from Home

This is the best VRBO in Bar Harbor. The house has everything that you could ever need for a trip to Bar Harbor. It is like home away from home. The house is in a very quiet section outside of the downtown. But it is easy access to the main HWY.

Beautiful home, perfectly appointed, a true gem!

We had a wonderful week long stay. Jean and Bob’s home has everything and more you could want during your stay. The location is great, not right in town but very close and peaceful with a great outdoor space. Every detail is taken care of and there is plenty of space for a family plus grandparents (our group). Their recommendations were good and we are looking forward to our next trip to MDI.

All the Comforts of Home

In a quiet neighborhood close to Acadia Park and Bar Harbor. Extremely clean, well equipped/stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, private outdoor area with grill and plenty of seating. The LP player was a nice throw back to listen to some good music- Enjoyed our time and appreciated all the comforts of home.

Fantastic getaway close to Bar Harbor

Great location just for a few minutes. Howes had Bar Harbor. Spent days riding bikes in a Acadia national Park through the 50+ miles of trails. Dinners mostly consisted of lobster rolls at a nearby roadside restaurant. We got them to go so we could eat them in Gordy’s beautiful home. Enjoyed sitting outside in the hammock, staring at the trees, relaxing in the afternoons.Gordy‘s place is very quiet and peaceful, so relaxing. This was our second time staying here. We were back after enjoying staying here for a week in 2021. Really like this house and a national park. Jean is a good host and checked in on us, but we had everything we needed.

Wonderful experience!! The house was beautiful, clean and well stocked with every essential. The owners make you feel as if you are staying at a friend's house. All the luxuries of a 5 star hotel with all the comforts of home! Location couldn't not be better. The owner is extremely responsive to all messages and questions. You will not be disappointed!! We loved every minute of our visit to Gordy's place!

Immaculate and awesome

Gordy’s place was perfect for us. It was immaculately clean and had every amenity you could think of— laundry facilities with detergent, toiletries, a vast array of cooking utensils and pots, blenders etc.. it was conveniently located close to Acadia and was not more than 20-25 minutes to every trail we hit, close to Bar Harbor.. listen to their recommendations for dining out as they were spot on. The owner Jean was very kind to us as we had a sick dog with us for our last family vacation with her and was very quick in responding to the questions I had. Thank you fur a great time— loved Mount Desert island!!

Perfection!

Jean & Bob opened their home up and welcomed our family in there beautiful home. The kitchen is fully stocked, bedding is comfortable and relaxing. The views are stunning. Bob & Jean provide thorough recommendations from restaurants, bakeries, hiking, shopping, and all things MDI. They completely take the guess work out of the planning. The outside space is relaxing whether we were laying in the hammock or gravity chairs or relaxing by the fire. This is the absolute perfect place to stay when visiting Bar Harbor and Acadia. I cannot say enough wonderful things about our week at Gordy’s Place. We will definitely be back!

Description doesn’t do it justice

This place far exceeds the pictures and description. The main floor is far roomier then it appears, and is setup beautifully. Games, puzzles, and a fabulous collection of vinyl is included, and of course there is a smart TV for you to use. The yard is small, but setup for enjoyment. Hammocks and Hammock swing as well as great recliners allow the guests to just relax, look out at the bay (small view of it) and read or enjoy nature. Speaking of nature, even though the property is close to town, we saw 4 deer, including some large Bucks, and 2 different coyotes. Just a beautiful location. The home owners also provide so many little extras
 anything and everything you can imagine. Cleaning supplies, welcome gifts, emergency supplies in case you forgot, even a great welcome gift. I have never seen this before, and it really made our stay perfect. The only way to improve this property would be to add a Hot Tub!!!! That would make this ab elite property! We will definitely be back.

Gordy's place was the best experience we've had with Vrbo or any short term rental. Clearly owned and run by people who love the surrounding area and want to share that with their guests. The house is warm, inviting, and immaculately kept (and the vinyl collection is top notch!) The hosts are responsive, thorough , and so friendly. The location is stellar for what we wanted; a quiet getaway with our little one that was close to Bar Harbor and the park. Worth mentioning that our favorite two meals for the week we stayed were at the lobster pound across the street and Sweet Pea farms a little up the road.

Amazing Spot

Jean and her family thought of everything. From extra toiletries to a bottle of wine to the printer, this home had more than we could have hoped for to make our stay comfortable. The thoughtfulness extended to detailed write ups of the many restaurants and activities in the Bar Harbor area, tupperware and coolers and ice packs for our trip to Acadia, and many unique touches throughout the home. We felt very fortunate to be there. It's a trip we will not forget!

Perfect Maine Vacation

Great location just a few minutes outside of Bar Harbor. Spent days exploring the park - hiking, sunrise, paddle boarding, sailing trip, exploring MDI. Dinners eating out in Bar Harbor or grilling in backyard. Evening camp fires with smores was favorite kid activity. House had everything we needed and host was very responsive with any questions. We look forward to a return trip in the future.

We have gone out of our way to make this home as well-stocked and furnished as possible, so you just need to bring yourself, your clothes, and some hiking shoes! We love pets—it is named after our dog Gordy, after all!—and welcome well-behaved pets into our home. It's tucked away at the end of a cul de sac, but just minutes -- a short bike ride even -- from the entrance to Acadia or the beach. We put our heart into this home, and know you'll love it as much as we do.

It's also beautifully appointed with high-quality furnishings, and expertly designed to be not just functional, but comfortable and beautiful as well. Our home is registered with the town of Bar Harbor to provide short-term rentals (Permit #1524; License #VR1R25-005) and have been inspected and passed all safety regulations.
