Peaceful Retreat

A peaceful retreat with the wonderful sounds of birds chirping. The furniture was comfortable for relaxing and sleeping. The hot tub was wonderfully relaxing. We love to shop for pottery and antiques, which could be easily found in Black Mountain, Asheville, Brevard and other nearby towns!

Nice Cabin

The sweet little cabin was great for a couple’s trip. The location was fine and private. Would have loved a little better view of the mountains but our small view was adequate.

Great hideaway

The cottage is in the perfect spot, close to downtown Black Mountain but in a quiet & peaceful area. All the neighbors were friendly, even the turkeys we saw throughout the day. It was a really clean place & set up perfectly for 2 people.

Wonderful time

The place was wonderful. Had a great stay at the Eden property. It was on a nice private road which lead to a wooded area that was quite. The cabin inside and out was amazing. The management company left us a starter kit which was so nice to have. Our stay was perfect and would recommend this property to family and friends. The place was very clean and well appointed with everything we needed for a lovely short vacation to the mountains.

Sweet getaway in need of a clean

Very nice little cabin that feels like you’re in the woods away from the world but still pretty close to many sights. Unfortunately it wasn’t very clean. We had to wash all the glasses before using them as there was nasty stuff in them, the sheets had an unfortunate red stain, and it was dusty.

Cozy Black Mountain Cabin

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. The cabin was everything we wanted it would be--comfortable, quiet, close to town. And the bread from the local bakery was such a wonderful surprise! We loved looking at the little pigs and goats who live along the road to the cabin. We definitely hope to stay here again.

House was super cute and beautiful view!

We enjoyed our stay at Nearly Eden. When first driving up and some of the surrounding areas you think hmmm... but the house was private and had great views. The only few drawbacks were there was literally no storage space for groceries with no cabinet space. The water pressure in shower was very low. Other than that we enjoyed our stay very much.

Sweet little place

This was a sweet little escape for our belated honeymoon. Loved the hot tub and view of the trees. Our last morning we saw a doe watching us while in the hot tub and birds sung to us each day. Very peaceful place to stay. Kitchen was equipped with the basics. Very close to beautiful hiking trails and asheville. Getting to the cabin on the property sometimes involved driving past a barking dog that seemed upset at our arrival but once at the cabin it felt like no one was around. The hill is a bit of a climb into the driveway but our rental van did ok. We enjoyed our time and would return. Thank you!

Lovely Mountain Getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nearly Eden was a great location to visit Biltmore, Downtown Asheville, Black Mountain, Blue Ridge Parkway, and ziplining in Barnardsville. The cabin is the perfect size for a romantic getaway. We enjoyed the hot tub and fireplace, and nicely stocked kitchen for supplies. The cabin was mostly clean and only had a minor issue with bed linens not being ready upon our arrival, but they were already working to fix that and it was resolved within 10-20 minutes. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and look forward to returning again soon!

There was even a delicious loaf of pumpkin spice bread in our cabin upon arrival. Everything was extremely easy and they gave us plenty of info regarding the surrounding areas and things to do and see. Our cabin was a dream. It's exactly what we imagined when we spoke of renting one. We will absolutely be renting again through Graybeard Rentals! Thank you so much for helping to make our trip perfect.

It is on a residential street but tucked away in an acre of woods. Front porch has a bit of a view of the majestic mountains. A peaceful and safe setting. Very convenient location for Asheville, Blue Ridge Parkway and hiking. Had concerns with another rental and Susan from Greybeard Rentals immediately coordinated a move to this lovely cabin. Will happily stay again and rent through Greybeard Rentals.

The pictures did not do the cabin justice as it was beautiful. Don't get me wrong the pictures sold us to the cabin but looking at it in person was stunning. We loved how tidy the cabin was and quaint. It had all the necessary items that you would need and some extras left out for you along with some amazing homemade bread. The jacuzzi was marvelous and tucked away at the rear of the cabin. Defintely a private location with the convenience of having stores nearby for your needs.

Thanksgiving 2023

The property is great if there are only two of you. Lighting could be better. The heat couldn't keep the house warm enough, especially the bedroom, where there is no heat. Water temp and pressure leave something to be desired. Also, there is no dishwasher, even though they provide the pods and tell you how to use it. All hand washing with lukewarm water. TVs were unusually small for a rental home. Overall, a decent stay but somwhat lacking in amenities, considering the nightly rate.

Absolutely Eden!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: While my husband and I love a nice hotel room, when traveling for more than a few days we crave more space. This cabin has all the comforts of home, and then some. Every room is beautifully furnished, the retro style kitchen a special touch. Loved having coffee on the front porch rocking chairs...watching the fog burn off the mountains every morning... and relaxing in the private hot tub on the back patio each evening. The location is perfect! Such an easy drive... no steep hills or switchbacks to navigate. Less than 10 minutes to downtown Black Mountain and an easy drive to Asheville. Also, booking with Greybeard is a must. From the info filled App to the personal attention (Tina & Renda)...everything was so easy. Just the way a vacation should be! :)

Wonderful stay!

We had a great stay! It was a lovely cabin that was a perfect fit for two people. Also in a great location that was remote, but also a short drive to downtown Asheville or to hikes. The only issue was some with problems with the wifi, so if you need internet reliability, that's something to consider.

Amazing retreat

Woods on one side and alpacas on the other! Perfect little cabin with hot tub, fireplace and the most comfortable vrbo bed I've ever been in! The kitchen is amazing and honestly makes me want the smaller fridge and cabinet contained washer dryer. 9 minutes straight into town!!!
