Hanky Panky cabin

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Cabin was exactly as described. Was perfect, clean and provided privacy. We stayed 2 nights. The second night we used the hot tub. They say they drain and refill the hot tub after each stay. Sadly within 48hrs of returning home, both of us had Hot Tub rash. The Hot Tub has not been cleaned and treated properly.

Enjoyable Relaxing Cabin

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall this was an excellent cabin and was a great way to spend our anniversary getaway. Everything was clean and well maintained. The hot tub was great and worked perfectly. The location was a little hard to get to and would be a real challenge in the winter. But it was nice that the back deck and hot tub were very private.

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We booked in September and wanted to cancel in January and they refused to refund us what we already paid. So we were stuck with the cabin. There were ants in the tub in the main bathroom, AC went out the first night, they were quick to come fix it but it didn’t last. It still didn’t cool properly. The hot tub smelled really bad, too much chemicals, so we didn’t get to enjoy it. The jacuzzi was terribly filthy (black stuff floating in the water)during the first use, so we didn’t get to enjoy that again. The loveseat was extremely wore out that you sink very deep if you sit on the left side. The only reason it got the stars is because we enjoyed the sights.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin was beautiful and clean. The jacuzzi tub and hot tub were very clean and fantastic. The only complaint would be there was no extra toilet paper or towels available in the cabin. This could have very well been an oversight. The bed mattress was extremely hard. I know some folks like a very firm mattress but I cannot sleep on one. My fault for not asking what type of mattress was in the cabin. We had a fantastic time and will use Elk Springs again in the future.

Honeymoon

Reviewer Comments: Overall the stay was great, situated in a nice spot almost directly between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge makes for not too terrible of a drive either way. Hot tub worked great, jacuzzi was a cute touch. Only complaint was the lack of WiFi for the first two days, which wouldn’t be a big deal had we not been guaranteed WiFi. Made the first couple days a little hectic with trying to plan activities, as we had to park in a parking lot in town and try to figure from there. They sent Adam to try and fix it the first night, he was great and gave us great recommendations around the area.

Our stay at the Hanky Panky Cabin

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Hanky Panky cabin needs some updates. The couch and chair were very worn and uncomfortable. We needed to use pillows as cushions to give the couch support. The bed was hard and not comfortable. One other issue, there is no place to store our clothes. When we stay at a place for longer than two days living out of our suitcases is not ideal. Even though we did not find this cabin ideal, we will still use Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals in the future and recommend you to our friends.

lack of concern over a gas leak

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: when we arrived Friday afternoon we immediately smelled propane when we opened the door.The whole cabin was filled with it. We opened the doors to air it out and checked the fireplace. The pilot light had gone out on the fireplace causing propane to leak into the cabin. We lit the fireplace in hopes it would clear out. We called customer service to let them know what was going on and we were told it's a common issue and as long as the pilot light stayed on then it should clear up. We left the cabin and came back a couple of hours later and the smell hadn't cleared up at all. We called back around 7pm and were told a ticket was submitted to maintenance and that we just had to wait for maintenance to accept the call. 45 minutes later we hadn't gotten an update so we called back and were told nobody had accepted the call yet. at 8:58 we received a text saying maintenance would arrive by 9:51. Around 9:52 we received a call saying maintenance wasn't comfortable coming up to the cabin that night. So we were left in a cabin that was filled with propane. We couldn't breathe it was so strong. We had doors open the whole time we were there trying to air it out. We had to take it upon ourselves to hunt down the propane tank outside and shut the tank itself off. They claimed the next day after calling and complaining again that maintenance still didn't feel comfortable coming up to the cabin even though the roads were spotless after it snowed. There was no attempt to move us to another property, no offer of any form of help. We just kept getting apologies and excuses. We asked to speak to management on Saturday and it is now Tuesday and we have yet to hear from anybody. We couldn't use the fireplace in 6 degree temps because we had to shut the gas off so that was an amenity we weren't able to use that we paid for. There was also no heating source at all downstairs where the pool table and futon are so we couldn't enjoy that amenity either because it felt almost as cold inside

The location was convenient 15mins from Gatlinburg and 15mins from Pigeon Forge however it was up a very steep mountain with a lot of blind curves. Elk Springs made it very easy and kept me updated with progress on issues and items needed. Also any problems or questions we had someone was available to talk and fix it.
