Nice clean and spacious property in quiet area. Host was friendly and available. Only tiny downside was ocean view is partially obstructed by garage but upside was huge patio/deck to relax in. Would definitely stay here again.

Great place!

The property is just perfect for your family. Clean, comfortable beds, spacious, good wifi, carport for your vehicle, easy to follow check out instructions. The view from the deck is unmatched. Everything you need is there. Definitely recommend!

Great North Cowichan getaway

Our party of two couples enjoyed staying at this lovely, comfortable home in a quiet neighbourhood not far from the heart of Chemainus. It was spacious and well-equipped, and the hosts were very congenial. We enjoyed a day walking nearby trails (Askew Park, Wul'aam Park, Stocking Creek Trail) and another day exploring the town of Chemainus, including an evening at Chemainus Theatre. This home was a wonderful base for our North Cowichan getaway.

A wonderful place to stay---great hosts, great view, well-appointed and equipped house including bath and kitchen details. . .everything available for convenience and comfort! Loved it. Take in the nearby Pacific Raptor Centre for an extraordinary closeup with hawks, owls, falcons!

Felt like home; great host.

I did not have a chance to meet our host, Carla, but she must have wings. We asked if we could check in early so we could go back to Saturday at Butchart Gardens. She made that happen. Then we changed our mind as it was too long of a trip. I asked if we could check in late because I did not want to disturb her, and she said "no problem". My friend and I stayed at several places on our trip and they were all the same: shiny new appliances, and furniture but little else. Walking into Carla's place felt like home. Not as "modern" as some places, but very comfortable with a big deck that has a view of the morning sunrise, Many places to sit and read, a desk with a view, and a comfortable welcome with towels on each bed. We like to cook some nights and most places have salt and pepper and perhaps an almost empty bottle of oil. Carla's herb and seasonings made me want to cook a big meal and invite the neighbors. We visited during Labour Day weekend and most people went to the west side, we decided to go to the east side and loved it. More of a community feel and would have liked to spend more time at places like Transfer Beach Park near Ladysmith.

Wonderful Stay

This was the perfect place to stay as a home base to tour the island. The home is spacious, comfortable and very clean. We spent most of our time on the upper deck eating meals and taking in the incredible view. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. Carla was a wonderful and friendly host and very quick to respond to any request we had. We would not hesitate to stay here again.. Thank you Carla!

Carla & Kyle were great! The property was clean, lots of room, and plenty of essentials provided. The view from the deck was beautiful. It was very quiet too. Lovely place

We had a great stay here. Very comfortable, nice, clean, quiet house. Lots of room for everyone. Great views. Nice to have laundry. Comfortable beds. Nice area if you just want to stay and relax. Chemainus is very nice.

Great place and great host

The location was great only a few minutes drive to town or a really nice walk to town. Very clean! Beautiful view of water and mountains and the large deck was very enjoyable. Carla was an amazing host and made our stay very enjoyable! We look forward to staying again the next time we come out west!

Great place for a family or two

We really enjoyed staying here. It was super quiet, very clean and comfortable. The location was great. It's very close to the centre of Chemainus, and only an hour to drive to Victoria for the day. We also did a day trip from Crofton to Saltspring Island. The Crofton ferry terminal is only 15 minutes away. There is more to do in Chemainus than we expected. Beautiful short hikes, lots of shopping to be done in town for art, candy and a great store that sold classic toys and records. If you're looking for a great family get away, I highly recommend this house as your "hub" to the Island. It fit our family of 4 generously. You could easily fit two families of 4 with the kids all sleeping in one room, or one or two in the living room. Thank you again!

This was our second stay at this property. It is a comfortable, spacious, well supplied, home away from home. The hosts are attentive, the house is well maintained, and the view is lovely. Location is very convenient for activities from Victoria to Parksville.

Great stay!

My family of six stayed here with lots of room so we were not in each other’s space. Hosts were very friendly and responsive to texts if we needed anything. Property was well kept and clean. Check in and check out uncomplicated and easy. Thank you so much for the hospitality.

Amazing home with a gorgeous view!

What a gem! Our family of six had the most amazing time staying at Kyle and Carla’s beautiful home! The first thing they did when we arrived was put our minds at ease about the noise (an inevitability with 4 kids!). The house was lovely with lots of room for our family. They even brought in an extra cot just in case we needed it! The location was perfect. A ten minute walk from the ocean and an eight minute drive from fuller lake. The view from the balcony was gorgeous and the breeze from the ocean kept the house comfortable, even with the unseasonably high temperatures. We will definitely be back! Thank you so much Kyle and Carla for your incredible hospitality!

Amazing home, all the amenities plus more, comfortable beds, and an incredible deck with a view. We also loved the walking paths close by and the beautiful town of Chemainus. Breathtaking day and night

Beautiful family home with a friendly family and wonderful view. We arrived just after dark to be treated to a spectacular moonrise. Great start to a peaceful long weekend. Close to trail walks and amenities. One of the best spots in Chemainus. Highly recommend staying here as a couple or a family, feels like a home from home.
