Om boendet

Mysig fyra sovrum, tre badkar på sjön vid sjön Martin. Vi ligger i en lugn vik där simning, fiske, solbad och andra vattenaktiviteter lätt kan avnjutas.
Huset ligger på en svagt sluttande (nästan platt) trädgård med enkel åtkomst till piren och flytbryggan. Du kan kliva ut i vattnet från trädgården och njuta av ett grunt område att leka i eller hoppa av änden av piren i djupare vatten. Det finns en Jet Ski-port ansluten till den flytande piren och gott om utrymme att parkera en båt. Ta gärna med dina vattenleksaker!
Njut av kaffe på morgonen på den avskärmade verandan. Det stora främre däck har utsikt över vattnet och erbjuder gott om skugga. Det finns också en grill som du kan använda.

Lake getaway

It was very clean and a very cute place to stay, the only complaints I heard was the weds weren’t the comfiest, but other than that it was wonderful!

Fabulous Weekend

We had a wonderful trip. The boat ramp was an added bonus. We unloaded and loaded our 24 foot boat with no problems. The house was just what we needed. The front porch was nice to have our coffee on each morning. The boat docks were nice and sturdy. I will stay here again .

Nice place!

Very clean home with a beautiful setting. Nice dock for our boat and ramps as well as steps all the way to the lake. The owner was excellent to deal with.

Vacation

Most All was great! The boat ramp lacks sufficient space to turn around after driving down to the house. One should be warned that the boat and vehicle pulling it must back completely down the driveway. A plus to the house was the ramp. We went to a public one to take the boat out…

Perfect Getaway

Perfect lake house. The owner is quick to respond and provides great details. The kitchen is very well stocked. Rooms are good sizes. Lots of outdoor siting. The place is very clean and organized. I highly recommend and we will return!!

Relaxing Fall Weekend

We very much enjoyed our visit to this relaxing lake home. Host put extra effort into making our stay fun and comfortable. She even left firewood in the fire pit for us! We enjoyed grilling on the large deck which overlooked the lake, drinking coffee on the dock, hiking at nearby Smith Fire Tower, and attending an AU football game, which was an easy 35 minute drive away. We will definitely return in the future.

Precious hideaway in a peaceful lake setting

Highly recommend and good communication for any questions. We hosted a cousin reunion and enjoyed using the dock and cooking in the fully equipped kitchen. Roomy and nice bathrooms and hot showers. There is nice afternoon shade from mature trees across the back. The inside is clean and comfortable. The grill and back porch and deck off the master could use some power washing:-)

Quiet and cozy

Laura's place is located in a quiet and relaxing spot. The cabin is clean and spacious with plenty of space for the whole family. Laura was quick to respond to all of my questions and check in/check out was super easy. Would stay again.

Neet Home in a Beautiful Location

Very cool home overlooking Lake Martin. Great location, great swimming, large dock if you have a boat or jet ski. Property manager was great and easy to work with. We were there for July 4th, many neighbors shot of a ton of fireworks.

Beautiful, comfy lake home!

We stayed a week with another family with teenagers & toddlers. It was a perfect home away from home, from the small details of lounge blankets everywhere to fresh summer flowers potted around the property, it is the perfect combination of cozy & ready for expected guests- stocked with Board games & an abundance of outside activities from corn hole to kayaking. The dock, yard, view- every aspect of the outside aesthetic- is absolutely beautiful! It does have a very steep driveway; however, Laura was very communicative about that & offered an easy solution to drop the boat in at the ramp a few minutes down the road! I would definitely stay here again & loved getting to experience a week at the lake in a home away from home!

Great for kids

This house was perfect for a family with small children. If you have a boat, our advice is do not attempt to pull/back it down the driveway. Leave it at the top of the hill beside the road until you’re unloaded, then go launch it at Dare Power Park, which also has an amazing playground. The house itself was very well stocked, had plenty of bedroom space, and a great shaded yard for the kids to play when not swimming.

Winter get-away

My party of four had a very enjoyable stay. The weather was cold so we took advantage of the fire pit and beautiful waterfront view. The crisp night air was clear and gave us a wonderful view of the night sky and the green comet. Our group likes to fish and this house was only ten minutes from the dock where we met our guide.

One guest’s so came over from AU and stayed. Plenty of room for the extra. Very nice place.

Immaculate. Came for golf and football so away during daylight. Kitchen well equipped and stocked. Bedding comfy. Fit our needs well.

Wonderful!!!

This property was wonderful and Laura was the most gracious host! The beds were so comfortable, the kitchen was well organized, the screen porch was serene, and the dock was delightful. We thoroughly enjoyed using the kayaks there, and when we didn’t find life vests, Laura arranged for the neighbor to provide some for us. While the accommodations themselves were exactly on point, Laura was the true gem of this rental property!

Excellent location and home

We enjoyed our time here. Everything was perfect and Laura was so accommodating and kind. We like being on the side of the lake that wasn’t so busy but enjoyed boating over to eat at the waterfront restaurants. We especially loved the dock at the house. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely house with beautiful view

This was our first time to Lake Martin and our family of four really enjoyed our stay. The house is located in a very peaceful and quiet area. They have a brand new dock, with multiple slips, that we tied our boat up to. Pirate island and big beach are right around the corner, and there are endless islands and coves nearby to park and float. The owners were incredibly accommodating, they even launched my boat for me!! We’ll be back!
