It was the perfect weekend getaway with our crew. The kitchen had EVERYTHING we needed, we never left the house except to go on the boat. The dock was perfect for the kids to run and jump off of and perfect place for the mommas to relax a little on the porch swing. We will definitely be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your beautiful lake house. The view is amazing and the area is relatively quiet. The adults as well as the kids enjoyed the outdoor area. The kitchen is well stocked for making family meals.

Gorgeous lake house that is beautifully decorated. The covered dock was very convenient. We had a large group of 14 people (8 adults and 6 kids) and the house was perfect for that size (both sleeping arrangements and eating tables / couches). The host (Shana) was a great communicator and very accommodating with check-in and check out times. Thank you.

Hands down most favorite vacation rental! This house was perfect for our large group and very well furnished. And very clean! The simplest things that make a vacation more convenient - kitchen cleaner, dishwasher tabs, extra paper towels and trash bags, a few laundry tabs - were all provided. We were max occupancy and still very comfortable in this house. The communication from Shana was amazing. The neighbors in the cove were friendly and welcoming, too. There’s a place for a boat trailer a few houses down if you bring a boat. The marina was close when we needed to refuel our boat. Seriously, the owners thought of almost everything to make this a great lake vacation home. Only two things I’d caution guests about: The driveway is steep. We didn’t encounter issues but if there’s mobility issues with anyone, you’d want to make sure they parked in the carport where it’s flat. You’ll also want to go launch your boat first. The steep driveway and narrow road are not truck trailer friendly. Turning around is almost impossible on the road. Also, one of the neighbors has a dog. It has an electric collar and won’t come into the yard, but it will bite if you go into its yard. My husband got bit while over talking to its owner on their dock. So if there are children, keep a close eye that they don’t wander over. The neighbor was very nice and not a negligent dog owner, the dog was just doing its job.

Had a wonderful time!The teen boys enjoyed the downstairs area, especially having the bunk room for sleeping.All the amenities were great, from the lily pad to the kayak and paddle board. Great location and excellent communication with the host. Would definitely stay here again.

Family Vacation

Our children grew up vacationing on Lake Martin at a family lakehouse. We do not have access to that house anymore. Everyone wanted to go back to Lake Martin and take the grandkids. This was a perfect place to accommodate a large family(8 adults and 2 gramd). The location of this house was perfect to be able to play in the water without all the boat traffic. We highly recommend staying here!

Annual Friends Trip

Great property for our annual trip with our friends. Super convenient to chimney rock and the other areas where we wanted to boat. House has large tables, perfect for playing games with a bunch of friends.

Perfect Lake Martin Getaway

Our recent stay was nothing short of exceptional. The owners' communication was impeccable. The house is beautifully appointed and meticulously stocked with everything we could possibly need. Great amenities-from cozy indoor spaces perfect for relaxing evenings to a spacious outdoor area ideal for morning coffees and late-night hangs. Lots of activities and things to enjoy, from cornhole to laying on the water mat by the dock. The separate bunkroom and lounge area downstairs ensured the children had a place to hang out while the adults enjoyed the upstairs living room. The location was perfect...nestled away but conveniently close to anything you would need or want to explore. Overall, we cannot recommend this vacation rental highly enough. It exceeded our expectations in every way possible. The perfect Lake Martin getaway.

Perfect house for large family. Kids loved the bunkbed. Great for three families. Lots of outdoor living space. Boat dock was perfect for our boat rental for the week. Kids fished off the boat dock and had a great time. House was perfect for large family dinners

Wedding Weekend

Perfect location for my daughter’s wedding weekend at Marsgate! My children were in and out due to them staying at Marsgate with the bridal party, and family and friends rented all around the lake. Everyone was blown away by our view, the accommodations, amenities, and our overall location. It was seamless! I couldn’t be more pleased! Thank you for a memorable weekend.

Lovely house for family get-togethers

We had a family get-together over Thanksgiving, complete with big Thanksgiving meal. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need to bake and cook, and there is plenty of seating for a big group. Checkin was easy and communication was easy and prompt. The location is beautiful, with a view of Lake Martin. It's about a 45min drive from Auburn, so an easy day trip to catch a game or visit campus. There is a big deck off the main floor of the house, and then by the water there is a patio area and a dock, with chairs and a wonderful swing-chair contraption. It was the cooler time of year when we were there but we still spent a couple hours out by the lake. There is a carport that fits two vehicles. There are two bedrooms on the main floor (good for guests who can't do stairs). Then downstairs there's another bedroom, and the bunk room for 6. The unit was clean and well-equipped. Wifi was good. Unlike many VRBO's, this one actually has cable TV and we watched a lot of football on Thanksgiving Day. This is one of the nicest VRBO's I've stayed at. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to visit the Lake Martin area.

2023 Family Vacay

We had a great time at this lovely home. Great location, plenty of room for our group of 10. Once we arrived I never left, except for in a boat. The house was well stocked with everything we needed for cooking. Beautiful views, easy access to chimney rock and several marinas. Kids loved it. Only recommendation is bring a paddle. There was a paddle board and a kayak but only one paddle. My grandson found a stick that he used to paddle the kayak! Owners were easy to communicate with and accommodating.

Quiet spot close to lots of attractions.

We had a great time with great accommodations. Minutes by boat from Goat Island & the Dam; less than 10min from The Ridge and Kowaliga's; 15min to The Landing at Parkers Creek and Catherine's Market at the XRoads; 20 min to Chuckwalla's and a little more for Dare Park. All highly recommended. Grandkids had a great time swimming off the end of the dock in 8' of water and right off the land via steps for 2' of water. The living area was a wide open space for the kitchen, breakfast, dining room, and den/TV room. We had a good time in the evening watching nightfall on the lake playing cards. We all had space while being together.

This grew into an annual tradition of 11 years. We decided to someday make Lake Martin our home and just recently bought a house of our own. For now, we are sharing our house with guests.
