När du anländer första gången kommer du att köra längs en charmig grusdrift fodrad med hänglås och blommande bergsgaller. Huset ligger på tio tunnland, med en plan skuggad trädgård som gör det till en välkommen plats för familjer och vänner att koppla av.

Du kommer att hälsas av en glad veranda med framsidan och en fantastisk utsikt när du öppnar ytterdörren in i det stora rummet med handgjorda träverk. Huvuddelen av hemmet har en öppen planlösning som strömmar sömlöst mellan det stora rummet och matsalen (8-10 personer). Strax utanför matsalen ligger köket, med noggrant handgjorda skåp, uppdaterade apparater, stort skafferi och pulverrum. På kvällen kan du dra dig tillbaka för att titta på solnedgången på bakre verandan med en omfattande sittgrupp i sten och titta ut mot Whiteside Mountain.

Master Retreat har ett stort omklädningsrum med två generösa garderober, eget badrum med eget badrum med handfat och fantastisk utsikt över bergen. De andra två sovrummen ligger på andra sidan huset med ett gemensamt badrum i en privat hall. Den fristående våningssängen har ett badrum, king size-säng och tre enkelsängar.

Området kring vårt bergshus heter Land of Waterfalls och har oändliga möjligheter till utomhusaktiviteter. Dessutom erbjuder städerna Highlands och Cashiers prisbelönta mat- och shoppingupplevelser.

Lovely Location and Home

The view was superb and the house was wonderful in spite of being a bit outdated. Our one disappointment was in the instructions we received the day before our check-in, we were told not to have a fire in the fireplace. One of the main things we love about the mountains and renting houses is to have a fire. Otherwise, the house was well appointed and we enjoyed our visit.

Heavenly View

My daughter has a house in Cashiers but we needed more room for the Thanksgiving overflow. This house was perfect with a main living area and separate wings off the den for sleeping. The view is amazing from the den. Enjoyed seeing deer in the yard.The house is well stocked even with spices. It is a perfect older mountain home. Very comfortable. Communication with the manager was good. We hope to rent again.

Amazing location & unbeatable view

Wonderful stay, you feel like you are visiting the mountain get aways of past. A step back to 1960, but with amenities we all prefer (dishwasher, warm showers, TV, kitchen, w/d, etc). Good communication, lots of space to spread out. Great house for entertaining. We can easily recommend.

Great

Great location and incredible view. One of the best in the area without a doubt. Quite property with no sight of homes or neighbors. A very relaxing environment and we loved that. No central air but there is a unit in the bedroom. However, it was a low of 48F in the morning and highs of 73F in the evenings with a light breeze. We didn’t use it anyway! Marilyn was great and very helpful with checkin and providing hikes in the the area to enjoy. Thank you !!

Amazing family mountain getaway

I stayed here with my dad, sister, 2 nephews and my daughter. It was so quiet and the view was amazing. Feels like you’re in the middle of nowhere all alone and peaceful, but you are I ites from Cashiers and Highlands. We loved it!

Lovely home

Beautiful home with gorgeous mountain views, convenient to Cashiers, Highlands and all the area has to offer. A great fit for our family, the home is spotless and clearly well cared-for. Also enjoyed the hikes, waterfalls, fishing, and more - all within close driving distance. Would definitely stay again!

Perfect Winter Spot

Our family had a great time at Free Bird! The views were spectacular off the back porch. The house was spacious and cozy. The kids particularly loved the swing in the front yard. The house was a short 10 minute drive with no turns to both Highlands and Cashiers.

Perfect family retreat

This was the perfect place for our young family of 4 to spend the week in the mountains. We had an amazing view and tons of room for the kids to play inside and out. The house feels totally remote and secluded yet you are only 10 minutes from Cashiers and 15 from Highlands. This has obviously been a well loved home and it made a perfect home away from home for us. They everything we could have possibly needed. We hope to be back. Could easily accommodate 2 families.
