Great place

The home had everything we needed. We stay at Sterling Shores every year. There’s a candy store and ice cream shop within walking distance, the pool is great, and the Back Porch is also within walking distance. Will be back again in a year.

Small. Would not stay in this unit again with a family.

Cons - Bedrooms are very very small. There is literally nowhere to set your luggage. No charger space in smaller bedroom. This would be suitable for 2 adults and a kid maybe. Master bedroom was just enough room for king sized bed, no space at all for me to put my suitcase. Dresser is so close to end of bed it’s hard to even get into the dresser. Patio furniture was rusty and I was afraid my toddler was going to cut himself on a rusty edge getting up onto a chair. Elevators were slow. They give you 2 tiny rolls of toilet paper for the entire stay. So go buy some. No bedding for pull out sofa. Plus - pool was great at Sterling shores. View from balcony was wonderful. Air conditioning was good.

Amazing stay

Great Getaway

We rented this condo for a short little getaway. We loved the ocean view, the people and cleanliness of the condo! The guest services was great to check In with us when we first got there and was helpful when we were in need of a hair dryer! Easy instructions and great neighbors! Not impressed with the decline in the property appearance. Furniture does not allow for any space to even walk around the bed in the room. Floor coverings and countertops dated and worn. Scratching this one from the list.

Family Get-Together July 2019

I would definitely stay on this property again but probably would not select #815 due to the queen bedroom. Pro: The view out the balcony was beautiful. #815 overlooks the large pool and the ocean. Pro: Kitchen was great-CLEAN, plenty of pots, pans, tools, dishes, ice maker. Pro: The bathrooms were nice-we had enough towels and they were in great shape. Pro: Washer/dryer were large and newer models. Pro: Everyone who works at this property were friendly. The maintenance staff was fast, thorough and solved all our problems. The beach staff was always helpful. The pool and beach area was always kept clean. Con: The bedroom with the queen bed was so small, you literally could not walk around the bed. To get in/out of bed, you had to crawl over the person on the outside. That was a horrible situation for us as we had a mature couple with a bad back and recent knee replacement. The 2nd couple is 8 months pregnant and the husband had both hips replaced. Also, this bedroom has no closet, so the suitcases had to be stored in the hall by the front door and clothes hung in the master closet. Con: The carpets in the bedroom are threadbare at the door. As a result, little nails are sticking up through the carpet. My granddaughter and I stepped on them. A maintenance man came and repaired it quickly and said they had recommended the owner replace the carpet. Con: In the living area, there is a small couch, a coffee table and a chair. The couch felt like it had seen better days! There was little support which made it very uncomfortable to sit on. We never pulled it out for sleeping. Note-Publix and some food delivery will not deliver to these condos. We were excited to hear the local grocery store, Publix, delivers for a nominal fee. Having to run to an always crowded grocery store after a long drive is not my idea of fun. And then trying to find a cart to get all the groceries up to the condo is always difficult. We found out Publix will not deliver to these condos. We did get pizza delivered.

Very clean

Love Sterling Shores & Destin!

This is our 2nd time staying at Sterling Shores Resort (different units) and we absolutely love it. Super close to the beach and restaurants/shops. Very clean, comfy & family friendly! We are very happy and will likely be back again.

Best Condo In Destin

We love staying in this condo. It is beautifully decorated, has new mattresses, and a perfect view. I love grabbing one of the oversized mugs and sipping coffee on the deck. We have stayed there multiple times and everything is clean and homelike each time. Don’t forget to grab a drink from the Backporch restaurant located across the street and take it to the Sterling Shore wooden structure right on the beach. It is a great spot to see the sunset! I know this place books up quickly so don’t wait or you will miss your chance to stay in the best condo in Destin.

Great room and property but a tiny crowded beach

The room and the overall property was quite nice but it was overshadowed by the fact that it accommodates WAY more people than what can comfortably fit on the small narrow beach. The umbrellas are crammed in so tight they create a barrier between the water and the beach - only way to access the water is to squeeze under other people's umbrellas which is awkward and frustrating. And the whole front row was reserved in advance so we always ended up in the back where you really can't even see the beach very well. One night we went to enjoy the pool but no one had turned on the lights and there was a group with beer bottles lined along the pool edge, blasting mariachi music so loud we could not enjoy ourselves so we just went back to the room. One thing we did really like was the no smoking on property. Other places we've stayed we've had problems with second hand smoke in the pool, on the beach, or from neighboring balconies but we did not experience that here! We'd probably consider returning IF it weren't for the very disappointing overcrowded beach experience.

Decent condo

We have stayed at sterling shores before and loved the location it’s a. 3 min walk to the beach the pools are nice and it’s convenient to everything. This condo has everything u need but was a little run down in my opinion a lot of things were broken and half put back together but nothing was bad enough to cause a fuss about because the view from the condo was nice and we spent most of our time out anyways.
