great location and large condo

We loved the location and the grounds were very well kept. The pool and location to the ocean was fantastic. The additional security of having the condo complex gated with a guard was appreciated. The condo was an excellent layout and very large and spacious. I feel the space could use a good deep clean and many of the items in the kitchen needed to be replaced (including the dishwasher). There was also no hand soap or dish cloths. Other than that, everything was great. The owner was responsive, but not the property management company.

Amazing condo, beautiful pool, stunning beach

We stayed at Audra's condo for 6 nights in August 2022. The condo is just so beautiful - even better than the photos. Everything and anything you need is there. The furnishings are tasteful and comfortable. The towels - bath and beach - are thick and fluffy. The view speaks for itself. The pool is so crisp and clean and the beach is amazing. We loved the beach lounges and chairs and really appreciated the little "harbor" where the water wasn't very deep - super safe for our 6 year old to play and be free. We didn't want to leave! Thanks so much! xox

Very nice stay

Everything you needed was there and in excellent working order inside the condo. Lots of kitchen utensils and pans and the appliances were all quite new. The furniture had all new leather sofas and chairs. Having the condo cleaned once a week was wonderful. There were three of them cleaning so it only took about an hour to clean so it was wonderful since we were at the beach anyway. Such a nice place to visit with people from all over the world and big enough that if you wanted to be alone you could find that spot at the beach or at the two pools. Condo had a nice view of pools, ocean and beach. Loved it and we are already set to return again.

Villa Del Mar is the BEST property located in Puerto Aventuras. It's ideal location is within walking distance of everything needed for a relaxing vacation. The complex is quiet, well taken care of, and has very helpful staff. The beach/ocean view from D-204 is truly amazing. The interior of the condo is also exceptional, the pictures online really do not do the condo justice. Everything about the condo, and property exceeded our expectations! Staying at Villa Del Mar was our best experience yet in Mexico. We've travelled there several times, and this trip was by far the most enjoyable. I relate our enjoyable experience to the condo, property, and overall feeling of security in Puerto Aventuras. I definitely recommend this property for anyone looking for some relaxation. Thank you Scott and Audra for sharing your condo with us!!

As Good As Advertised

Our family of 5 (children 5,7,9) took our first trip to Mexico and Puerta Aventuras and Villa Del Mar were great! Condo is on 2nd floor overlooking pool and beach. Location couldn't be better. Condo pools are great and beach is wonderful. Condon very comfortable for family of 5 - could have slept 5 children (7 total ) easily. Nice and spacious. Blue Carribean - the managing company - is a 2 minute walk away. My wife forgot the code to the door and Blue Carribean helped her and the kids get back in. They also stocked the fridge with our grocery list for $30!!!!! This was priceless - after flying from the West coast with kids all day - we arrived to a fully stocked fridge. They got us six "chickens" instead of six chicken breasts - the service and laugh was well worth the price. The condo location is great inside Puerta Aventuras and was very safe. There are plenty of restaurants and stores within a 2 minute walk. Hippos made great table side shrimp. The only bad meal we had was at the Omni Hotel - greasy and expensive. PA is easy to get to the ruins and multiple eco parks. We had an internet problem with the weather and blue carribean got it up and running the next day. Towels for the pool and beach - really the description and all the 5 star reviews are dead on accurate. Would tell anyone traveling with family that this condo and PA is the place. We saw plenty of wildlife - monkeys, pelican taking fish out of the ocean right in front of us, many iguanas - one snuck some apples off our chair, and a few crabs that snuck into the pool during a storm - the kids loved all of it.

Great Location, Great Pool, Great Beach

We have stayed in Puerto many many times and this was one of our favorites. The facilities at the Villa Del Mar are excellent, best pool in Puerto, plus. The condos are well maintained as are the grounds and you simply aren't going to get a better location in Puerto. Everything is exactly as you see it in the pictures and Audra was quick to answer any questions and checked in to make sure we were having a good stay.

Great place to stay!

We loved our stay at the condo! It was very clean and comfortable! Beautiful view from the balcony and short walk to the beach! My girls enjoyed the pool and snorkeling in the ocean. The grocery store was nearby so we could eat breakfast and lunch at the condo, and we enjoyed many of the restaurants at the marina for dinner! Wonderful, quiet place to stay!

Beautiful Beach in a Great Location

Very pleased with the condo & the entire process. This is our 15th trip to Mexico/Caribbean. It's our second time renting a condo & first time through VRBO. Everything went perfectly with no surprises or hidden fees. From the beginning the owner quickly answered all our emails. Once we made our final payment, she emailed a welcome packet of information, including door code, rules, area attractions, etc. We used Cancun Transfers & easily found the condo. Villas Del Mar is a gated complex inside a gated community. It felt VERY safe as did the entire community. The guard named Jose spoke English fairly well & got to know us. He was our go-to guy for info. On arrival the door code worked first try. The condo is second floor, tastefully decorated, clean, & has modern appliances. The complex is the closest to the marina/restaurant center. Plus it has the best beach we saw while walking. Some of the condos and resorts had basically no beach. The pools are also large & clean. We were there late July & the complex was fairly empty. There are loads of beach chairs. They are brought out by a gentleman who tends to you at the beach. Sitting out your chair seems to be his only job. There are rock walls that keep out the seagrass, but one can go around them and be in waist deep water. This kept the beach more clean than neighboring beaches. Back to the condo, it really had everything one could need. The kitchen had everything we needed. There were TVs in living room & both bedrooms. Internet worked well. The patio held a jacuzzi tub & had just enough room for table & 6 chairs. No grill, but we didn't need one. This unit is about in the center of the complex. There were also beach towels & toys, DVDs, books, a few children's toys, & more. We rented a golf cart. It was nice to explore the community. The restaurants are all within walking distance, but it was hot in July and we were feeling lazy. It wasn't a must. There were plenty of parking spaces available. Once we were sure we could get in the condo we went to the Chedraui (sp?)- local grocery store that was a 3 minute cab ride and about $13 round trip. The prices were good/fair. All the restaurants & shops we visited accepted pesos & US dollars. However, some did not accept credit cards. The smaller of the bedrooms had trouble cooling down, but it was mid July. We would highly recommend this condo. If renters aren't pleased with this place, then they must be high maintenance.

Wonderful condo, great location, just a few steps to a beautiful beach, white sand and crystal clear water - Omni Hotel next it has beach bar with very good food and drink offerings. Very good location for kids and families. Shops and nice restaurants very close by...amazing cenotes just a 5 minutes drive away

Wonderful VDM Condo!

My wife and I stayed @ this lovely condo in Villa Del Mar from 1-13-18 to 2-10-18. This was our 1st time trying a condo rental instead of an all-inclusive, but it won't be our last. The condo totally exceeded our expectations! It is situated to give you a great view of the pool and beach/Caribbean from both the living room and even better from the Master Bedroom. Nicely appointed furnishings and really thought the lay out was superb. Very nice tile flooring and counter tops were excellent. The furniture was very nice and bed was comfortable. There are satellite TVs in the living room and each bedroom to enjoy a show b4 bed when we wanted. We enjoyed taking afternoon coffee and our evening meal on the balcony to enjoy the late afternoon breezes and as a nice way to end our days @ the beach. The condo is situated in an ideal spot just steps from the pool and beach as well as being close to restaurants & shops of P.A. itself. We took advantage of this location when we wanted to go for lunch or dinner @ the restaurants. Recommend the ribs @ Café Ole, Shrimp from Happy Hippo and Nauti Burro makes excellent burritos. Villa Del Mar is a very peaceful and serine complex, with most people just quietly going about enjoying their days on the beach or poolside. It may get a bit loud in the early evenings when the music from Omni hotel gets going and people return from the bars, but nothing excessive by any means. With the exception of two evenings, we opened the windows every night and enjoyed the cool tropical breezes. The VDM staff are wonderful from Jose the security guard, Marcos who is always working on lawn maintenance and on the spot to bring you a lounge chair @ the beach to the pool maintenance guy who keeps that area impeccable to the maids who cleaned twice weekly, gate staff etc. You can tell they care about doing the best job possible and all were extremely friendly and welcoming!! The reef in front of the complex provides fantastic snorkeling and we were out there almost daily exploring the coral formations, colorful fish and even a few stingrays. For just wading in to cool off, there is an area protected by netted coral that is very calm and sandy. The area just outside of this is also sandy b4 you get to the start of the coral and was great to just swim for awhile here when we decided to not snorkel. Amazing, amazing condo that we'd highly recommend! Thanks Audra for sharing your fantastic property and we hope to visit again in the future!

Excellent 'as new' condition in prime location.

This two bedroom spacious unit had been fully upgraded in 2017. The maid service, management, grounds keeping and security are excellent. Second floor provides a superior breeze to ground floor units. Only used ceiling fans and open doors for perfect comfort during our month long stay. Easy access to one of the best pools and well maintained sandy beaches in all of Puerto Aventuras. We have no reservations about a full recommendation for this unit and expect to be back asap.

Great location

This is a clean condo with nice furnishings. Restaurants, stores and dolphin experience are within walking distance. Attractions (Tulum, Cenotes) and Playa del Carmen are just down the road. The beach is quiet with very few kids.

wonderful stay

VRBO limits the length of my review here so I will concentrate on the unit alone and log a more complete review of the property and area on tripadvisor. I can echo most of the other reviews here. First, Audra returned my RFQ almost immediately. Throughout the entire booking process, she was extremely responsive, very accommodating and very pleasant to deal with. Once there, we couldn't have been happier. Our flight arrived early and were able to get in, no problem. The property is, as described elsewhere, beautiful. The unit itself is situated nicely overlooking the pool and the beach to some extent. Inside, the master is very generous in size, has a huge, quite comfortable king size bed, and a bathroom with a nice size walk in shower. The second bedroom has, as described, a double and 3 bunk beds - you could probably fit 5 kids in there pretty easily, with its own bathroom and tub/shower. The living area is good sized with a comfortable wrap around couch, dining area, and outdoor patio with furniture. The kitchen has almost every utensil and gadget you should need - plenty of plates, drinkware, and flatware for any situation. The unit has upwards of 60 movies of all genres if you'd prefer to watch those in the evening. All appointments and fixtures are as you would expect from a wonderful luxury vacation home - not just a rental. The property is very quiet and private. The central courtyard has two huge pools each with zero entry ends, perfect for little kids but big enough to swim laps if you cared to. The beach has both a private area and a public area along the water, the best of both worlds. Chairs at both places were always plentiful. The ocean has an area behind a breakwater of calm, warm, knee deep water, perfect for little kids to spend the entire day in. Outside the breakwater is a huge bay of 4-8ft of water full of marine life and no boat traffic. My 9 and 13 daughters lived out there in their snorkeling gear with the sting rays, eagle rays, the occasional turtle and almost every fish the caribbean has to offer. The marina/dolphin discovery area is directly adjacent with everything you might need including restaurants, shops and sundries. In short, this is a wonderful area, building, and unit. If you've never booked VRBO before, this booking exprience and property will spoil you and make you wonder why you'd ever want to do it any other way.

We were lucky enough to stay in this condo for a week, and it was absolutely breathtaking. The condo, the town, the people, and the location couldn't be better. There are adventure parks, cenotes, ruins, and shopping within 5-10 minutes of the condo. We really enjoyed the private beach. The beach for this condo was definitely the best in Puerto. The condo was decorated beautifully, and it was everything you'd expect and more. It was very updated and modern. The other guests in our group really enjoyed the plethora of movies and books. It had the feel of a private beach house. The condo opens up to the pool and the ocean, and the breathtaking view will never be forgotten. We will definitely be back. My husband and I are native Coloradoans, however, we are defintely, 'water people', and have always been drawn to the beach. We have four children, ranging in age from 16 to 28. We are definitely busy people, but whenever we can get away, of course, we choose to go to Puerto Aventuras. Our passion is investing in real estate, and the opportunity to purchase this beautiful beachfront condominium in the most gorgeous location, was one we could not pass up! In fact, we loved the area so much that we also purchased the condo next door a year later. We truly believe that anyone who visits, will love this breathtaking resort as much as we do! When the opportunity came for us to invest in a vacation property, we knew we had to choose some place that captured ALL the elements we knew we would need to have. It had to be a beachfront location, with beautiful water, family-friendly, close to area attractions, convenience and, of course, safety. After exploring Cancun, Cozumel and the Riviera Maya, we fell in love with the gorgeous white powdery sand, charming and safe resort known as Puerto Aventuras. The friendly people, breathtaking views, brilliant ocean bay and the many activities and adventures of the area make this the perfect choice for our family and yours! We will always treasure our memories of Puerto Aventuras.

Our most favorite activity to do in Puerto Aventuras is just to relax and enjoy the breathtaking views of the ocean and beach. The waters are calm as the bay is bordered by a reef, which makes it possible for our second favorite activity, snorkeling. Equipment can be rented right off the beach. We've seen all different colors and species of fish, stingrays and even sea turtles! The kids love the 'Dolphin Discovery' program which is just a five minute walk from the condo. They have swam with the dolphins 3 times now, and it is a thrill for them every time! The dolphin lagoon is surrounded by twelve charming outdoor restaurants, for either grabbing a quick snack or indulging in a steak and lobster dinner. If you want to try the adventure of deep sea fishing, the marina is also a five minute walk from the condo, and we recommend 'Poverty Sucks' Fishing Tours' for a morning or afternoon of terrific fishing. Your catch can be prepared by one of the restaurants for free! There are also many exciting attractions within a twenty minute drive. Visit Tulum to see the ancient Mayan ruins and gorgeous beaches. Xcaret is an eco-park that features sea turtles, snuba, underground rivers, buttefrly pavilion, and a spectacular Mayan cultural show. X-Plor is a thrilling attraction featuring zip lines, exploring an underground paradise, and jungle exploration on an incredible amphibious ATV! The activities and attractions also include horseback riding, ATV Jungle Rides, shopping, enjoying nightlife in Playa del Carmen, scuba diving, or just relaxing under a palapa with an ice cold margarita.
